Would you be interested in a longer, more in depth video going almost every tool? With enough likes and replies on this comment I will consider recording that for you guys!
Nah bro all of us mechanics don’t make anything worth what we actually do at the dealerships haha idk how my colleagues afford tools like this with a family I like to think it’s because they been doing it for a while
@@DiamondTribedef stick with range rover and jag. Moving from Mercedes in a couple weeks due to the number of techs we currently have (42) and going to jag we have 7 including me and they all make 150+ on average.
I love that you take pride and keep your tools clean. I clean all of my tools regularly and keep everything immaculate, as you do. You are protecting your investment.
@@Kudapex bro if I ever see a mechanic that has tools that clean I would never second guess any work they did to my car. I’m the same way with my toolbox. Everything is as clean as can be and oiled. You are appreciated by people you don’t even know. Forget the guys that say otherwise.
You have a really cool box there its set really looks great! I'm a small engine tech i have the snap on masters 72'' box and i love it that is great as well. Thanks man!
That's a GORGEOUS toolbox. Having something that nice in a mechanic shop would give me anxiety, leaving it unattended over night and over the weekend would keep me awake at night! I'd probably want to sleep next to it for the first few weeks! 😂
Awesome video, man! Its cool to see how other techs have their stuff laid out. Ive got the same box as you in white with teal trim and a slide split top roll cart, both are full. Just ordered a locker for my 84, so hopefully i can clear up some space. You can definitely take up room working on trash trucks like i do lol.
Setup up is clean! Just upgraded my Milwaukee box to the Snap on epiq 68 candy apple with black trim with power drawer and speeddrawer! It’s a game changer! Also got the hutch and led bedliner power top on Order for it too! Can’t wait!
This is the only toolbox tour I have seen that is up to my ridiculously high standards. Good on you bro. Very similar to mine but mines storm gray and black.
2 weeks ago I got my epiq 84 in as well and love it. Need to go thru and organize a little better, kinda just offloaded my work truck into the box and got to work so haven’t had much time to go in and organize it the best.
@@Kudapex I know what you mean. I’m just going to take it day by day and organize as I go. Already have the 3 top drawers organized just need to get a few rails to get the odd sockets together. Wrenches I’ve got tool box widget for them and it’s cleaned up.
I have a wicked snap on addiction but I just can’t see pulling the trigger on the condo box from them . I agree with him on the cordless ratchets just buy the long neck ones . I have 3 of each cordless tool they make and I rarely touch the short 3/8 .
Those pliers with the white grip are IPS pliers. They are a Japanese tool company they make some great pliers. Tsundoa is another great Japanese plier company. Cost effective and just as good as snappy
Nice box, I have one like your, the only different is mine is black and all the long drawer is one big long one , 2 bank not 3 bank like your. Mine top drawer has socket rack, I just have too many too tools, so it's packed full with no cases inside.
I’ve been a mechanic for over 40yrs. I’m also a Snap-On fan boy! I bet you get the haters telling you that you got ripped off by buying Snap-On? These are the same guys that get into a 100K+ pick-up truck at the end of the day. My tool box starts with a Mac 1700/w side box that I bought new in 1987. Then I needed more room. I would have loved to move up to a beautiful Snap-On box like yours. I had to make a choice? Do I want a super nice box that would live its life 1/4 full or an overseas box that is 85% full. I ended up getting a eXtreem tools box. I got the biggest set they had. 72in top and bottom. I need a stool to get to the highest drawers. Your tools and box are amazing. Just don’t put yourself in to much dept. To say I’m jealous is an understatement! What is the depth measurement on that box? One draw you pulled out looked to be deeper than it is wide?
Definitely go red since it’s what they usually have in stock lol. The air hammer hasn’t let me down yet. Always glad I got it. I believe it’s the second most powerful on the market just under the Astro. But the Astro is really big.
all i can say is wow, that thing is beautiful. Plan on trading up to an 84 arctic silver with purple once my time runs out for full value trade in on my SEP box
I’m a bit of a sucker for having all the same brand. Almost a part OCD thing. Not a financially good idea in this case lol. But if someone makes something clearly better, I’ll always buy it instead. Snap-on is also the only truck that comes by our shop. (We don’t see many more brands in Canada).
Nice love the color love the set up my only question and it’s personal but I’m asking with good intentions … What the hutch run you on top of the box I bought my 68” epiq for 9k and the thing holding me back is the extra several thousand to buy the hutch. Paying 50 a week for my box was too low so I upped it to 100/wk but by doing so can’t afford the hutch/work center because it’s so much debt via snap on as I was told by my rep
I actually purchased the entire box together when the Rock n Roll truck came by. They tend to offer the best deals. I got a discount on the box and locker, and they threw the workcenter in for free. I borrowed from the bank to avoid Snap-ons crazy interest rates. Might be something worth looking into. I used Snap on credit to get the deal and rebates, then paid it off immediately with money from the bank. Owing the bank is much more flexible.
Awesome setup mate That’s my dream box in the exact colour I’d choose Unfortunately being a mobile mechanic with only a very small garage at home that thing would take up too much room And most of my tools are in my truck box
I would hate to know how much everything cost you, a lot of people can't afford Snap-On so they go for some lesser brands but I would love a set of Snap-On sockets at least. If I wrenched every day for a job I would most likely be in debt with Snap-On. Thanks for sharing, this tool box was freaking great!! I am currently in a 5 draw tool cart right now but looking to upgrade to a full size tool box at some point in my life.
Thanks! 106FLIPSET is the part number from Snap-on for a whole kit. I just bought the 8/10mm. Just make sure if you get them, you get the extensions too because they’re extra thin. A standard extension won’t fit inside the sockets.
I call it Jesus he said 😂 A+ setup for us Bavarian boys. All boxes checked. Hazel 17mm lug socket for wheels, lisle lug pilots and koken nut huggers for battery installs would be my only add ons.
It’s one of these but I cut the 4 section apart and put them in the bottom of the can holders: shop.snapon.com/product/Flexible-Magnetic-Tool-Storage-Accessories/Flexible-Magnetic-Mat-(Red)/FLEXMAT
It's so pretty. I simply adore boutique man caves! Are you really going to buy jewel encrusted BBQ skewers for that Snap On gas grill you ordered to accessorize your salon--- err--- garage?
On the locker light what you end up doing I just got mine for my locker it’s the same bs. There only one light option for the locker ? Magnet has to be on the switch to be on. lol Beautiful box btw mine is the same except black with gloss black trim
Hello you say you come From a classic 78 was it just a cab or stack ? to this and you still have loads of space even coming from me haha. My 78 stack is full and want to go to just a roll cab but concerned wouldn’t be big enough and don’t want to go hutch and locker etc Thanks
It was just a box, no stack. My 78 was literally overflowing onto the top. The Epiq box alone holds waaaay more. I don’t expect to fill it any time soon.
@@Kudapex ok, I just noticed that they didnt skip any sizes and my sunex socket sets dont either. Couldnt find any holders with numbers on them that did the same.
