In this video of Jake and Joel are Magic, Joel discusses the new, Commander (EDH) preconstructed deck, Sneak Attack, a deck that will be released alongside Zendikar Rising. These decks are well-tested and are good right out of the box, but what's great about Magic the Gathering, is it is a customizable card game. Joel discusses 10 cards that he would replace first, for under $20, that would make the deck better and more consistent without breaking the bank. Anowon the Ruin Theif is an excellent Rogue to be at the helm of your Commander deck, and the card works to Mill your opponents. Let's maximize Anowon's potential and replace sub-optimal cards to make this deck competitive! We are going to go over all of the updates/upgrades/revamps. Check out the video. I have tetsuko but took it out because it works against Anowon since he buffs while tetuko only works on 1/1s

Made mine a rogue ninja deck replaced anawan for sakashima, tevesh. Anawan went in the 99.

With the new set coming I was looking at adding a Vorpal Sword and Etrata. That way there are two additional win conditions. She is unblockable and the Vorpal sword equipment can make the target player lose the game. Do you think these are solid additions to this deck?

Interesting to see your edits versus mine. I love my Anowon deck, and a bit of a sleeper card I picked up is Guiltfeeder. It's not guaranteed to go off, but if it does, a player is basically getting knocked out for sure. Nice vid Joel!

Almost evry card you pulled and replaces i had, i put anowon in the 99 with sakashima/falthis as leads, sakashima clones the most ruthless rogues rather quickly and with oona"s blackguard in creature heavy tribal is insane. I ordered the full art anowon so the curl of the foil isnt an issue. Oppo, maralen, agent of T, mindlock orb are sweet, i added expedition C tar pit for fun instead of keyrune, all the unblockable rogues including blighted agent(when cloned and stinkdrinkdrinker out is infectious as hell.) This deck quickly became my most powerful and no nonsense deck of all my builds.

you just convinced me to swap out my copy of Consuming Aberation for Reflections of Littjara. dammit man lol! My build focuses on milling with rogue damage and artifacts to cast a late game Rise of the Dark Realms

Of all the fun I've had with Zareth in my Anowon deck, the one that actually swung the game is when he jumped in to take out the Oko that was holding down the game.

This seems like A random moment to upload this video? But don't get me wrong, I like/ enjoy videos that stand out of the typical timeline people are veggie wing stuff at. I just happen to not care about this deck for some reason. So far Obtain and both of the Kaldheim decks were the only Oregon's that sparked enough in me to purchase them. The Rogue creature type simply hasn't been a thing for me in any game I've played growing up, like ever? Yeah no, can't say I remember having Rogues as a favorite archetype anywhere tbh. I'm also NOT a huge Dimir guy. Out of 50+ decks right now I only have ONE dimir deck, (scarab god zombie deck) and its actually in the process of turning into an esper deck with the lich queen lady lol. Either way, great video per usual and breakdown of the deck. If something in the future ever strikes a chord with me to build rogues ill be revisiting all your old vids about them! 💎👏💎 Wither way,

Making this deck for my girlfriend... memory plunder and the card that makes power 1 unblockable are great suggestions thanks, thieves guild enforcer would be great in this deck too...another great expensive card for rogues is knowledge exploitation it's a prowl card which costs 4 Mana if you did damage with a rogue this turn it let's you search an opponents library and cast a instant or sorcery without paying it's mana cost?!?!
