Yeah that is full blown retail. I paid $6000 cash for my new 68" Epiq off of my dealer's truck. No hutch just the box. I thought that was a good deal. Real happy with the Epiq.
Stick with your Harbor Freight (Icon?) toolbox and put your kids thru college. Gives your kids a good shot at a good future so that they don't have to turn wrenches to make a living and remember that in the end it is just a steel box holding your tools. You don't need to overpay for that... I used to sell tools for a living and basically you overpay for each and every brand out there if you know what a tool costs up until it arrives at the dealer for a tool brand. At the time I sold tools, a chrome 19mm socket would cost less than a dollar in materials, production, handling and shipping for the tool manufacturer/brand.
@@gregshearer423 I said: Give them a good shot at a good future. So that they have a choice in what they want to do. And if they still want to turn wrenches you tell them: If that's what you really want... Don't say I never warned you and never complain to me about your job! And I am not saying it's a terrible or even bad job. It's just a sort of positive stimulation to get them to aim and shoot high and get a better life than they would possibly have otherwise.
Awesome video Justin. I hopped on one of those rock and roll trucks earlier this year. Saw a teal with black trim epiq. Didn't even ask for the price because I didn't have the money then. I just bought a 68 epiq in teal with carbon fiber trim for $3,500 used and it looks brand spanking new! Such a badass box!!!
I have a Candy Red Epiq 84 with hutch for sale, not worth 1/3 what I paid...apparently. Spend your money on tools, not storage youngsters. The locker for mine was quoted at $5800. I bought a locking cabinet at Sams for $159 on sale.
I just bought a blue cart with the stainless top and chrome trim like the orange one showed in the beginning of the video yesterday. It is a beast of a cart!!
My old mechanic ass and brain are freaked out by calling a "tool box", a system. Nuts to me. Snap-On dude is going to need to up his shirt size soon. You're feeding him to much $$$ and he's getting fat!
Great video. I recently purchased a master series box I couldn’t see spending more on epic when capacity was similar. Well now wish I had epic. Maybe I could trade mmmm nah. Good looking boxes. Thanks for the videos.
i have a question for you do you do a lot of house projects an stuff as a dyi person or maybe people can't afford to pay someone do you but speciadl tools for ur house stuff also just like if bought a lot of stuff so I can do my own carpet with power stretcher an let it almost pay for it itself for job I need not have to pay someone an or also lay at other people's house more room for profit from my own tools
im confused, 19k? does it come with tools? Seems like its just steel metal, doesn't seem like the tool box alone would cost 19k to make. I'm not a tool person what am i missing?
They are so overpriced its so dumb 19k, that's a car. That's a down payment on an investment property these are a waste of money. And as a aspiring technician I love snapon tools but my other beginner friends are going out and financing this shit and it makes me sick
Blaze Box 19k buys you the box, power top and riser. I bought mine late last year for right at 10k, cash, dealer had it on his truck, bought it at a tool show at a discount, couldn’t move it, as most people didn’t have the credit line available. I was able to score 3 power lockers off the same dealer for right at 10k.
Richard Lannister you don’t never pay retail price for a toolbox and if you do you are silly. All toolboxes you buy you get deals...like trade ins...rebates...dealer even knocking 10 or 20 percent off. If all toolboxes were sold at full retail price nobody would buy them
cbsgirly2 I hear you, years ago I took tons of crap off coworkers who would tell me the box won’t make you any money. That may be true to an extent, but I need something big enough to hold all my tools, and they don’t sell that at Home Depot. I have maybe 10 years till I retire, so I bought an epiq, may as well have a box I want before I retire?
Good see snap on stopped to see you. When can see the local dealer stop by to see you and show his face on video. Jeremy haasl does and answers comment questions.
Lol, "speed drawer". Marketing wank..... This is nothing new, this is a common included option in all "Lista" cabinets and boxes. Lista is the go to for industrial mechanics and machine shops. Real boxes for half the price, but they don't say snapon....
All these crybabies in the comments. If you don’t like, don’t buy it. Go buy harbor freight or by used boxes. Most of us that use our tools to pay the bills know the value of a good toolbox.
Snap on also makes boxes for Aviation the are smaller and alot more expensive www.snapon.com/Aviation/Aviation-Tools/Tool-Control/Automated-Tool-Control.htm. Keeps track of tools so the don't end up in a plane that's In the air.
