Jesse and Mike travel to Mont Valin, Quebec on the hunt for snow and available trails! They land at Destination Mont Valin and head out on a 360 km ride towards Les Escoumins Relais for lunch and then back, with a stop at La Chapelle for some much needed fuel. Jesse ends up snapping a ski on his brand new sled with under 200 kms! Watch the video to find out what happened.

We were there 3 days before you, we rode off trail just before the rain storm. There was over 8 feet of snow off trail on December 16/17th. We had a blast there, Going back in Feb. Our video is coming soon!

We've been sledding since end Nov in Yellowknife. Snow depth isn't too deep but it's enough to get out and enjoy. The lakes are frozen but warmer than normal temps are making some spots have a lot of overflow.

If you want the full mont valin experience, end of febuary and march is the best time was there 2yrs ago and there was 14ft of snow on the mountain. Did 300km loop and buddys summit 154 never over heated

Yup we know! It was the only place to ride and it was so worth it. Trails were in great condition for the most part!

Pro Tip - Bring Gorilla Tape with you they make some wide stuff and 1 inch tape its black super strong . The one inch can be used in a emergency dressing for a bad cut too . cheers

Helmet is fantastic. Vibe communicator seems great but can't really test it as BRP removed inter-brand connectivity and we all run cardos. Can only connect the advex to other advex's or the last two models of sena communicators. Super unfortunate. Cheers, Jesse

Gotta love the rad+fan combo along with the heat exchanger for hard pack trails. The fan kicks in at 95 or 100C I think it is. Turned on a few times on my Expedition last season in spring.

Yes its nice my 2016 Yamaha Viper 4 Stroke has a fan lot can be learned from Yamaha 4 stroke technology they have been making 4 stroke engines a long time !! The recent Skio Doo 4 stroke are definitely impressive though lot of people are loving them !

There is a recall on the AC2 serial number left ski pilot. I replaced mine on my 2024 MXZ

You guys probably already know this but here it is anyway…. Ski-Doo broken ski update. Remove your left Pilot X ski and check for the AC- number under the rubber. If it says AC-2 this is the ski that may break. AC-1 skis are okay. Ski-Doo is working on getting more skis and some dealers may have AC-1 skis in stock. The skis will of course be warrantied.

Hey Gary. Yup we heard this two days ago. We aren't going to be releasing anything on it until an official bulletin is released. BRP only notified dealers to keep a look out. Cheers, Jesse

Thanks for posting gentleman! Just wondering if you would have placed a couple of small pieces of tree branch on each side of the ski then duct taped it if that would have helped? Anyway, you made it and all is good.

So i just discovered i have an ac-2 ski. My dealer says it will be awhile b4 they get a replacement ski. So i pay $16,000 for a sled just to look at it sit in my garage?

Yes it's an issue and you will need to replace with the recall. Try to find a used set to cover you or even switch to another type of ski. It sucks but it is what it is. Mike

Hey man. We do mention the trail numbers we are on.. You just gotta watch the whole video. Unfortunately we can't show photos for liability reasons. The trail we were on for example could be closed the next day due to a number of reasons and people watching the video may assume the trail is safe to ride when it may not be. What does the 900r run at for normal temps? I’ve heard a bit higher then the 850’s

Typically runs at around 74C / 165 F ... yes hotter than our 2 stroke 850s which is normal. Cheers Mike

Great video guys. Heading there next week. I see from your earlier sled build video how you "love" and cherish that 10.25 gauge... but again in this video it doesn't work. "We love our technology". Do you still love it even if it doesn't work and you have to plug in your phone to have GPS? Ski Doo is pretty awesome.... but some of their "technology" is a joke. The last couple gauges, their new hand/thumb warmer button/adjuster and that stupid control knob on the Mach Z. We need you podcasters to call them out when they screw up.

Hi there. The gauge is fantastic but if you follow our stuff, you'll hear us talk a lot about the Garmin being our Go-To because the BRP-GO app crashes constantly. This is nothing new. Everything else about the gauge is fantastic but the app simply doesn't work well when we have tried it compared to a Garmin. We've mentioned this many times in videos and posts. Literally everything else with the gauge is fine. Thanks, Mike

Wherever u put it in ontario. It doesn't matter. If your asking about the trail permit, I put it on my side panel same as my ofsc permit. Some guys put them on their windshield. Cheers, Jesse

Hi guys I snapped my left ski on mine last week first ride. My dealer gave me a new one , I was wondering were you thinking about replacing your skis with something different .im not sure if I trust the new one .

Hey Michael! Thanks for reaching out. No not at all. We have been using this ski on all 6 of our gen4/5s since 2021 and never had a single issue. There was obviously an issue with a round of plastic molding it seems like this season. Cheers, Jesse

No. All helmets have an RCA cord plug in, same as even the oxygen. The E-LinQ accessory provides an RCA plug to plug in any helmet. Even the oxygen cord has an rca at one end to plug in. Cheers, Jesse

Crazy about your ski… right after we talked to you at auberge at lunch my buddy snapped the exact same ski the exact same spot. New 2024 xrs at low speed. Something wrong with these skis?! lol

Those sleds are really good looking are the ride characteristics similar between the two seeing as they have different engines, or is that going to be an end of season review .
