My favorite are when i go on super long "fusion adventures" as i call them in persona and smt where i just fuse everything i can for as long as i can. I didn't leave memetos for 14 hours straight once.
Just don’t fuse on half moon. When you do that, it dramatically increases the chance of error. It’s like a SUPER small chance of it failing if it’s NOT a half moon.
I remember when I got a BS Metatron in SMT IV after an accident. He was like +40 levels above my MC and had stupid skills by the time I did the fusion. He carried me over most of the game lol Not sure if that kinda (good) accidents can happen in Nocturne too.
@@chiefbawor_thegr8966 I wish I could make them occur more often just for fun, but idk how. Curse myself maybe, but how? I'm pretty happy with some of my demons. Harlot, Red, Blk and Pale Rider, Rangda, Albion, Nyx are some of the good ones I have atm. Fiends are great ofc. But the only cursed fusion I got once was an unneeded Sati.
@@Theeosees Some game has a way to increaae the chance of Fusion Accident (usually done when in Full Moon Phase, but other than that, the criteria is different from games to games and moat of them are unknown to me). In IV/IV Apocalypse, you can increase your chance of fusion accident by putting your Player Character into sick status and fusing two dead demons with oje of them being of the Foul race to increase your chance further. In IV Apocalypse however, you didn't need to fuse two dead demons since getting two demons who has the Sick status ailment to fuse will increase your chance of fusion accident, moreso if one of them is, again, of the Foul race. Some games even have some Race of demons/Arcana of Persona that can only be created through fusion accidents, such as the Fool Arcana in Persona 1, the Famed race in the aforementioned SMT IV and IV Apocalypse, and Strange Journey has Zealot race. However in Strange Journey, there is an app that can make all of your fusion become Fusion Accidents
I remember trying to fuse odin (forgot what demons I used) but an accident happened and I ended up getting SHIVA of all demons. I still do not have Barong nor rangda in my compendium
You don't need Barong, I definitely am level 78 and was messing around with Rang and saw a possible Shiva fusion. I just can't for the life of me what the other demon was.... But it was below 70 for sure
@@Theeosees cap Shiva is always only obtainable from rangda and barong unlesss its diffrent in some obscure smt entries. But in each aminline and most known spinoffs if shiva is there the only way to get him is rangda and barong or accident
@@gren_3352 I haven't played the game in so long now but I'm pretty sure it was a female middle eastern mythology inspired demon lvl 90+. You're right though it must have been a different one because I never acquired Shiva after that trying to blend them. I'd recommend people to absolutely fuse Barong when they can around level 60 because I didn't and he's useful later on for unique fusions. I really utilized the fiends like Mother Harlot and Red Rider (he starts low but that terrorblade and resistance makes him one of the top riders) and of course Trumpeter is insane later on. Then once I got to my 80s I was able to get the angels and easier fusions like Mithra and stuff. So yeah I really don't know that much about Barong fusions.
@@Theeosees barong and rangda are both easy to fuse. The problem is that if you didnt do that early and your demons are higher level they will no longer come up in fusion abd you most likely wont remember what to fuse to get them. Shiva being fused from rangda and barong is a thing constant in series and It wont change I think. You probbably just missremembered something and thats okay too. Maybe it was vishnu and not shiva? They look pretty simmilar
@@gren_3352 that's the one, I'm pretty sure it was Vishnu. I actually was at the end and yes, it's not worth fusing lvl. 60 Barong if you don't have extra room at level 80 or so in the Tower of Kagatsuchi (or whatever it's called). I "beat the game" on ps2, but the final Kagatsuchi boss is basically excluded on original ps2 version. That's why collecting classics has a downside, og value but it's basically release version no updates/patches available and SMTIII had one very disappointing ending. Mother Harlot is a great addition to any team btw & the best demon across any of the many games I've playd this far though, fiends forever!
guys i kid you all, I was trying to fill up my comp with demons i missed, i was in tower of kagutsuchi. i tried to make a slime and boom. i got rapheal with skills like agi and dia 💀
Oh wow, I didn't know this game would show you what demon you're supposed to get *then* give you fusion accident. Thats extra salt in the wound, I'd be so fucking pissed.
At least _Persona 5 Strikers_ gives compensation for the trouble (by boosting the resulting Persona to the protag's level and giving it a large boost in Accumulated Power that results in greater stat increases). _Royal_ does as well, but only during alarms...

I tend to like downgraded demons in fusion accidents. It lets me get away with using earlier game demons with endgame skills, especially in Nocturne with its sacrificial fusion.
Yeah, it's cool to have some lower-ranked demons with high-level skills. I wish there was an easier way to manipulate accidents and trick the game into giving you specific things you'd like. :p

Sometimes I think these fusion accidents shouldn't be a thing. I mean, if the fix for that is just to load your game then what's the point? Does it actually add something to the game? I guess it makes sense when happy accidents happen, but if there's no real drawback for unhappy ones I don't really see the point (apart from the lulz I guess^^).
@GrandpaTheobald lol, don't give me _too_ much credit, now, hahah. I save scum like the best of 'em, but I think it's usually faster to just fuse again. I can't remember if I reloaded on this one in this video, but I probably did, since that was a triad fusion of stronger demons. :p
It's pretty annoying sometimes, I've gotten a couple Slimes and a Zhen once and that killed the mood. But I think Fusion Accidents naturally fit great for the personalization aspect of the monster collecting genre. I had no attachment to Belphegor or Queen Mab but thanks to a FA I grew a moderate affection for them.
