Buttermilk Biscuits
Ingredients
2 cups self rising flour, 250 grams
1 stick unsalted butter frozen
1 tsp sugar (optional)
3/4 cup buttermilk
Fried Chicken
3 lb chicken legs/ thighs
buttermilk
spice blend: 1/4 tsp msg. 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tbsp roasted garlic and herb seasoning, 1/2 tbsp poultry magic, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp pepper
1/4 cup hot sauce
3 cups self rising flour
1 tbsp chicken bouillon
garlic powder
pepper
Henny bbq Sauce
1/2 cup Henny
1 cup bbq sauce
1 tbsp Maggi seasoning or soy sauce
1 tbsp honey (optional)
Smothered Green Beans
1 1/2 - 2 lb green beans
3 medium poatoes
4 cups chicken broth
creole seasoning to taste
salt/ pepper to taste
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp garlic powder
3/4 lb bacon
1/2 onion
3 cloves garlic minced
1 1/2 tbsp flour
Chocolate Cake
2 cups DARK chocolate chips ( should be a good brand like Ghirardelli for best flavor)
1 cup boiling coffee ( i made mine with instant coffee)
1/4 cup sour cream
1/2 cup vegetable oil (do not sub butter, was added off camera)
1/2 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup sugar
4 eggs
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp almond extract
2 cups flour ( sifted and measured properly)
1 tsp baking powder
1tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
Chocolate buttercream
2 sticks butter + 3 tbsp butter ( unsalted, softened room temp)
pinch salt
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp almond extract
3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
3/4 cocoa powder
2 tbsp heavy cream (optional, I just added it to test out the flavor in this recipe)
2-4 tbsp milk ( start with 2 tbsp, then add more if needed)
Bake 350 for 25-30 min until toothpick inserted comes out clean. DO NOT OVER BAKE. Overbaked cakes run the risk of turning out dry. If this happens brush cake with a simple syrup to try to save it. Ask me how I know hahaha!!!
