Any growing production team will need an intercom system at some point, but chances are those teams have been putting off the purchases because quality intercom systems, especially wireless systems, are notoriously expensive. But companies like Hollyland have recognized the demand for simple, wireless intercom systems and are creating supply for small and large church productions alike. We had the opportunity to team up with Hollyland and send a set of the SolidCom C1 Pro’s to Colin Wells, the creative director at Point Church in Cary, North Carolina.
“To me, the best part about these intercoms is you are able to use them anywhere because they don’t have to be tied to a hub in one location,” Colin says. “There’s something that you can take with you to any situation. And so that’s one of my favorite things, especially as you’re growing as a church, as you’re looking to potentially upgrade your intercoms, upgrade your worship experience. Sometimes it’s hard to make that investment.”
That’s right-the Solidcom system is hubless. Each headset is connected to one “master” headset, and the system can handle up to eight total headsets without a hub. A hub can be added later to essentially endlessly expand the system, all with noise-canceling mic technology that filters out everything but the user’s voice.
