This is kinda like that one fanfiction, if you squint and turn your head a little. Good job on the challenge. You're an inspiration to all us regular highschool experience havers.
@@ParakeetDSi It's a oneshot set in the Canon of Vengeance, where after Aogami's death it diverges from canon by having the battle between Yuzuru and Ichiro end in Yuzuru's favour. Since Yuzuru didn't die, Tsukuyomi never fused with the protagonist, and since the protagonist is no longer a Nahobino, everyone tells him to fuck off back to being a normal guy. He refuses, and so the story continues from there.
I have several themed limited-Demon run ideas: -Furry Vengeance: Only Avatar, Beast, and Holy demons, plus any others that visually resemble furry animals (possibly including most Wilder demons as well as Wargod Neko Shogun). -Vengeance Most Fowl: Only Avian, Foul, and Raptor demons, plus maybe Haunts? I've also been considering an actual challenge that might not be so sanity-friendly: No Leyline Founts (outside of the forced interactions, during which the only permissible action is to leave ASAP). This means: -No Leyline Crossing (outside of Terminals or other plot-mandated uses if needed). -No Cadaver's Hollow (relics are useless, money is scarce, and items are more scarce). -No World of Shadows (no Demon Fusion, no Essence Fusion, no Miracles). -No Demon Haunts (sorry, not even for the flavor text). -No Recovery (HP can be recovered as normal, but: dead demons cannot be revived--unless Yoko is present--until Recarm or better is available, and MP can only be recovered with items and skilks)skills. -No DLC (either new or legacy)?
and so the concept of a dds no demons run got perfectly translated to smt v dds no demons = no active skills since all active skills are only usable while in demon form
I wasn’t looking when you named the protagonist, and since I don’t know much about SMT V besides half the the original I played, I genuinely believed his canon name was “Young” until I heard you drop the full government name.
Young man on is way to beat the shit out of Sahori's Bullys (he's high af and thinks he is killing demons and reaching the throne of god to create a new world):
It was actually somewhere in the mid 30s for hours. I played vanilla SMTV 4 times when it came out and completed Vengeance twice before this run. So I mostly knew what I was doing, it was just finding the patience to sit through long battles and figure out how to salvage them. Most battles only took one or two attempts since I always came in prepared with notes (though my notes only told me enemy weaknesses and skills, any attack patterns I learned were from sitting in battles for 20+ minutes).
