1 frame links all across the board, at six reps the damage hits single digits, and it takes long, that's the only reason worth using it. if you land it early and you know you'll have the damage lead eventually before the timer runs out, then you're good to run it the rest of the match. also it only works with a small portion of the cast. It's a pocket trick, but it hurts psychologically for sure.
Against guile its a 2 frame link because I know for a fact that against guile you can link s.HK after the meaty last hit of light MGB and s.HK is 4 frames and c.LP is 3. So this infinate is much easier vs guile
CheckpointPlay it's because guile leans back more than most when he gets hit. The last hit of light MGB is 4 frames active (and is plus 2 on hit normally) so with most character that the infinite works on they lean into the last hit on the 2nd active frame (which makes it plus 3 so it's a 1 frame link into c.LP) but guile leans back more than most so he leans into on the 3rd which makes it plus 4.
First and third hit of Light MGB must connect at the right distance from guile which is the maximum range of dudleys crouching jab this then infinites into itself and is a negative edge one frame link for each rep You can combo into the infinite by forcing this space using dudleys incredible links Example: F Mk > St Lp > St Mk xx Hk > st. lp > cr. mp > LMGB > Cr Lp LMGB This must be perfect and nothing can be left to chance, its simply incredible that he was able to do this on command -sincerely, a dudley main who found smugs secrets long after it no longer mattered
Furthermore, since it is +3 and roundhouse is 4 frames, you MUST plink roundhouse in order to make it link and its a 1 frame link even with Plinking, so there can be no escape from the required execution
dudley is overall the most broken character in usf4. the things he does can only be compared to marvel. overhead into full combos, juggles for days and now infinites. capcom really man really
yomannnnn5 I was actually impressed at the fact that he was able pulled it off from the very start of the match. He's still fantastic and probably one of the best Dudley players ive ever seen.
I didn't even want to answer such a stupid comment but i will. It's freaking hard to do it, and since the damage scales like crazy in sf4, by the time you take 1/3 of his health you will drop the combo 100%
Giango IV now, see, i didn't know that. All i know is every time i see one of these, i cringe. I've lost whole matches in MVC3 because of bullshit like this. ...and i liked how you called my question stupid. Thank you for being inconsiderate. 😒
esmooth919 you should also remember that there's a thing called hit stun. If hits are landed properly(or in some cases, improperly), your opponent will be still recovering from the stun in which you can follow up with a 1-frame link. It's a precise thing to do, so it's difficult. Marvel on the other hand is different. Infinites, like Dr. Doom/Nova/etc., are bugs in the system where the opponent is stuck in a different state of airborne hit stun due to a TAC. That allows most characters to do their infinites with ease and with near insignificant hit stun decay.
Being an infinite doesn't mean it has to deal massive damage. It just has to keep going until something makes it drop or end (time out or dead char). Plus, 1 hp damage is still damage.
Youngman141 well if it keeps doing damage I can understand that. I just figured that the damage would eventually stop due to scaling but I'm not a SF expert
The damage scaling never makes a combo go down to zero, just to a point per hit. Same in every fighter (I play DBZ Budokai 3 and Marvel as well, and that's just a universal rule). Hoped you learned a little something ^^
Youngman141 I see. It just looks like you're doing no damage... I can see it being useful because of the push back and damage at the beginning. It definitely ain't on the same level as MVC or TVC infinites. Those are just stupid ridiculous
