@Cipheiz right... he was hitting the general area and for the most part he was probably alone until the last shots anyways otherwise the other cops would have been able to put shots into the car from their angles so yeah shots were on target and just like in the heat of battle if you can't hit them shoot at them to keep them down so you can manouvre others to hit them
@Jdawgg1313
@Jdawgg1313 2 года назад
@Cipheiz this is the comment I was looking for, well not this exact one, but this thread, that mag swap was probably one of the cleanest I’ve seen in the past few months of shooting breakdowns, also, this question isn’t directly for you cipheiz, but you can answer obviously if you’d like. But at the end, does anyone think that taser was intentionally deployed right then and there, I understand that the rods of god were definitely going to be used, but I’m saying that it looked like (to me, someone whose never been in a firefight) that the officer pulled his taser as a deterrent then accidentally deployed it as he waits a second or two then pushes everyone off saying “taser.” I’m just genuinely interested, besides that, HOW BOUT THAT MAG SWAP THOUGH! Dude was only "self-forever-sleep-icidal" because he got caught after pew-pewing law enforcement. He wasn't originally wanting forever-sleep-by-cop, or he wouldn't have ducked back in the car when the officer started shooting back. Effectively - dude thought he was about the life, and then quickly learned that he wasn't. Once he realized that now he's not only going to jail for his rap sheet, he's now going to jail for 20 more charges that he built up in the course of less than 5 minutes, he didn't want to deal with the repercussions he was responsible for; going to jail for 30 years without parole. He only wanted forever-sleep after realizing he's going to jail for the rest of his life.

@engineer gaming Correct. "self-forever-sleep-by-cop" requires some amount of premeditation. It's never an after thought as demonstrated in this video. He's not actually suicidal - just upset he got caught. It's very common for criminals to feign mental health after making a regretful decision. It's tantamount to a teenager saying "I wanna die" just because they aren't allowed to go to the concert or go to a party. Self-forever-sleep is a serious issue, but it's rarely impulsive in the context that someone decides it out of nowhere - it generally involves long term distress. Studies show there is a tie between impulsivity and self-forever-sleep. However, the impulsivity is a symptom of an underlying issue, not the cause of the self-forever-sleep. There's nuance between someone who actually WANTS self-forever-sleep-by-cop and someone who's failing to deal with their consequences and is throwing a tantrum. You might argue an "acute" self-forever-sleep crisis, but typically after psychological evaluations - these criminals aren't typically found to demonstrate any of the indicators of depression (outside of being sad they got caught) - rather than their criminal liability due to other mental health factors - namely their impulsivity.

5:48 DO NOT DO THIS WITHOUT A MUZZLE STANDOFF. About half of the glocks i've used will NOT go back into battery after the muzzle has been pressed 2 or 3 mm back. i used to use a cheap holster in competitions that would sometimes press on the muzzle if i squated down a certain way, and then later i'd go to shoot and NOTHING. The glock design is pretty sensitive about being out of battery and it takes barely any movement to keep the gun from firing. I totally understand why the cop did what he did here, but if he trains to do this or just lost his cool, a muzzle standoff is designed to allow this type of move. If the suspect had freaked out and pulled another gun out of his ass, there is a good chance the cop's gun wouldn't fire from being pressed too hard into the suspect's head as a side note, the PD where i live has fleeing felon laws. if a cop witnesses a person commit a certain level of felony (i forget the specifics) and then they suspect flees away from the cop, the cop can use lethal force depending on the context. the intention is to allow for lethal force in a situation where a suspect is moving from one area to another and has already committed a felony in the first area, and appears to commit another felony in the next area. without the law, the cop would basically just have to wait for the suspect to commit the second felony before lethal force is back on the table. in this clip, the cop could have just smoked the guy in my city without really any recourse (which is actually kind of freaky). It's happens way less these days now that use of force reports are more involved and closely monitored. i'm not sure how i feel about shooting a suspect in the back as they run away, but every situation is different

If he brought his firearm with him when he ran from the car, then yes they can fire on him as he is running away as he presents a clear immediate danger to the public after having attempted to kill at least 2 police officers. I think he left it in the car, but I'm couldn't tell if the officers knew that or not. (Kind of interesting in hind sight since he started doing suicide by cop, if he wanted them to shoot him, why not bring the firearm?) But you couldn't for example, shoot someone in the back because they burglarized a house, even if it's a felony. Tennessee v Garner.
@bronco5334
@bronco5334 2 года назад
@@singemfrc But the officers cannot know what other weapons he has on him as he flees. The perp has already shown the willingness to attempt murder with two separate weapons (first the car by crushing an officer against their patrol car, then multiple deliberate shots from a handgun), it is reasonable to assume that whether he has a weapon on him or not, he will seek to arm himself and attack officers and the public. In that situation, it is prudent to assume the perp is still armed. It was perfectly justifiable to magdump into him as he tried to run after the feigned surrender.
@mikesmith-po8nd
@mikesmith-po8nd 2 года назад
First of all, the PD does not make the laws. That is done by a legislative body and the PD only follows those laws. Second, most laws regarding shooting a fleeing criminal do not require that the criminal have a gun. The only requirement is that they present a significant danger. This guy tried to kill police officers at least twice (hitting one with his car and shooting at another). So when he ran from his car, shooting him would be justified. IMHO - YMMV

You should do a video about the situation I just read about. It's about a mental health call where the cop tases the person having a mental health issue and the dude dies. But all the articles start with things like "Taser-wielding Officer", if you read the article it explains the dude is 6'2 and 280 pounds and after several minutes of trying to calm him down for medics he rushes towards an officer who of course tases him which doesn't work. They get him into cuffs for medics and at that point he stops responding. They really love to paint the officer to look like a crazed murderer

I'm sorry if this disturbs you, but his high pitched screams from that taser are absolutely delightful.

Im usually hitting the jazzy kale while Im watching your videos 😂 but hey you gotta love a shoot out at point blank range that nobody gets hurt in. More or less an act of God that none of the 40 total rounds fired hit anybody in the very occupied apartment complex inadvertently being used as a back stop.

It's amazing neither side was shot. Storm troopers would be proud of this clip.

POEM FOR DONUT)Here's to the men and women in blue I and America adore you whatever the call you drop everything and come running willing to give your life for the innocent and try to save us all. If not for the men and women in blue there would be no country no order but that won't happen because we have people like you. I salute you hard and proud and I say thank you for never letting us down. Heres to the fallen officers you didn't die in vain I hope to see you in heaven so I can say thank you again and again... here's that poem I made and it would be cool if you could give me a shout out in one of your videos saying that you got the poem MY NAME IS PERRY RIVENBERGH AND MY UNCLE IS STEVEN RIVENBURG!H!!!!!!! FYI my uncle is a retired major of the New York state troopers so here it is at the top...

Legend has it that cop is still at the shooting range practicing since this video.

Why didn't the officers try talking to him instead of aggressively attacking him in militant clothing?? They could have called in a social worker to the store to chat with him 😏

Outrageous, clearly they just wanted to attack that poor man - who did nothing wrong - because they are corrupt pigs 🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓

Can we take a moment to appreciate the mag swap he did. That was so clean under pressure, and deserves special recognition and applauds👏🏽👏🏽
