This sounds like something you would hear if Shoji Meguro composed the tracks for SMT IV and the game had a moment showing how Tokyo was before the disasters that led to what SMT IV is, like Nocturne did in the beginning of the game.
It still feels Melancholic in this version, but its a different kind. It feels like a nostalgiac kind of Melancholic. Like a wanting for the Tokyo that once was...
There's a good reason for that!!! This was arranged by Meguro, who composed P5's soundtrack. He didn't contribute to SMT 4 but has gone on record saying the original version of his track is his favourite Megaten track which is cool!
@@kieranray5340 Meguro is such a good dude. He literally felt like Ryota Kozuka was being overlooked. And to be honest he was badly overlooked. All the Top tracks were Persona and I think ultimately it was just the SMT IV soundtrack being overlooked. Which is a Shame because it is Perfect imo.
@@HoudiniFontmeister yeah it’s a shame in my opinion because regardless of musical preference I think SMT IV creates a more palpable atmosphere than persona ever does. Not saying persona music is bad, it’s just kinda limited

Schizoid ramble, the hunter assoc was mostly just there, they're mercs for hire, not a full blown faction in itself fighting over part of/all of Tokyo. In Apocalypse yeah kinda ig at some point they were all at each other's throats but not here in OG IV.
Rather than the magical and even a little forlorn (perpetual) nighttime cityscape the original track was all about, this sounds more like a daytime walk through Tokyo. Nice arrange.
I don't know if it's because I've played SMT IV, if it's because I'm alone in the night doing my homework or because of deh Meguro Magic but even with this calm and restful tone I sense the tragic tone from the original ost is still there
I still feel a little bit of the bleakness there but Shoji traded most of that out for chill vibes. Not that I'm complaining though, this is a good version for casual listening.
It reminds me of discovering just how big the world around me is; a wonderful place in which it can be so easy to get lost, but so rewarding to find your way around and learn the landscape of the new world.

Jazz, groovy severim ama orijinaliyle alakası olmayan ve özellikle SMT müziğinin remixini yapıyorsan Persona ile bu kadar benzer olmasını yadırgadım sadece. Sonuçta hem hikaye, hem müzik olarak çok farklı iki seri.
