Can you do a video on what the patient need to do to care for a snap on denture. Such as do you soak overnight or not. Can you use a tablet to soak. Can you soak in plain water overnight. Is Dr.Bs cleanadent crystals safe to soak your denture it. The importance of keeping the implant posts clean. What type of paste to use on your denture. These are questions I have after getting a lower snap in. A lot of dentists don't give out that important info and they leave us patients with a lot of questions.
What happened to magnetic implants? It seems to me they would take care of a few of the "problems" with "snap-ons" - no moving parts means nothing to wear out, also fewer places for food bits to get stuck ...
I'm a dental tech. for 49 years. The information you gave is right on.We do alot of over dentures and when the implants are not parallel it is very challenging to make the new dentures work.Maybe you can do a video on how to place implants so they are parallel.
Yes, it does. I’m a new snap on wearer, new to dentures. Food does get stuck in and around the denture. I try to get to a private sink ASAP to rinse out my mouth. It’s gross, but it beats going without lower teeth, which I did for 6 months.
My dentist explained to me before I even went with the snap in dentures is they will never be tight and snug up against the gums. They rock a bit even though they are pretty secure. With that being said, getting food under them occurred after every meal. Kind of sucks and sometimes hurt like hell. So what I ended up doing is using powder adhesives anyway with my snap ins. You just have to make sure the power does not get in the little holes when you apply it. Works like a charm and powder are not messy at all.
I got two snap in implants for the bottom and two for the top.... Costs roughly 3K per implant so about 12K. Luckily, my dentist was taking his certification and needed a "guinea pig", lol. Only cost me the price of the hardware, about $2400.
My dentist want: me get Hybird Snap on dentures threw implant/ titanium post do t$3 patient can remove them or can they leave them in and sleep ei5h them
