A trip back to the holiday movie season of '94 finds Michael and Jeffrey praising (as many critics did) the John Hughes remake of MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET -- despite the fact the movie was ultimately nowhere near the box-office success many expected. Also in this episode is the first SWAN PRINCESS animated feature, which didn't compete with Disney but did ignite a neverending series of home video sequels (that continue to this day!), plus John Dahl's THE LAST SEDUCTION and OLEANNA.
Also interesting is the unconventional "meeting" open to this episode, which indicates the duo planned out their arguments before taping. Gene and Roger, I believe, never talked about their opinions ahead of the show if they could help it.
