Now this is the nicest hydraulic elevator I have EVER ridden in my life! it is SO SMOOTH that the only real way to tell it is moving is by listening to it. It is located by the loading dock at the king of prussia mall and I will have to say it is an official dieselducy "must ride" elevator. I have been on alot of hydraulics but this one by far is the best one i have EVER ridden. Facebook: / dieselducy

smooth hydraulic veins dieselducy plus im a elevator fan also big elevator sounds like angel singing from heaven slowing down and going down but good for a hospital bed lift.

This was actually modernized. The fixtures are Survivor Plus, and the doors are actually now small manual freight doors.

Are you sure? Sounds like you’re describing a different elevator.

It was indeed rebuilt. Funny story: the rebuild had to be rebuilt because two members of a crack overnight construction crew slammed the new manual doors down, shot the counter-weight out of its housing and then sent the elevator up with the weight and its cable freewheeling about. Of course it snagged and wracked the entire car. They were stuck inside until the following morning and the elevator was down for months.

@owenhinton I believe it is in the loading dock next to Lord & Taylor... I have never been on this elevator though...

Very noisy but sounds like the ride would be worth getting busted on. I also like the fact that the lights on the eye are visible. I've only seen that on one other elevator before and that was at MoMA.

@nospeakamericano97 Well "that door" is no longer in existance. It now has peelle bi-parting doors and epco survivor fixtures courtesy of ThyssenKrupp Elevator team Philadelphia :)

These are from 1996 and I believe they are Schindler.

Multi-ton freight elevators usually aren't that good. Must be maintained very well!

@@DieselDucy no I don’t believe so. And a lot of these comments are from 11 or 12 years ago saying that they replace the doors. Which makes no sense because I wrote this thing as late as 2013.

can someone please explain why there are so many videos of people who seem to know the brand and models of elevators near them and take videos of themselves moving up and down in them and basically reviewing an elevator?
