Busy Family and Work lives have put a pause to things for a while at least. We hope to get some more videos out to you in the future but please understand how busy life is with young families and current life pressures. Thanks for your support!
Ayup, i switched to circle hooks size 1,0 now ,flounder fishing in the humber, they hook up nearly every time with no deep hook problem's,, cheers for the vid 😊
Hello there , wondering if you can help me identify the raised platform looking thing I saw at low tide along the line of the mouth of the river at aberavon , I tried walking out to it but got pushed back by the tide
Quality video m8. Fished the Green light with GG. Month or so ago. Nice Thornback for me and Kev Nottle had a Blonde. Cheers m8. Tight lines cheers Paul 🎣🎣🎣
Life has happened! We both have very busy work and family lives. We hope to get a few videos out in the summer. Thank you and everyone else for being so patient!
Problem with Loughor is that theres a lot of Filipino people that snag fish down there Every bloody summer you see large groups of them using multiple treble hooks with a heavy weight and they snag everything from Flounder to Bass to Mullet keeping absolutely everything they catch regardless of size or species.
This is a mark between Magor and Redwick known as the W. A huge part of fishing is finding out new marks for yourself and doing a bit of homework. There are more than enough clues in the video to find the mark for yourself. We are far from selfish Steve and there are no secrets here. We started the channel to share with others after all.
Yes that’s spot on Mark. Park away from any gates and don’t leave anything valuable in the car or at least not on show! Walk around the SIG factory and there’s only one path now. You’ll come out looking at the first mark called the “Gut”. Just keep walking right and you’ll see plenty of cracking marks. All the best
I (Phil) will eat the occasional flounder. They are nice filleted and skinned then fried in a light batter. Or even filleted and fried gently in butter with just salt, pepper and fresh parsley. They are a very underrated eating fish.
Wow! Calm sea but a huge swell. Looks scary. Are you fishing onto a clean bottom or is it all rocks? Have you tried the raw prawns you can get from supermarkets? I've had interesting results. Great video!
Great stuff. Smoothies are much more common now so are dogfish. 20 years ago we rarely saw them on the south coast - now they're everywhere. Great sport and no commercial value. Be nice to see the cod return though!
When you mentioned walking back with a big bait made me think of a Cardiff Sea anglers comp in 86. I had read that a big Bass become scavengers and pick up anything so with that in mind I put on a double Sand eel bait and did the walk back and had a 12lb Bass which was a club record. We fished a night time comp at Monknash it was a crazy night as my mate had pb Small Eye ray and we witnessed a catch of a Monkfish which had to be 20lb plus…happy days. Great vid thanks for posting 👍
Sorry the content has stalled Scott - and everyone else. It’s very unlikely I (Phil) will be recording videos any time soon. It’s all down to Lloyd for now
Sorry we’ve missed your comment until now Gary. The finished length is around 18 inches. I did a video on making the rig from scratch ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xqkEUSlbQ6o.html. As you know there are no hard and fast rules and rigs as short as 12 inches work also. We generally use shorter rigs when the tide is pulling harder. Thanks for watching 👍🏼🎣
