Snake Hook and Snake Tong Review! WHICH IS THE BEST? WORTH IT? 

I use the collapsible hooks to shut off light switches when I'm laying in bed

I use an 18” hook like you do. I also use a 36”-48” hook to grab a loop of snake to pull closer to the front of the enclosure so I can get a hand on it.

I only have a long one for outside and it's very heavy duty and can be used to flip logs, climb rough terrain etc has a triangular hook so you have this flat edge you can press against and a flattened pointed tip for splitting rotten logs, etc. Specifically made for field biology and was sold as a snake *stick. Never seen them since it was a requirement for my class work in college.

I don't have nearly all the reptiles that you have, I've got 5 ball pythons, 3 normals and 2 morphs 1 is a super pastel, the other is a pied, 5 is the limit. I watch videos all the time and I've never seen someone's collection (yours)as well set up as yours, your racks and tubs are all neat and orderly and I'll be willing to bet your tubs are as clean! I hate watching feeding videos the guy opens the enclosure to feed, and their tubs are absolutely filthy. The only equipment I have and need are 18" feeding tongs and a snack hook only piece of equipment I need is a snack rack for my pythons. But that will happen in its own time. I use 15 inch aquarium tongs for my small rat and smaller feeding. For my collosal rat i use a 36 grabber they do ok though i wanna keep out of strike range. Though smaller snakes grab bare handed now lol. Though i do have a 36 inch hook for my 10-14 ft retics. They don't wanna come out for cleaning or outside enrichment.

I think for venomous snake keepers, snake hooks are totally essential to keep distance to the snakes and to carry them from a to b. The wide ones good for heavy rattlesnakes or puff adders. The small ones for Trimeresurus, or other small pit vipers or palm vipers and juvenile snakes.

Hate that I’m putting this out there but this is Jason’s comment section we all can be honest here 😂👍🏾 I bought those Bigger snake grabbing tool I thought it would benefit me because I’m disabled now especially with missing a leg and broken left arm I’m limited to body parts . Well once got them I used them on my finger the one I can’t feel so much well I’ll tell you what my nerves were working that day those Amazon ones should only be used for feeding tongs if used at all glad I never used on a snake . I barely use snake hooks now I grab the closest thing to me to shut off food response. I been in the game for a while but I always like refreshing my memory with your videos don’t stop I repeat don’t stop making content brother !! What I want to see next is getting your family getting involved in a video of snake handling maybe with your wife hahaha ?

I use tongs to feed my snakes. I would like to have forceps for more control of larger prey for larger snakes. Can anyone suggest a brand to use to feed a male Burmese Python? He is putting on size and I want to be prepared for when he reaches 10 feet or more.

Where does stuff go when you put it down??? If i don't have 5 of everything i can't find even 1.
