While Snipedown gets an Invincible - that's 30 kills without dying - we watch the gameplay with him and get his thoughts on the new Str8 Rippin lineup.
Yeah, that was all implemented too late and I believe only came around due to mods as 343 were either too stubborn to have game settings without armor abilities or simply didn't really care about the competitive community.
Sport-An activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others. exertion-Physical or mental effort.
I play just like him, well maybe I snipe just like him... I guess he is my inspiration! I love his sniping skills! Good.job and keep dominating in Halo 3 and Halo: Reach! :)
I remember getting a kiltrocity in reach lol...this is nasty, never missed a beat. I don't even want to be that good. I'd be hunting him down the whole match.
i still think halo 2 took the most skill in the sense that there was a great discrepancy in skill tier. You saw in later events they introduced the halo 3 combine for top amateur players but I don't think that would have been possible in H2, H2 also had a faster pace than H3 and the bxr and doubleshot glitches which were huge in pro gameplay. In H3, the melee became much stronger but in H2, bxr was pretty much the only way melees were effective
This should be a gamestyle... MedalColector, some medals costs 2 points other 5 and best of them cost 10 and 20, first to get 150 wins... This would be a great idea :OO people should spread it...
@truints eh thats personal preference. i grew up o h2 and however glitchy i loved the maps the br was flawless and it was free of all the percs and equipment i.e. bubbleshield etc
People say video games aren't art either. The truth is, it is all subjective to peoples opinions. While it may not be a sport to you it is definitely a sport to many competitive gamers whether you like it or not.
@BeLikeWater1000 "It means 15 snipes in a row ..but it was 15 headshots in a row." I think by "snipes" he meant "kills using the sniper rifle" and he just added why he was more proud of getting this one.
@seu754e5rjdjf7 Just asking...how come when I played Arena before MLG was released, that me and my teammates were all in different Divisions but always played together?
At the beginning yes Reach sucked really badly, but after the title update and the MLG setting that were refined at the end, it was fun and competitive.
@IlPANDAlI No, you're wrong. Your "daily rating" or "game rating" is completely irrelevant to your Division placement. It used to depend on the game rating (ranking the people by their game rating, and scoring the match like it was a free for all) but "The Arena" is 100% based on Win/Loss record alone, just as it was in Halo 2 and 3.
@imWeezyHD Two completely different playstyles. Kampy playes in public games where he can piss around with the sniper, Snipedown plays in tournaments where he can win $50000, would you quickscope, wasting the majority of your bullets if you were competing for that kinda money? "/
@hogernaut Because you're right, it USED to be like that. I don't remember exactly when they changed it from Rating to W/L, but it was either Season 6 or Season 7 (I think Season 7, when they officially changed the name of it to "The Arena"). A lot of people on the Bungie forums complained about how stupid the rating system was, how it discouraged teamwork (eg. it's better to wait and let your teammate die and then finish his kill than to save him) etc so Bungie changed it.
@santykins dont know what the d stands for, maybe a middle name, his other gamertag that i know is called ew snip3down and ew are initials. his name is eric wrona. no homo. or maybe a little
Valhalla was a jizztastic map. Not gonna lie. But GUARDIAN! OoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooOOOOOOOO that was just a excellent map.
@rapmetaldemon09 Hell no. Onyx is very easy to get, especially if you start playing at the beginning of the season. I never got a 50 in Halo 3, but I got into the top 10% Onyx this season in Reach. Just play consistently and you're in.
@scottwill19 I've escaped more times without using sprint than actually using sprint. If you can sprint out of a bad situation that's reflexes. It's not idiotic at all. If you think a game mechanic that punishes people is a good thing, then take a look at bloom. Bloom was designed to make people pace their shots and punish the spammers. However, it completely fucked up mid-long range combat and nobody liked bloom. Sprint and evade are the only good armor abilities in the game.
The reach sniper was nice, but not gunna lie I really liked the halo 5 sniper, those two were my favorites. Halo 5 snipe will probably be an unpopular opinion. But it just felt nice along with the bolty sound. Reach snipe was stupid easy, the quickscopes were the best
@scottwill19 Armor Abilities were the best touch added in reach, unlike other stuff like overshield and bubble. I have to admitt that the maps were better in halo 3 though, but reach's campaign was better + the new things like armor abilities, some of the maps, Another thing wich is the sniper, i liked it more in reach. And about the other comment i know its not about ranks just pointing that theyre not rookies.
@scottwill19 I don't really care about amor abilities as long as they make us sprint... Halo Reach's Maps were't so bad... Sword base, pinnacle, countdown and mostly all forge..
@iWantToGuitar it's actually because everyone assumes that because they were good at halo 3, they should automatically be good at Reach...it's a new game, that those people took the time to learn and you didn't...and people like you just never died in halo 3, that's why you get domed now. I remember hitting people directly in the face, and blood flying everywhere, and they snipe me right after and they are like "OHH get raped! I'm so good!" when it's really their connection. Reach=H3
@Skreemsy It's just luck that I don't escape using sprint and luck that I do. I've made much more getaways in MLG without sprint. Reach MLG is basically Reach with all the "noob friendly" mechanics removed. Also, I kicked ass in CE, and it was definitely the game I did the best on. I like Reach the best only because it has better hit detection than CE did. All that aside, I don't see a problem with sprint and why people bitch about it.
@scottwill19 They were THAT different actually but, i played all halos and reach was my 1st to be honest, that's why i like it more, because i was used to it, and u like halo 3 because ur used to it. Halo 3 was dumb not being able to sprint though... Not saying it should have the armor abilities but at least make us sprint since we can jump 20 meters...
Correction*, If you say to everyone that Halo 2 was the best, it is obvious that you haven't played Halo 2. (He's saying Halo 2 wasn't good compared to Halo 3 and other's)
still, good playlists? i had a great time playing my infinity slayer and i still do, and most of other playlist were fun awell so i realy cant complain all that much
That's all I do when I play halo, so my K/D may be pretty good every game, but I only play for fun. I'm not looking to start a team, I just play to kill time when I have nothing else to do.
@biggerflexible well actually we played against ryanoob once in the last days and he sucked he started with a 1:5 and left the game. thats not how a pro should behave
I had this discussion with my sister last night, and you and her seem alike. You just can't grasp why a video could be considered a "sport". To me at least, a sport is more about competitiveness than athletics. I wouldn't call Halo a sport though, it's an eSport. Halo is all about strategy, teamwork and hand-eye co-ordination. Not only do you have to be individually skilled at the game, but you have to be smart and always aware. Video games have evolved into much more than a hobby man.
because the people playing make more than your dad. And it is a very competitive "sport" for lack of a better word. its a battle against minds. Many different things come into play. Specifically in Halo.
When I first started Reach, Infection f### up my K/D a bit because of campers on sword base. So I was like "SCREW INFECTION!". Never played infection for nearly a year and a few months :D
because they took the br out when it was successful in both 2 and 3, added an unreal amount of bloom to the reticule, the bullet magnetism was slightly more than halo 4s, you could place spawn points on a map in forge, but according to that spawn system it wouldnt matter because people regularly spawned off points and whereever the hell they felt like, the graphics were clunky and just not smooth, when i was playing halo 3 i didnt think the game needed all this extra shish. like aa and loadouts
I didn't put anyone down. I said it's not a sport. I didn't insult him, I didn't call him a name. I said I love games but never understood why people commentate on it like a sport when it's obviously not one. Nice try though.
odst isn't a competetive or main game why list it? liking a title is an opinion, for mlg mine would be ce>2>v7reach=h3>reach=h4. though for the overall experience i'd say h3=h2>hr>h4, can't speak for ce pc, didn't play it often enough to have an opinion.
