Sorry, but the writers if they wanted TN approval, should of had him being a good father figure BEFORE she chose him...Of course the writers will write him being a good father figure now..It's too little to late.
@@sondraroark4028 Hey, I totally get where you're coming from... But the truth is that Lucas has very little experience with kids & yes he is not as comfortable with them as Nathan. But nobody is at first. I think that it is so exciting that we get to watch him grow into that role & make mistakes & learn.
@@sondraroark4028 Surely in real life there are many men who had no or little experience with children before they got married and are now amazing dad's that would do anything for their kids. And let's be honest Nathan wasn't the perfect knowing and understanding father type when he first joined the show either. He got a lot of lessons about how to be truly their for his neice from Elizabeth. Also there is no such thing as a perfect parent it's a learning curve for anyone.
Gonna enjoy Rosemary teasing and supporting Elizabeth. And Lucas will make a great father. He is a wonderful man and he has all the qualities to make one. Excited for Lucas and Elizabeth ❤️
@@salome4671 That's too bad you're missing out on a good person, and you just don't like him because Elizabeth has chosen him not the want a be look alike Jack Throton Nathan.
@@bhd7721 i hate chris so what will be your self your self quote to me? "TO be kind because i m juding chris because of what happened " Ha I know egocentric persons like him him can t even deal with some negative opionions about characters him its totally arrogant like Lucas i will not lose my time with someone like that The Only good Novice for me will be know When him died to be happy about not needing to see his face again on my life
I cant wait to see Lucas stepping up as a father figure role. I think he will be great when he gets into it because overall he is such a great guy and family appreciation. And know how much Elizabeth and Little Jack come as a package. And seeing his little moments with them two over the seasons.
Lucas will be a wonderful father. He knows what he lacked as a child and is naturally geared toward trying to make others happy. He is also a very responsible individual and will pass that along to his son(s) and possible future daughter(s). Can't wait to watch these beautiful relationships develop!
I think Lucas is going to be a wonderful father, not only to LJ but to future children. He has such a good heart and gentle manner and I look forward to seeing the father side of him.
Lucas will definitely be a good father. Elizabeth said it herself, she fell deeply for a man who is “patient, kind, thoughtful, adoring ... “ All the qualities she was looking for in a father for her son.
If Lucas didn't possess the qualities of a "Good father" I doubt that Elizabeth would have fallen for him. I will be surprised if the show quickly moves their courtship into a marriage.....it wouldn't be good TV drama.
The fact that Lucas is a good man. Wonderful man and likes she says kind and thoughtful etc. And the way he talks about family, - he would make a great father.
I don’t think they would stretch out the engagement as it would be inappropriate for the time . Their decision was made in last episode and the famous “kiss”. This is the late 19th or early 20th century after all. A man steps up !
Hi from Scotland. It's been quite hard for me to catch When Calls The Heart for a while now, and honestly after I heard what happened to Jack I was unsure I wanted to continue especially when I heard about the fighting between the different fan groups. That said a video of Elizabeth and Lucas popped into my suggested videos and thought I'd take a look just to see and honestly as soon as I saw them together I was hooked. Honestly it's the arguing between the sides that's more off-putting than the storyline. If you genuinely love this show, support it and I can't help but feel that perhaps some fans need to rewatch episode 6 of season 6, which I've just watched as I'm catching up. Two girls are learning to debate and they fall out because they disagree so strongly, and Elizabeth has to teach them that their friendship is worth more than their disagreement. Let's look and hope for the best in each other and the characters in the show.
Very Well said!! I was very behind because I was so sad about Jack leaving the show! We waited so long for them to get together! I thought, there will never be anyone else more suited for Elizabeth! Well as Soon as I saw her with Lucas! That was it!! Chris Mcnally is an amazing actor. He made me fall in Love with Lucas!! 😍❤ I think Elisabeth & Lucas make a Beautiful couple! I can't wait to see how their Love continues to grow!! Team Lucabeth!!
Thank you. I had a similar experience and was shocked to read so many negative comments about Lucas. He and E are great together and Lucas is a wonderful guy with so much love and care for E. I had to watch all on DVD except S8 finale and now S9. Had no idea there were "teams". I understand being enthusiastic about your guy, but not being rude and unkind to others or making rude and hateful comments be about the show and especially the actors and writers.. They all do a great job. I am just grateful for this wholesome, uplifting to show! Can't believe some people want it cancelled!!!
I'm looking forward to seeing Lucas grow into becoming a wonderful father, we all learn each day. Elizabeth fell in love with him not how much of a good father he is rather he was or not Lucas is a good man towards Elizabeth ❤
Lucas is going to be a wonderful father figure and father. He is honorable and loving. He has the kind heart and loving heart. His love for Elizabeth shines in all he does. Selfless.
Thanks Hallmark!! I was totally prepared to not like or approve of anyone besides Jack for Elizabeth!! But....Now... Jack Who?? You made me fall in love with Lucas!! Chris McNally is an Amazing actor! Lucas & Elizabeth make a Beautiful Couple!!😍❤💖 Lucabeth!!
The real problem is s 6 to 7 was great s8 made a mockery of Wcth and Elizabeth herself s8 should have shown Lucas was the better guy but without tearing down/ hurting Nathan and Allie they should have done it in away we all enjoyed s8 they didnt have to use Nathan as a punching bag they could have reunited us not divide us more that's what Tl doesnt understand and they wonder why were upset??
U all need to let it go! It's in the past Season 9 is going to be awesome! For all the characters! Nathan will have a new someone I believe & he deserves it! It was not Elizabeth, she is in love with Lucas! They r perfect!
I also think Lucas & Allie will have a great friendship,he really connected with het& I think Lucas & Nathan will become good friends! I do not think Allie; Nathan were mistreated! Elizabeth will always be there 4 Allie!
@@kimdye4609 well said . These are characters after all not real . Allie character I always found annoying ,intrusive, demanding. Not a lovable child as she has played in other movies .
I just caught HM putting my comments on the bottom..I just made a comment, check it out for yourself. most of the days ahead of mine are ahead of my comment when my comment should of been at the top
I agree completely. I was team Nathan, but I was not turned off to the idea of Lucas. In face, I heard many team Lucas fans say that Nathan was winning them over. I just wish they would have given him more substance and I would have been okay with it. None of their dates felt deep to me. It was all surface level imo. I hated the way everything pointed towards Nathan, then all of a sudden they did a complete 180 and said "she was seeing Jack in him." I did not see any of that foreshadowing in the season. Had that been obvious, like having Nathan and Elizabeth create iconic Jack and Elizabeth moments, I could have been down with that. That would have made perfect sense and I would have respected that even with my love for Nathan. I mean maybe I would feel different if I watched it again idk. But I will remember season 8 as when they gave Nathan so much hope then tore it down in about 10 minutes. Everyone is welcome to their own opinion. you may not feel like I do, and that is perfectly fine. Lucas is a good character and I'm sure they will have a great relationship. When it comes down to it, it is just a show, and it was a good one for many seasons. I however do not have any interest watching this next season. If I do return, it will be to watch Rosemary, Lee, and Nathan.
Of course, Lucas will be a great Father!!! We know that from how he treats Elizabeth and from his interactions with LJ through three seasons. The natural progression now E is fully committed to their relationship is for him bond even more with LJ
She didn’t have romantic feelings for her when she realised that she was keeping hold of Jack and transference to Nathan. Her romantic feelings were for Lucas, and the way she always lighted up with him and connected.
Exactly. He's had very little interaction and has shown little interest in Jack Jr. in past seasons. He couldn't even postpone their date when LJ was fussy and missing his mother. It's amazing how often they showed Nathan interacting with LJ, offering for all of them to go out to dinner instead of alone, not to mention what an amazing adoptive dad he is to Allie.... And yet, he didn't get to be the step dad? But, I'm sure Lucas will be the "best" dad this season, and have all the bonding moments. Yuck.

I understand you miss Jack, but you need to allow actors to make their own decisions and move on from a show when they want to try something new. As an audience can't control a storyline or an actors choices for their life.
@@cutethings8053 Hey it's not up to me. It just seems a waste of energy when the guy who played Jack has now completely moved on with his life now and is doing other projects now. Plus Elizabeth in the show is about to get remarried to someone who loves and supports her. I wonder how you would feel if someone said you should go back out with a guy you broke up with, or a guy you stopped dating 2 years ago or more. When it was an amicable break up and you both thought it was time to move on. However everyone around you thought they understood your life better than you did, so when ever they saw you they'd just always bring it up. At the end of the day if you just want to imagine Jack and Elizabeth are still together, enjoy the seasons where they are together and get the books that have them together. But I would think it's close to being, if not entirely impossible for them to be together in the series now. I mean Jack's dead and she's gone to his grave. But hey like I say you've got the early seasons and the books where they are together to enjoy still.
Caught you HM! You put my comment towards the bottom hoping no one would read it. Anyone can see for themselves when my comment was made and would ask why is it towards the bottom..Don't want negative opinions, then turn off comments.
Oh Wow!!! Actually spewing negative comments and admitting to it. Will this madness ever end. They put your comment at the bottom because everyone else here wants to enjoy the site, not read for ridicule amount of time how unhappy you are with WCTH, we get
@@cynthiastewart816 I'm entitled to my opinion regardless of whether it's negative or positive...if you don't like it, feel free to scroll on...but you had to comment just like a TL fan would do...you don't know when to just move on
@@sondraroark4028 You sure are, have at it. I did not actually finish my comment because I felt is was a waste of my time. My dear you just confirmed that I made the right decision. Have a lovely one.
Negative opinions belong at the bottom, especially since most say that don't even watch anymore. Most people clearly come to leave positive feedback and enjoy the pleasant comments. Why should negativity go first? There are more positive comments than nasty negative ones! . Glad they are first, because positive and kind comments are the best!
And she has another man. Her lifetime. They will get married, Elizabeth deserves that love and marriage which was all taken from her. She has found another wonderful man
You want her to be alone forever? She barely got to live a life with Jack. Yes, he was amazing but she’s got to move on. Also, Little Jack should have a father figure in his life.
In season 6, 7, and 8 NO, L would NOT have been a good father. In season 9 of course the writers will write him to be the perfect father..what an epic lost for WCTH...Whoever had the idea to put L and E together made a huge mistake and the ratings for season 9 will show..L character did not grow at all in season 9 but regressed. E was mean and unrecongizable, and the real hero got "gut punched" all season..What AN EPIC FAILURE WCTH HAS BECOME...I have watched since season 1 and let me tell you, NO CHARACTER LIKE THE CHARACTER OF L WOULD OF EVER GOTTEN THE GIRL...NOT IN A REAL WELL WRITTEN SHOW. The writing was all over the place and the fact that WCTH had to use the last 6 minutes to tell us why they chose L tells us ALL WHAT WE ALL ALREADY KNOW...EPIC FAILURE!
The whole reason they brought on Allie with Nathan is to show what a good father he is, because he was meant to be the step daddy. You show those traits before the choice is made, not after. They did not show Lucas interested in being a father at all, because that's not what he was meant to be. Elizabeth and Nathan could have had a beautiful blended family, and Lucas could have been put with a single lady who isn't tied down, like IDK...Fiona? But they will make everything seem perfect in the world of Hope Valley.
Lucas will be a good father cos he has the traits and is a good man. Just cos he didn’t have a niece or a kid before doesn’t mean he won’t be. That’s like saying non parents won’t be good at being parents. He also has family appreciation and has liked and moments with Jack all over the seasons even more then Nathan. Maybe go back and watch
@@l_various6931 I get that... I didn't say that Lucas couldn't or wouldn't be a good father. But they already SHOWED Nathan being a good father, they brought him on AS a father figure, one would think that they would have chosen Nathan... That's what a conclusion to a good story would have been. But now they have to do damage control, and shove Daddy Lucas down everyone's throats until we believe it. 😂
@@l_various6931 I'm sure the writers will write him to be a good one..you're not getting the point...HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN A GOOD ONE BEFORE SHE CHOSE HIM...NO INTERACTION WITH LJ PERIOD.
@@ellyc87 100% agree..The writing never got us there. N and A was the ones. You don't have a character that hires his own son to spy on his dad and get the girl in the end. They bashed N character the whole season 8 and I'm pretty amazed the cast went along with it..They should all be ashamed how far they let this get out of hand..all bc EK wanted CM
