Final words of wisdom -- aggressive sniping is a game of risk reward, as you can see I died quite a few times throughout this video, constantly pushing the boundaries of what's possible. I might have 4000 hours in this game, and I might be considered a good player, but you're never too "experienced" to be humbled and learn from your mistakes. How to embrace your inner lew? I still can't really figure out what to set the sniper distance at or how far to lead etc. Of course, it's all experience, but it's kind of like, "fk this..." as I get my ass beat missing what I would say easy shots. Then I hit the sponge guys and then I get 1 tapped. haha I wish there was a mode where I can just have the AI run around at different distances like ducks and just practice on them, especially moving. Duck hunt noises included.

The Kiba 2.5x is actually one of my favorite scopes. It does a very well job for it's price and while not being useless on closer ranges it is definitely usable on mid-range. Recently loving to put that on an SVDS and run it on smaller maps like Customs. So my conclusion for this scope: "nice scope o7"

I don't get all the hate for fixed zoom optics, 2Lew has been saying it for awhile but honestly they are just such a better option the majority of the time. The prism does look weird but it performs, same with the ACOGs and monstrum

@@countspooku1586 I often definitely feel the point from people why having different zooms are fine. Personally, for my camping-like and slow playstyle I don't necessarily need fixed optics. For me it's more just that the Kiba scope provides a zoom I can work with on short- to midrange if I am going away from my comfort zone

I've had extreme problems with Ap-M this wipe. We are talking missing a scav with 20 bullets from 50m away not even seeing the impact of the round. Most likely because of some bug.

Sniping is one of the most satisfying Tarkov experiences you can have in this game. I'd even go so far to say it's some of the genres best moments. The anticipations, the patience, skill for landing shots, and maneuvering right, as well as a dose of luck. When it all comes together, and works in your favor, nothing even comes close. It's why I always come back to this game, because sniping is the best experience you can have.

11:52 it isn't a bad scope option and is overlooked. Personally I think *the real sleeper* no one uses (because it is a little tall) is the SwampFox TriHawk. You can regularly pick it off the flea for 20k, it has a nicer picture, greater magnification *and* it is NVG-ready. I love the Monstrum for general purpose but from a cost/performance perspective there is no comparison.

if it aint broke, done fix it. personally I dislike the mosin because its heavy and sluggish.. and sniping with anything that uses m80 or whatever feels weak. VPO GOOD 👍

Nice scope 07 then. I subbed some time ago when we fought at customs, I really like the style of your videos, editing is exceptional. I set up different goals every wipe, this wipe is bolt-action only and VPO is the gun to go. I am playing with ACOG TA01NSN or S&B 3--12. I really enjoy ACOG, it's so good on VPO, no bugs, no slow turn speed, almost no ADS lag. It's about 20k on flea as your favourite as well. Till the next encounter, GL, HF.

Trying to get into sniping in Tarkov. I use the same VPO as you, and was wondering how I get a silencer on it, and different scopes? I am 100% new to this game lmao, so sorry for the question. Can't figure out how to change up weapons, I am assuming I just need to upgrade the traders. Also does better amo have less bullet drop, I always have to adjust my scope before I shoot.

Around 28 minutes when "they turn off the lights" lol, how can you even see what you're shooting at towards dorms? No NV and on my screen can't see a thing but you're shooting at something. I've seen people adjusting their gamma on their monitors and stuff like that, but I do my photo/video editing and other things so I don't want to adjust my monitor solely for tarkov. Great videos and all but then you claim "stop caring about the wiki that says AP-M has less precision" and then at 17:23 you get those "hits", spoilers, I really don't think you hit him 3 times in the head there. Your shots just missed because that sniper has the worst MOA amongst all the bolt actions, and you add the imprecision from AP-M. Your shots will generally hit a lot of the times, but then a few other times they just straight up miss with no fault of your own

I started watching this vid this morning. Didn't make it halfway through the vid before I loaded into Tarky, got a 215, mount, scope, suppressor, and some AP-M and *went to work*. This is such a simple setup, but with my crappy vision, it works pretty well. I can still reach out a long way, enough for Shooter Born in Heaven. I think it's really funny that the conversation about scopes goes down like it does. I believe variables are better, and the Vudu and razor are the best. But they're too expensive to put on every gun. That's where all the other scopes come in. The point isn't which ones are fixed and which aren't - which variables have 1x - or which slot you put it on (AScombo my queen of reflexes). Does the optic suit the purpose/play style you're going for? Then test it in hideout to see if it's decent to look through. That's it. I've used ACOGs on 7.62, reflex on bolties, and a Vudu on anything I wanted to Chad with. It doesn't matter.

Great video as always. I'm just surprised and a bit disappointed about your comment on AP-M accuracy. I've been testing that just to see how real the info was and I've come to the conclusion that starting 100+ meters, you can actually miss shots. Especially if you ain't dead center on your target's head. Sometimes it'll correct your own inaccuracy but I would never bet on that. Considering the weapon itself isn't that precise for a bolty, I'd argue that it's an OK combo for maps like customs and yes, the price of the loadout makes it even better. Still, saying the accuracy (or lack thereof) is to be ignored is a bit too much. That being said, maybe people make a big deal out of it, idk.

AP-M is, by far, the best round in the game. Hands down. It's insanely cheap for the amount of damage it has and how cheap the guns it uses are. Being able to 1-tap with budget weapons reliably through even some low-tier tier-4 armor to torso is actually insane, and only tier-5+ helmets will block the round. Even then, there's still a very high chance it'll kill through a tier-5 helmet. It's an absolute beast of a round.

When i played Tarkov (I don’t play video games anymore because of my inability to control my anger) i thought it was boring because I didn’t think it was fast paced enough and I was scared of losing my gear. When I see your videos, I wish I didn’t play as passive as I did, in any game in general. Like when I played dishonored, I didn’t use a single mana pot because I’d rather let mana recover instead of using my precious pots. That’s why I think games like this was for me. Still like to watch them though. Anyways I just wanted to write some stuff down. I still love video games thanks to people like you and your channels. Keep up the great work!

I wish Tarkov actually handled LPVOs realistically, rather than instantly toggling between minimum and maximum magnification. Having the flexibility to use intermediate zoom levels, as well as it taking time to crank up or down the zoom, would add something that Tarkov currently lacks.

I don't really get the argument that "bolty is satisfying" trumps just using a vpo-209. I think as a budget weapon, yeah that makes sense, but if you've got enough to be running APM then you may as well take the goofy sorta-DMR over a bolty IMO.

I did all my shooter quests and shooter born in heaven quests with AP-M ammo and it was the easiest thing I've ever done. I 1 tapped a kid with a full health Tagilla Gorilla helmet from over 150 meters on woods. Not alot of rounds in the game that can do that

I have both a primary arms prisim scope, and the monstrum in real life. Ironically, The primary arms in real life is by far superior, and the monstrum is the dirt cheap inferior version. The eye releif on the monstrum always seems to leave those dark shadows no matter where you mount it on the gun. It's like looking through a straw. Wish they would let us take the scope caps off, or at least rotate them so that they flip down instead of up. I run mine without them on my rifle.

I use the same loadout! Only thing different is the scope I like the 4x acog little more since it’s cheap as fuck for 18 k or less + it’s very organised and simple

Can i get a video where you use the swampfox trihawk? I think its the best scope around, i used it on that same setup and got soooo many kills using it. Nice vid btw!

Instructions unclear, guy's helmet ate a 7.62x54 LPS and then I got hosed with BP rounds.

i always default to the mosin because i can get LPS or PS pretty easy an when im feeling a little spicy i use the suppressed DLV. maybe ill have to give this setup a test drive...
