I always ask people if they would feed their kids with dirty dishes. When they say no, I tell them that these tools are how I feed my family. If you don't clean them when you're done you won't ever use them again.

There isn't much worse, than grabbing a tool out of a toolbox that already has grease on it. Tools is a big investment and I try my best to keep them clean and protected

I agree 100% with Clay. I also clean my tools before they go back in my box. No need for a person's toolbox to look like a mess. Takes a couple of seconds to clean the tools.

I am sitting laughing as I watch this today. Most of my cordless tools are Milwaukee and those are expensive enough. Anyways my wife asked to borrow my drill today, she was doing some yard work. I just happen to walk into the front yard and I see my wife looking at my drill and then at a nail. She just started to lift the drill up and I yelled don't even think about it. I told her where my hammers were.

Talk about Picky I also have a long head ratchet and if I’m gonna put it in a real tight spaces or it might get banged around and scratched I wrapped the head of it in COFLEX it keeps it clean and stop it from getting scratched up, and you can keep reusing it it sticks to itself🇺🇸

I love the long neck, the short head brute is exactly what it says-that thing fucking gets it. The long neck is just so accessible to everything I need and breaks everything loose. The brute is hands down stronger but I love the faster speed of every other one!

I don't like my tools returned dirty and greasy too.If I borrow a tool that is clean,I return it clean wiping it off.Some customers don't tell the truth too how they break the tool right away

I'm with you on keeping the tools clean. I even have a 10w30 dampened rag in a zip lock that i wipe down my impact sockets with after use. My tools are much cleaner than my truck. That tells me i'm not a complete compulsive nut job.

Been on the truck (roll cab Snapon truck), almost walked off with a classic 78 toolbox bill... until I realized the price would’ve been $9000 after interest and tax... yeah no. No classic 78 should be over 2k

If you clean your tools after each job then you know nothing is missing and they will last longer. I have realized things were missing before I lost them because I clean up after each job

I do a "reset" on my tools at least a couple times a day. The tools I use get wiped off or cleaned before they go back in the box. Period. We spend thousands of dollars on tools just to put them away dirty.

UPS IS A JOKE. after the 3rd day with my package saying out for delivery, i happened to catch the UPS man skipping my house and stopping next door, i ask him "hey you got a package for me?" he says he does so he drives back to my house, he then looks in the back and says he cant find it, so i press the matter and he happens to magically find it. He says that his colleagues left it everyday for the next guy and he was about to do the same, not admitting to it but obviously. The package weighed 120lbs but cmon UPS man, you have literally one job. After sitting all that time in there, the box was beat to shreds but thankfully it was not fragile.

I dont mind tool truck guys but im in the restoration business and outside of general hand tool I use special sheet metal forming equipment and tools. Every once in a great while a truck will stop buy. They never come back more then a time or two bc sales are very low here because we are a bunch of established restoration guys who really dont have the need for a tool truck like normal shops do. But i definitely liked browsing the truck when we get good salesman. I usually always buy something new or off the trade in rack.

Koon Trucking I was at my local NAPA the other day and saw they have the Go-Jo version on the shelf next to the Tub-O’-Towels in a large canister as well. I don’t see myself buying them unless the Tub-O’-Towels are sold out and I need something.

I’m a fan of Tub ‘O Towels. They work... Period. They leave no residue. Clean tools better than anything ever and they are very cost effective (one towel can clean a whole pile of tools)

I bought the regular length brute during Snap-on's month long Father Day's promo sale. $30 off regular price (tool only, red color only). I figure the long neck isn't going to go on promo anytime soon, at least not this year, so might as well pick up the regular length Brute while there is a promo on it. I have the long neck regular 3/8" and 1/4" so the regular length Brute will compliment the other two.

Sounds like every major trucking carrier, everything has to be approved or no pay. Some won’t pay for a 7$ valve stem on a 500 steer tire. Oh you put that new 4.99 bolt kit on with that new mud flap nah we don’t pay for those. God forbid that 4.99 bolt kits gonna kill the profits.

I have a really good Snap on and Mac tool dealers and a young lady that was selling Cornwell tools. Text or call after hours about a tool or question and they all would return contact with me. If you have any extra toolboxes you don't need I could fill them for you. Mine are full and using 2 1/2 shelves on a cabinet a young man built to store the rest. Needless to say the younger guys like working with a tool nut ( I mean collector) LOL

It does not have 70ft if torque no where near it. I was disappointed I had to return it. My old snap on Electric ratchet has more power then this. When I first got it I expected to be as powerful as the snap on air ratchet which has 70ft of torque. That electric ratchet doesn’t have 70ft of torque and u can tested out your self. I can torque a nut to 50lbs and my old snap on electric ratchet can remove it. The brute is a very misleading

In reference to the company that had to OK all repairs. I worked for a company one time that refused to spend any money on repairs if they didn't have to. They told us to only fix things that would cause a stoppage of the equipment or is a safety hazard. They refused to let us do PM's on equipment. They even tried to convince us the oil they provided to us does not break down so there would be no need to do oil changes on the trucks.

That’s nuts. This was a wiring harness issue that wouldn’t even allow the truck to start. Once we finally got approval and the parts hand we had it fixed in a few hours. They wasted pretty much a full day of down time to get approval

I just ordered the long neck 3/8 non brute. Did I make a mistake? Should I have went brute? I mainly do alignments and front end repairs. I figure you would know..

The brute is stronger but it is slower. The regular long neck is fast. You can break things loose with it in manual and use it to spin them off fast. Just depends. I got mine for hard to reach spots and can just press the button

I need to find one of them there shops that supply the tools....but the thing different people would show different respects....respect the tool like it is your tool and the boss will prosper and take care of you.....in otherwords treat your company with respect and he will take you under his wing and you will live a good life.... isent that close to the golden rule in the bible..... what comes around goes around

Our shop supplies tools (I'm a fleet mechanic) all the tools are old chrome craftsman from way back when. I got tired of them and bought my own stuff now everyone wants to try and borrow my stuff. When you don't supply the tools then you get paid less.

My pet peeve with the snap on dealer is “hey I need a 1/4 ratchet can you get me one” four weeks later you got that ratchet nope two weeks later hey you got that ratchet. Nope. Order it from online here in three days. Never heard from the dealer.

Had mine a few months it definitely takes some getting used to. Nice to have the extra power. Especially when using swivel sockets from the torque u lose in the joint of the socket. Defiantly put some nice gouges in my hand when moving too fast and not thinking about it.

Let the dealer get pissed if you get pressured into buying a tool you used once and hate... Idc but all the dealers ive talked to they always sell you stupid stuff that doesnt work... If they can take a mint tool back and returning it for the money you were paying towards it... Thats my feeling on it

I don’t know that speed is nice on them ? Honestly if I only had 1 I would stick with the regular long neck. You can always break it loose manually then run it off with the speed. The brute is SLOW but strong.
