Pixi-Gags, The minecraft mob vote is still open. Quickly! Can you please tell your subscribers and followers to vote for the crab ? Because i want the crab in minecraft.
that makes it so easy to understand! for me, physics are a though thing to get right and these tips, like just one ball moving foward for a nice and steady wave, are absolute life savers.
ooh very nice! I think you made an animation tutorial on water waves once (I might be wrong) but this takes an extra step to it! Also are you gonna continue your How to design original characters series? That first one was really interesting and I'd love to see more
Hello Nezko, thanks so much! :D Yes I made some water physics tutorials but not specialized in waves. Thank you for letting me know about the OC series, yes I will make more!
Heyyo! i have been watching all of your Tutorial videos lately! Not sure if you still remembered me But im okay if you dont remember me that much since i can relate and i have a bad memory! I was wondering what makes the animation more smoother and What fps(Frame per second) do you use for it? All of your tutorial videos Works very well when i tried out!! my main question is, just wondering Is there way where you can show us how to animate a "Character being chased by another one and end up stopping by a dead end with rocks falling down" You can just remove or not include the rocks on the tutorial, All i just want is to learn what keys, Expressions and Required Poses do i use for it! i was planning on Starting my series called Bloody Liar, and somehow needed to learn more of the animation techniques! My english isn't that good enough, hoping i can learn better and explain it correctly! If there is any chance you could Show us how to, I really much appreciate that!! im sure Your videos are 110% very helpfull! even tho sometimes i see unfamiliar words but whenever i just the video, i started to understand and get it! Thank you! Stay safe! please keep up with this helpful and cool tutorial videos! if i have a budget and my paypal is fixed, i might buy one of your colouring books! Colouring pages are super satisfying✨ -JLCERB/J/JL/Zotova
Hello Itz, how nice to hear from you I hope you are well!! I love your enthusiasm and I appreciate you watched my videos and found them helpful. Regarding what you ask, that sounds a really engaging sequence and I start by sharing videos I have done already that relate: - I work at 25 fps on 2 drawings per frame, so if you work on 12 fps at 1 drawing per frame you should get the same smoothness. But it's not only the fps, for smoothness the drawing should follow patterns: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-z48FqEWab1s.html -This is a perfect panic run cycle you can use in a chase: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-88SK1XkxrBI.html - Example on how a quadruped stops after run: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UutkXArdZbY.html -If your character is changing direction in a chase: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YJsfXSJvj5A.html -Some extra example of what can happen in a chase sequence: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0Trui2j8_Eg.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-I6mHaZfXLBg.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OkBhS8DpOIk.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Sgr4TKUDwfA.html
No worries, Kot! It's alright that you did some work before watching my tutorials, this way you can get a better understanding of how your work can improve by using the principles! 😊✌
It's just to make the action more interesting. The basic illusion is that due the waving it looks like the actual water is moving forward, but it doesn't.
Hey Pixi, I've been having some issues lately. Whenever I really try using a timing chart, the animation ends up looking pretty stale and kind of overly stiff and/or looking just straight up bad. I get spacing and all of that stuff, but when I use a timing chart, all of that just kinda disappears and the animation looks just.. Bad. When im not using a timing chart, the animation looks better. And yet, when I Google it or ask other animators, they tell me to just use a timing chart anyway because ill eventually get better. I'm not seeing any improvement.
Hello Nifty! Thanks for sharing, that's a very interesting subject. Timing charts are mostly to control the spacing of the drawings in your scene so the assistant animator also understands what you did and understand where to put the missing inbetweens. If you work "straight ahead" you can just animate freely and only chart the parts where inbetween drawings are missing (if you have to slow-in to a pose for instance). Regarding the breakdowns, if by drawing poses and adding breakdowns the animation is a bit stiff, you can redraw on top of the drawings in a sequential way ( first, second, third > > >) exaggerating, following arcs, making sure there is drag and overlap etc. About people telling you to use charts, it has become a fashion as it gives a gentle and pleasurable feel to the animation. Some animators like Glen Keane rough out the drawings, time them and then just chart the parts that need inbetweens. I would say if what you do looks good, how you got there doesn't matter! :D
I want to keep my habit to comment at every vid (from when I subscribed) on this channel (and sometimes at posting) but I don’t know what to say rn, like, is cool, or wow, or, I don’t know. Help.
