Colin Turkington, Mat Jackson and Gordon Shedden share wins on dramatic day at Snetterton, which included a huge accident in the final race. Here's the highlights, plus listen to Aiden Moffat ahead of his home round at Knockhill.
I don't see anything wrong with the BTCC at the moment, apart from a few idiots at the back. In my opinion, this is the most interesting motorsport to watch at the moment. Much better than F1 or Nascar or GP2. Seriously, the BTCC has no flaws. F1 and Nascar has many.
Excess ballast, unnecessary tyre compound regulations, reverse grids, constant boost adjustment, three (short) races per meet diluting the significance of each round, poor driving standards, and hardly any manufacturer-backed entries. Not what I'd call 'flawless'. It's a shadow of the series it was. Current BTCC is overcomplicated, with too much emphasis on artificially levelling-out performance through the field. The BTCC have very cunningly disguised just how uncompetitive the series genuinely is by adding layer upon layer of regs. to allow back-markers fight for points. It's not for purists, that's for sure.
