I like using a PCP for those, even a Benji Disco works. .177 w/Daisy lead free flat points (raptor safe as some go to a falconer friend). Try Hank Shaw's dove popper recipe for them, it's on his website and I think Bobby has his cookbook with it in his lodge.

Jordan, you really should think about getting an airgun for this kind of thing. Just make sure you get one that has or can be converted for Slugs. In the long run it's way cheaper then a .22 and way more silent. Especially if you put a suppressor on it. When bow fishing remember to aim under the fish or you will shoot over it 9 out of 10 times. I love bow fishing, can't do that here in Germany though. Back in the states I used to go bow fishing all the time.

.22's are great for this but maybe you should look into doing this with an air rifle. there are so many bad ass models out there

If you want a 22 ammo for shooting birds and alot quieter and wont damage the metal roofing get some cci 22 quiets they are amazing for small game like birds and squirrels and rabbits and super quiet

@@JordansHarvest they are kind of like subsonic ones but shoot even slower I think they are rated a 700fps instead of the 950 most subsonic is

@@dakotahicks6725 exactly. 710 fps but with a 40 grain blew instead of a 29 grain like the other 700fps ish rounds. The segmented hp quiets are wicked as a dispatch round on the trapline too!

Only trouble with these is they have the ballistics of a house brick. Have to be VERY good at judging your drop
