Souradeep Bhattacharya I don't think Udaan was mainstream film and it targeted some specific audience. Films like Baghbaan have been more influencial in our society because of huge stars being a part of them. True Story - Me and friends are coming to hyderabad from Goa, while approaching hyderabad we can see some seriously bad weather, its a huge black cloud with wind, lightning and thunder just over the airport area. Its one of those smaller planes and not an airbus. Pilot tries to land 3 times and each time loses stability , finally makes a call to go to Vizag. We land at Vizag and find out there's no alternate pilot available. The current pilot is way over his stipulated flying hours and completely fatigued. We wait at Vizag for about 2 hours, finally pilot is approved for flying back to hyderabad. And we make it back. Its still bad weather with winds. Somehow we manage to land this time after a couple of shudders in mid air. Everybody just fucking clapped when finally landed to Hyderabad and Thanked Pilot who was standing near the cockpit exit
