Sniper Elite 5 is better than I expected...

Hello T in F.A.S.T nice playthrough, I get it, playing it on normal level to show the game. I loved the SE4 and this SE5 looks amazing. BUT Its a whole different game and lot more rewarding playing on authentic level. It gives you more combat (stealth or die) smarter AI with alot more awareness. You need a strat to reach goals, rushing it is death. Difficulty can be changed at any time from the pause menu, so there is no need to restart a mission. W love to se just one mission on highest diff. :)

Where the nut shoots tho? 🤣

nice video. I wished there were a German campaign were you could snipe Russians or Allies.

@@__Mr.White__ Thanks! The invasion game mode actually let's you jump into someone else's game as one of the Germans and attempt to take out the enemy sniper!

yeah its no joke on auithentic, missions take 2+ hrs

That's what I love about this series, what got my attention to the series. How the enemies are, like if you see one on this part of the map then go to opposite end of map and come back he would still be there. Hate scripted AI games where they disappear/respawn and that when you leave a certain distance from them or linear games where you walk past certain point then releases AI enemies. So nothing has changed in 5 right? Im just catching up on 4 and trying to beat it so I can start playing 5 :)

I wouldn't say I'm "done" on twitch. I just don't stream as regularly these days because there is a big focus on RU-vid content for me at the moment and doing these streams on RU-vid for new releases usually does quite well for me. ok thats a fair take, but then what sniper game is more challenging than this? Like what do you play for your sniper fix if this is too "easy" for you? Also, if you turn all the "help" off, and make it authentic, its hard to believe that you would be "nailing" shots one after the other. Also, do you just dominate the pvp multiplayer so much that it bores you ? lol

I know this was recorded a year ago (this comment made 18/08/23) but each mission has a Long Shot Challenge and a Kill Challenge. On the mission Spy Academy for instance, you need to kill an officer by shooting a chandelier as he stands/passes under it. If executed properly this unlocks a weapon. In this the first mission, the Kill Challenge is to blow up the Officer's Car carrying Steffen Beckendorf with a land mine, at the foot of a road heading towards the coastline - the road that passes the outskirts of the local German HQ. The Long Shot Challenge is best achieved in a field below and to the side of the radar looking towards the pier. You might struggle to see the target from there so perhaps you might want to go within sight of the coastline and look to the pier to the farthest point away, or mark the end of the pier on the map and wave your rifle around slowly until it targets the patrolling soldier. Remember to use Match bullets to counteract bullet-drop, etc.

Having watched the first 2hrs so far, I’d say this is a masterclass in Tommo’s combat skills ala Battlefield, rather than much actual sniping lol. I do like that about Sniper Elite, you can play it your way, I’ve gone missions for an hour or more creeping around taking out people with the Welrod and hiding the bodies, before going loud into moments of combat like this. Would be good to see you try a more stealth and sniper approach than pure out and out combat too in the next one, just to show the different aspects of the gameplay. Flip side.. I also have no idea how you’d get through half of that without suppressed options. Maybe lay a few teller mines to blow up the vehicles as they pass, Welrod in the head the survivors then lay low until things calm down. I’d be very interested to see how you’d fare with this approach on Authentic Plus mode without any of the enemy tracking or HUD enabled etc. It’s a great experience as it forces you to play much more stealth to survive as your top asset. But.. not sure how an Authentic Plus mission play through would go down on a stream, as it’s a much more subtle, low paced form of Sniper Elite. My one criticism of the game, considering it has been 5yrs since Sniper Elite 4, is that it essentially looks nearly identical to the last game. It looks basically like a content update above all, which is a little disappointing. I was hoping to see some major graphical and gameplay updates, but really this looks like more of the same for the fans. I’ll still get it I’m sure, but it doesn’t look to me like it’s added anything meaningful to the gameplay.

In order to unlock attachments it is needed to unlock the workbenches.

@@MyReligionIs2DoGood yeah, I noticed this was the only workbench I didn’t have on this map. Got it and was surprised what attachment came with it.
