Snetterton Trackday from July 13, 2021. This is Day 2, Part 2 from a fantastically organised Aprilia Factory day by NO LIMITS trackdays, 70% Aprilia bikes and loads of other bikes too. I had a huge gap in editing these videos and I totally forgot that lots of people subscribed to me because they preferred trackday videos and not bike reviews lol . So I am on it now , Mallory park video will be released on Monday or Tuesday night . That should be good too Look forward to seeing you too mate this year at some point

Hahaha , you were there not long after I went there . I tell you what , simple plain land but tough track to get into a zone but I kind of cracked it the end , I think a 2 min 3 is on the cards for sure soon . Thanks for watching and commenting mate

very cool intro showing your hotel; very nice place and yummy looking breakfast lol....and your bike is an awesome sight really....wooow man..the blipper on your bike gets you some scary moments. i'm sure you'll address the issue asap because it's going to snap...i would use the oem pegs in the meantime...man your editing is getting better and better at each video and i just love the music you pick. yep,you lowered your laptimes with some steady 2.09's with a best of 2.08.355 in the first seesion of thwe afternoon and then bang, you really started to master your pace with awesome 2.05's in the last session ; super dooper riding in the last session really,even with some hairy moments on the brakes LOLOL!! ...of course consistency is key ; you start from there and you're then CHASING TENTHS hehe .as usual i liked the variety of topics covered in this video with a quite ''''''intelligent montage'''''' and editing.

Wow Sylvan , you get surprised by my videos I get surprised by your detailed comments , definitely need to sort that blipper , I loose so much confidence in the morning with that issue , it’s massively off putting and very unpredictable but it’s definitely my fault for not sorting it . Overall I was happy with the pace in the end but it was long time to get there , it’s a surprisingly tough track , smoother you go the faster you are , the harder you try the slower you get , it’s so hard to explain, but I am sure you get it totally . Thanks again Sylvan, super appreciated as always , immensely grateful

I find an easier way to take turn 1 is to miss the first apex and that allows you to be wide open on the throttle for the second apex. It makes the straight before the hairpin a little bit longer.

Love this one bro. This track looks like a ton of fun. I like that bomb hole corner, that dip at the bottom seems like it could get folks out of shape quick. Very interesting corner. The track flows well. You following that guy was the right move for sure. It sorted you out instantly. I think if you can replicate a good one with him and not have to slow at the spots you're faster, you could probably gain another second. Lots of good trackday lessons in this one, on and off track.

Mate, you have mentioned some excellent points there , my sentiments exactly . I really found that bomb hole slightly unsettling but I don’t know if it was just me and yup following that guy was a wise move rather than racing him or trying hard to over take him because smoothness is what led to better times rather than brute force of just trying hard . @@ChasingTenths now I want to go find some videos of some pros on there to see how they handle the bomb hole. I think the right move is to pick up the gas just before you hit the bottom to avoid overloading the front then giving it more after the rear clears it? Or do you just trail brake into and pass the bottom and pray the bike doesn't lose grip transitioning from downhil to uphill?

@@snikwadRR I was very careful in the morning there but after the suspension was sorted I had no issue there , I was just giving it some and the rear was holding , nothing was a different story . There is a video on Tom Neeve on a Honda in 2021 on RU-vid , search that and that’s an epic lap

Aabi, you can't blanket everyone for leaving out the last session. They may have a variety of reasons for not going out or leaving early such as; Bike faulty, crashed there bike\fallen off, used all of their fuel, feeling fatigued, long drive home after a long day at the circuit. I find it better at the end of the day as you have more of the track to yourself as it's less congested. Great videos, keep up the good work.

Oohhhh yes offcourse mate, I totally agree with you , I think I should have mentioned in the video , I only meant it for the people who just go home for the sake of going home or people who can’t be just bothered & or laziness . Your point is very valid And absolutely I find it better at the end of the day too. You get so much more empty track. Cheers for watching it and commenting a valid remark

Great video again Abhi - you must spend hours editing mate !!!! Snett is not one of my favourite tracks to be honest, I find it hard to get a rhythm going, its either flat out in a straight line or small straights with 90 degree 1st gear bends .... but that's more my lack of ability I think !! but you seem to be right on it there - good skills !

Mate , honestly , you hit the nail on the head there . This was my third time there and I honestly was stuck at 2min 12 and I thought to my self , what’s wrong with me , I simply couldn’t get into a rhythm , the faster I tried , the slower I went. It honestly took lap after lap of concentration to really get to that 2 min 5 , I am in the same boat as you , I found it very hard to set my self or gel in . But yes editing this took a lot out of me , the original video was 58 mins long , I had to take stuff out of it lol Thanks for noticing the details and commenting

Absolutely mate, you make a super valid point . Me and him had a great laugh after the session, he is super talented and very good rider. He waived at the camera most times he went passed me . This is what track riding is all about, appreciating talent and mutual respect . Good comment

@@ChasingTenths I think one of the things these days also is all the tec on bikes,yours plays up with false blippers,they have anti wheel tec,traction control,all sorts of different modes,this is all great on race bikes chasing tenths,but look at that gsxr1000k8 also the gsxr1000k6 is another amazing bike,none of the old skool stuff has any of that,just pure power and rider skill,I'm not slating new bikes but do we really need all that,and look at your mates bike,totally lost power for a sec enough for you to nearly hit him up the arse.older bikes don't normally lost power like that,you know what I mean

@@matthewbence7970 that’s a very well made point Matthew, I have 4 other bikes with no electronics and I actually owned a Suzuki Gsxr k6 , it just started up and went no issues along with other bikes. I think the modern bikes need more pampering and looking after but once they are sorted they are on song. However there’s no substitute to talent , period as you very well mentioned in your first comment :)

@@ChasingTenths I used to race a Gsxr1000k6 years ago for around 3 years in the powerbike series in the MRO and it was and still is an incredible bike,going back to rider skill,now I'm not slow but I remember back in 2001 I had a new R1 and me and a few m8s did a trackday at cadwell and we got smoked by a guy on a first generation fireblade with straight bars on,he had a black leather jacket on with tussles on the arms lol and a pink mo hawk on his crash helmet,but he was so fast pmsl

2:12 slow… last year my Personal best was 2:18. This year I have just upgraded from a single R to the new BMW S1000RR so hoping to find a 2:12 rider to sit behind and chip away those seconds. Thanks for sharing.

Hey Chris , I know what you mean , I think my frustration was that I was stuck on that same time of 2 min 12 for a day and a half including a trackday I did in April 2021, and on all the other tracks I was much quicker so it was more just baffled . It is a tough track to get your head around so achieving a 2 min 5 at close of play was very rewarding. It just takes time slowly slowly but we all get there in the end , thanks for sharing your laptime and your target and how you will get there . It would be very interesting to know the progress , keep in touch :)

Thanks mate , that is the original Insta One X and the case is called Venture case , I don’t know if the new model of insta supports that case It’s quite a solid case But the insta software hides the case in its digital view . So it’s pretty good . Editing is the toughest part , it’s absolutely ages

Also, I couldn't see what rom you were at through Coram, but maybe short shift a bit grab 4th and ride that torque all the way out of that thing? There was this one corner at VIR back in the US that you could do in 3rd at high rpm and you'd come out of it and shift up almost immediately. A friend of mine suggested grabbing the next gear where the bike isn't screaming close to redline, and that subliminally makes you corner faster because you don't feel like you're sending it thru that corner when the bike has lower rpm, less buzz.

@@snikwadRR you will laugh at this , even I can’t see my RPM lol , that dash cover is too glossy and I struggle to see it , you will see in the coming videos I will take that plastic silicon screen off so people can see it clearly and I can it my RPM clearly then lol . I follow the LED lights on top . I know that if it’s the last LED light then it’s 13000 RPM and then subsequently lower . So I honestly don’t know exact RPM lol

Exactly the point I made lol mate so true , there were 2 or 3 bikes and even the session before lunch was dead. All good fun mate. It was super rewarding chasing down 7 whole seconds but I was a man on a mission that day even though only did 4 sessions

I am getting 6 Trackdays out of them in the fast group at various temperature & tracks, varying from 14 degree Donington day to 28 degree Silverstone . I didn’t do a euro event on it last year . But these Metzeler TD slicks last pretty long . I am doing another video on them Tomorrow night which should be a good informative watch . :) Thanks for watching mate

@@zxgopher v02 is an absolutely amazing Slick, it’s an out and out race tyre but really good on Trackdays . Metzeler TD is more like trackday , multi heat cycle , endurance tyre, but the profile of the tyre and the uniwind construction is exactly like a slick race tyre. Sylvian Guintoli tested this alongside the Pirelli and he was 1.8 seconds slower on the Metzeler but then he was using a Pirelli SC0 which is a qualifying tyre. I think v02 is fantastic but you will get 2 to 3 Trackdays in decent fast pace group where as this is double that but you might be half a second slower, to be honest I still gave this tyre everything I had , I had no issues at all
