I played Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 just months ago... and I had so much fun playing the game. Yes, I can say, that it isn't a good game in many ways... but it's fun... and I am excited about this one... somehow.

Yes. It reminded so much of Far Cry 2 that I loved it. Problems? Yeah... biggest being enemy spawning (lack) for extreme long shots... but overall I had a great time with the game and have a hard time understanding the extremely harsh reviews. It's a AA janky game that can be great fun at times.

R700 Gamer The only difference between this and Sniper Elite games is the XRay vision in SE games and WW2 vs modern setting. Otherwise both have the same barely there story and bland main character. I don't see why this game gets so much hate while SE games get a relatively easy pass, from both media as well as players. Contracts does look like CI have delivered the most refined experience in the series till date.

@@main_stream_media_is_a_joke The maps in Sniper Elite are unique and very detailed. SE is obviously more polished than SGW. Every game CI Games releases feels unpolished and not unique. SGW3 felt like they took mechanics from a bunch of other games like Far Cry and Ghost Recon Wildlands instead of making something unique. I'm sure people would be more forgiving towards CI Games if they took more risks instead of copying other games. I had fun beating SGW3, but it did feel like a cheap game.

Automatic Ocelot If the maps are good and the game runs good straight out of the box,..... why not. I am totally pissed off with modern AAA games, what with numerous launch issues and gargantuan file sizes. AA gaming may just see a resurrection in the coming days.

It's worth noting that the studio has reduced its staff to only 30 developers post SGW3 release. To think they had plans of competing on the same level as Techland or CD Project.

Why do game devs have such a hard on for motion blur? I have yet to play a game where it is useful.

The effect increases realism, especially in FPS games. I always keep it ON and if I have the option (like in Battlefront 2) I keep it up to 100%. I like that it increases realism by giving you a sense of unpredictability because it blurs out the image that is out of your main focus, in fast action, kind of like in real life.

@BackdriftNightfall we don't have motion blur. Our brain just automatically filter out visual information that is not in focus (which still get picked by our eyes) to not overwhelm our visual processing. Motion blur is an imitation. We don't have that in real life.

Sniper Ghost Warrior has struggled since Sniper the Art of Victory released back in 2008. Unfortunately, it just can't compete with the more popular Sniper Elite franchise. Having said that, I'm really surprised that the series has stuck around for as long as it has. At least, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts has a budget price of $40 and it's even cheaper if purchased via Steam. The ending was hysterical and absolutely unexpected. I loved it. Thanks Karak for being the best reviewer on RU-vid. As always, I really appreciate the continued hard work. Keep it up!

I fell into the rabbit Hole with this game. Prior to those, my experience was with early CoD games, Deus Ex and Crysis. I'm not a huge gamer, but the idea of sneaking around and offing enemies from behind, or sniping from a distance are game themes that I really like. For my tatses, this game has really hit a sweetspot with me. I can even put up with the dodgy graphics and bugs that trap you in a spot that you can't extract yourself from without restarting the level. Oh, and yeah, the sounds effects like the wolf are painful. The sound programming seems to have been a big failure. The sudden change of sound effects when you merely turn your head is a real pain. But hey, I'm more into the stealth play. As for me, it ticks all the boxes for me even though I know it has some failures.

One thing that they didn’t change that was in sniper ghost warrior 3 that is still in sniper ghost warrior contracts is that the dynamic environment interaction isn’t a thing on console, only on pc which isn’t fair.

Yea the problem of the previous title SGW3 was not the scale of the maps, but the fact that it was so freakin empty, it was just a bunch of dead land water and forests ! Yea there were a couple of enemy outposts here and there outside the main lackluster story but that's about it. The game had a lot of potential , however the devs mist out on putting stuff in. A lot of missed opportunity in my opinion. So I'm very curious about this installment and really hope that its better and avoids some of the weird mistakes from the last game !

I love just how slow you can take it. Yeah i work alot so i only do a contract or two a day here and there but I love savoring it and taking my time observing , steadying my aim and slowly pulling the trigger. Only way I'd like it more is a vr port somehow maybe.

Contracts 2 is fantastic. It's basically a map pack for Contracts 1. The 3 classic maps are absolutely gigantic and beautiful, while the 3 long range maps are a mix of medium and very long range sniping. All in all an absolute blast.

I don’t know why. It listening to this. I started think what if farcry would do something like this. Not sure if having 1giant open map or having a bunch of different locations that are really big in there own right. Just imagine farcry in wild land but with cool contracts to assassinate people in there bases. Give us a bunch of ways to get the job done. Shit load of weapons. Cans change outfits, find ways to set up cool kills. Man now I want to play both farcry and wildland.

Dude! there were like 3 gamestop ads in this video, that's awesome. I tihnk this is the first time i've ever been pumped to see ads in a video, and the first time i've had a positive feeling about gamestop in the last 10 years or so. i wonder if the "wait for deep deep sale" category can now be replaced by "wait for game pass"? by the way i was wrong about the video not appearing in my subs, it was my oversight, it was there so please disregard my prior comment about this.

I just got this game and I enjoy it very much. Yes it has some issues to patch up, but over all it is fun. I like the fact that you have to try different ways to complete the mission as you die. This is no means a GOTY, but for what it is good.

Graphics aren’t everything. I will probably just stick with SGW3 due to cooler settings, the immersive hideouts, better story and dynamic time of day. It just feels way more interesting and immersive than this hub-like gameplay.

Say what you want about CI games, they do have an audience who enjoys the kind of games they make. They have been stumbling for many years with extremely low quality games, even the first couple of SGW games, but this time around they have delivered a very focused product without the forgettable side quests that populate the open world games design. Got this game and played for a couple of hours. Very stable fully fleshed game despite the AA trappings and absolutely loving it.

These sniper games are always just fun. They dont blow the genre wide open or win any awards but they are always well priced and a good time. Frankly, that's all I need them to be.

It would be great to see reviewers band together to start their own video service (similar to what ASMR artists have done with the Tingles app) to avoid You Tube’s red tape and regulations. Could charge a nominal annual membership for a few bucks and set their own guidelines. I feel as if a lot of you tubers feel beaten down by demonetization and other issues, which understandably affects their enthusiasm and the end product.

Argh, I wish this series got more love than Sniper Elite, recently got what 4? For free on PS+ and wow I do not see the appeal, those games don't seem to know what they want to be. Is it a stealth game? An action game? Hell if I know.
