Japan has some really delicious snacks, also I love the kitcats from Japan.. Over all Japan has some of the best video in the world, plus in Japan restaurants are so clean, and candy stores are clean as well.
I didn't notice until moving to Japan, have many people in the U.S. wipe their fingers on there clothes after eating snacks like Doritos and Cheetos? Yes Sun Chips from Subway, growing up in Florida that was a staple.
It is nice that you are so very excited. Well most of what you shown is neither in Norway. But we have cheese. Even one that has hair on it, and it named gammel ost (old cheese). I warms we very much that you are so happy and excited. You are so pleased and love to eat it. I think it brings back good memories. Oreo and Ritz we have only one version in Norway too. Still we have other products that's have different flavours. From Sweden we got OWL's doodles that look very similar to Cheetos puffs. We call it ostepop (cheese popps). Had to stop eating it, since everytime I ate it with soda. I was eating it to much I was in pain for several hours afterwards. Just to mention that you can get mustard that are spicy as wasabi. Not seen Cheez-it, but usually we have cheese on the cracker. What type of cheese is up the to the eater. Some can be hard to eat. Like swedish 'gammel Ole' (old nick). To describe the flavour is like this. First, you have some well used wet socks you have weared for several days. Then wrap the sock around the cheese, place it is one airtight with some extra water. Place it in a warm place, like behind the heather, for at least two weeks. So it could marinate in the 'flavour'. I found one japanese snack with cheese, but it is fish, almond and cheese. Strange combination.
Great, fun video! I think I've heard that many people in Asia are lactose intolerant.... but that might just be some urban myth? But if it's true that could help to explain the lack of cheese.
Amazing Japan does not have Skittles. If there is a Japanese Dentist Association, they should get on top of that asap. Lol. Thanks for another interesting video!
I was already feeling homesick with today's Sunset and now this video makes me want to cry 😢 too. As much as there are generic Oreo's and even Frito lays Cheetos here in Japan the aji or flavor is definitely not the same. They have crunchy but the color is not that bright Cheetos finger red orange that we are used to. Japan cheese flavor is sweeter and weirder. Our real Cheetos are salter and maybe it's the msg or something else that is missing in it. Don't be tricked by the Export labeling they put on the packaging in Japan sadly it's still the crappy flavor. But I get so desperate and I still buy them and try to trick my brain into thinking it's the same. Cheez it is the bomb and when I ask for omiyage it's the white cheddar cheez its. The generic cheese crackers found in small packages in the drinking snack sections of stores here are expensive for just 50 grams. There is not enough time to or space to write all of the snacks that I miss especially adding in my Hawaii snacks. My mom just spent $72 dollar just on the shipping for stuff including snacks valued less than 100 dollars.
Hi Chika! Awesome vid! I have a job question. I just saw a job in Kobe (US Gov't position). The non-supervisory position is mostly telework w/25% international travel. The pay band 66K to 83K per year. My question is: is this pay legit or will I be scraping and using coupons? I'm solo and I'm not a materialist. I would rent a 1 bedroom and most cook. Chika. Do you have to get reentry form before you moved to Japan? Some people said i dont need it. I have my other lives in Japan but i am American Japanese.. Thinkg of moving back there but i am nervious about it. Have notgone back for 11years so..
