If you think about it, technically he didn't fit. Snape was to be 30-37 at this time, while Alan Rickman was well into his 50s when these movies started filming. And yet everything from his voice, to his mannerisms, and look was so perfect in the way he performed the role it is impossible to disconnect the character from the man. Rickman made Snape his own. I'm sure these movies will be remade before too long, relatively speaking. Within 15 years or so, just with the way the movie industry is these days. Those will be difficult shoes to fill.
@@loudgoat5241 They will never fill Alan's shoes as Snape. Alan IS Snape. His character should be retired like they do in sports. If they want to make a movie with Snape as a boy and teen, then fine. Otherwise, alot of people will not watch another Snape. It will just make them love Alan's Snape all the more.
@@barbarazirger7732 In principle I absolutely agree, but practically I expect that with something as big as HP ended up being, they will seek out money to be made forever if possible. Right now they have the Fantastic Beasts series, and that should go another 5 years or so, but then what? I just would guess that by the nature of the movie industry they'll look for some sort of remake by 2035. And if so, let them not try to copy what we already have, since that would guaranteed be an imitation of lesser quality. Rather I'd hope they go back to the books and create from there something equally as magical in film for 2030s kids as the 2000s movies were for us.
The first thing Snape asks Harry is “Potter! What would I get if I added powdered root of asphodel to an infusion of wormwood?” According to Victorian Flower Language, asphodel is a type of lily meaning ‘My regrets follow you to the grave’ and wormwood means ‘absence’ and also typically symbolised bitter sorrow. If you combined that, it meant ‘I bitterly regret Lily’s death’
J.K Rowlling is completely genius. I believe that Choosing an actor to play Snape role wasn’t an easy thing at all. I mean the other characters could be taken by any actors/actresses easily but Snape is different “face, hair, voice, charisma, the way he walks, talks...etc”. Seriously, Allen Rickman was the perfect choice💔
JK Rowling didn't cast the movie's actors. She wrote the books and took credits for the movies because of that. But that was all her involvement in them.
Snape is known to be as one of the best duellers after dumbledore and Voldemort. So it’s quite genius the way he avoided confrontation and got rid of the carrows wands as well. Love him
Notice how packed the hall was on Rickman's last day - you don't go to a guy's farewell if you are lukewarm or hostile towards him. You only need to watch this small scene to know everything that's important about the man Rickman was.
Snape is of those characters who we hate at first but after some time we will fall in love with his character unconditionally and unknowingly 🥺🥺🥺. We miss you Professor Snape
I enjoy watching every scene Snape was in, even more than watching the 3 main characters, Alan Rickman was such a great actor and its a shame he died so early.
No one can ever play his role as professor Snape. He is the perfect actor and he became one with the character.. That's how great of an actor he is. ❤️
Did u know that Snape is actually redirecting McGonagalls spells at the death eaters so they don't harm anyone and he keeps his cover. He also takes the wands.
