Tune in to see a solo session where Lloyd heads out to target smooth hound at newton point.... the fish action was so fast and ferocious he couldn’t keep up with the fish.
Here in Australia, Bream love the prawns too. You don't even have to worry about shelling them. Just found your channel and going through them all. Absolutely loving them.
Good session .Smoothhound are such good fun and nice section on handling. My mate has caught plenty on whole unshelled prawn but haven't had any joy myself with them yet although only tried a couple of times.
New sub...really enjoyed that mate, I'm located at East anglia..most of our hounds take peelers odd one on ragworm, will definitely try the prawn. Cheers buddy.
Recently found the channel I’ve watched nearly all of your vids I’ve got 3 left to watch they are absolutely cracking vids fair play. The amount of times I see hounds held wrong or a scale stuck in their mouth or tail I go crazy at some of them I understand that they could be beginners however there’s normally always someone on the marks which can help or put research in before going to these prolific hound marks such as this. Hounds are one of my most favourite fish to catch due to the bite they give and how fun they are especially on light gear. Great to see someone trying to help the community and helping people with holding the hounds.
Bandit Fishing UK yep I like the proper welshie accent I’m from Blackwood and love some of these marks you fish although I’ve not a had a double figure fish I’m trying to target a double figure hound or blonde ray which I’ve never caught I’ve put at least 100 hours into it and I’ve still not had any luck I’ve gone to newton, morfa, witches point which all produce double figure hounds mainly but I’m seriously struggling I’ve tried different rigs different distances baits e.t.c but I’m sure it’ll pay off at some point.
Morgan Davies perseverance and it will pay off. The bigger fish usually show up in august and early September so still a chance to get a double. The rough ground marks around marcross usually hold a better stamp of fish.
Bandit Fishing UK yeah hopefully it’ll pay off yeah I’ve been told that by a few people especially the rays they fully come out towards that time. I’ll do a bit of research of which marks are good around that area cheers for the information.
@@BanditFishingUK thanks Llyod.. Yes we get some cool cars here.. I'm off fishing this afternoon thats how I came across your vidoes, looking for good marks lol.
Enjoying the Videos, good content and info. Question. Which Vass waders are you using, are they studded. Looking at buying, need something reliable. Many Thanks. Andy.
Hi Andy, These are vass 740 waders, they are studded and extremely good over slippery surfaces. The only negative is that I’ve had 2 pairs and the welly has split on both of them. I’ve managed to patch them up with glue and they do hold out but it’s worth thinking about if you’re going to buy a pair. Cheers Lloyd.
Hi Gavin, in April you can expect a range of fish, dogs, conger, late codling, rockling, rays on the clean ground to the left of where I fished in that video. If I was fishing there at that time of year I would probably fish a pulley rig with a mixture of fish baits, mackerel, sandeel and squid. Thanks for watching.
Nice vid guys. Very informative and like the fish welfare tips. How easy is the access to Newton point? I have mobility issues and limited to level walks and definitely no rock climbing 😂. What time of year is best for Smoothies? Any help would be really appreciated
Hi Charlie, it’s fairly easy access not a long walk but you have got to cross some rocky ground. If you’re local to there take a trip without the rods and have a look at the ground. They’re showing now and usually are around until late august and mid September. The better numbers are in June and July.
@@BanditFishingUK Thanks for the really useful info. I’ll take a look down there as soon as I can. To be clear, is the mark off the end of the car park that you access through the caravan park? The shorter and more level the walk is the better.
Hi Chris I don’t have a personal Facebook account you can private message me through the Bandit fishing uk page. I will send you an invite to the page.
Hi mate, they’re a clip from a guy called Hunters Fishing Supply’s he did have an eBay account and website but they seemed to have gone. Search for him on Facebook and his shop will pop up.
Hi mate, in this video I’m using Penn Fathom 15s with a Chris Maccey mag conversation. Also have the newer Penn Fathom Casting Special. In my option these reels offer everything I need from power for rough ground and distance casting when it’s needed. Thanks for watching
Wanting to start with multipliers this year but really don’t know what one to start with been told to defiantly get one with a mag to control it better heard the Fantoms are really good
@@unknowndigits1258 fathoms are really good reel. If you’re just starting out buy second hand you can always sell on them and not lose out on anything if it’s not for you. Most of my reels have been bought second hand.
