Imagine the second part of the 6* being something like "your 5+ cost spell summon a pyke striking the weakest enemy" that's the vibe I get from how they named it but it's probably a stretch

Not changing cards like Pyke but adding items to PoC content is imho a good sign for the future of LoR. Reading in between the lines it hints that there are plans to revive PvP in the future as they have finally developed a PvE system that is generating revenue. I know most of us here are PvE for the most part but the best way to ensure LoR continues to grow is to have a healthy mix of both groups so I hope I'm reading between the lines correctly on the reasons as to why they would not revert Pyke back to pre-nerfed state and instead adding items to his kit in PvE(possibly because the future involves revitalizing PvP and PvE?)

​@@dieterbohlen1572 I think the reason they don't have that is because champions with relics and added items to their kits would ensure a rock-scissor-paper type outcome where one deck will always be countered by another instead of relying on the player to out think their opponent. In regular PvP in CCG, balanced games often come down to a little RNG and a lot of thinking 2-3-4 moves ahead and countering the most likely move your opponent makes. The relic system would make it so that one champion will always beat another specific champion who in turn would always beat another specific one regardless of the player's skill which is why I don't think they would ever be able to successfully implement that without re-coding years of code that would force them to revamp regular PvP and PvE across the board. TL:DR short answer It would cost too much to rework the coding. This is why the Spirit Forge Consumable is permanently in the emporium at -80% off. That was a coding issue that was too expensive to fix as well.

Monthly is favourite bit. I like how short each adventure is, just a boss fight or two. And I love needing to save my good champs for later and using the weakers one first. Or deciding on if maybe i need to waste a jinx run early or whatnot.

Yeah they're not a long adventure just to level champs but they're unique/different most of the time. They should release daily challenges like this and have leaderboards like, most damage done to Nexus, fastest time, most used champ, etc, and you can see people's builds and stuff. Would be fun to learn how others do things.

Would it be strange for me to suggest that, just like the items suggested in the League of Legends item shop, somewhere in the game the PoC should suggest builds or tips for beat certain adventures like Swain 5*?

The problem with Pyke in PoC isn’t all the generic stuff people have complained about. It’s just that lurk is too slow of a mechanic for PoC.

Whooooo! Lets go! I love the way the game is going and PoC is alive again. People will always find something to complain about, it is human nature. Why they hyper focus on this task is still beyond me after a few decades observing them. Normies terrify me. However, they can choose to do so, or they can choose to acknowledge its not for them and focus on what brings them happiness. Its much more fun a game when you just play to have fun, however that fun may be for you. Thank you for the video Spicy and have a great day fam 💜

While it is interesting information, the only bad thing about this rework that I see is that at low star level, changing his powers may make pike worse. Since he would constantly give lurk to units, this rework means you need the 4 star to get back that deck strength

For Pike, it is too slow to add one attack power per attack round, unless the number of attacks is not limited and Pike's attack opportunities are increased.

The way they approach to have diffrend difficult modes and try to release easy and hard adventures is a great idea. I thought to solve the problem to satisfy both low and high level accounts was to make star powers toggles. Relics are good power source but star powers gives also not less. That way you can enjoy the the low adventures with champs you bought the powers. Especially new low/mid adventures on high accounts/high star champs. Playing the 6* is nice and "needed" for high level adventures or just for any other reason but its not revertible but you could not enjoy low star adventures. Selfsabotage to adjust the power level dont make fun. That way it also unlocked "custom" difficulty runs. Myself isn't a high level account, i would say. I came to my mind after i scroll through my champs. I dont know if this catches the thinking of high/mid accounts nor i know how the technical difficulty to arrange it is but could be a consideration.

Ok I will say I misunderstood what they meant with hard mode, hearing that for the next time it will be an easy mode and hard mode for everyone is reassuring. I absolutely hate swain and will not play it, it just felt like it sucks the new content just was impossible for me, the thing with the easy mode of swain is exclusive to vi's story so that wasn't a real new easy mode. If they change that in the future then hell yes okay that's more of my speed. Pyke changes seem good and good lord please animation speed

Ok so the BIGGEST thing they could do is make the reroll NOT GIVE YOU THE SAME SHIT YOU DONT WANT. I literally have 5 rerolls on my 6 star Lux Illuminated and get the same shitty common powers I DONT WANT after rerolling 5 times. We should be allowed to reroll infinitely or choose our starting power (minus legendary for balance reasons without a power) that way we can actually choose what the hell we want and have a good adventure. That and make it so that we can PICK what cards come with our support heroes. I would like to pick... Say Ezreal more often as a support champion. But I do NOT want his 7 cost spell in my decks.... It literally just sits in my hand because it add very little value to any match. 3 damage doesnt do much when the enemy summons 4 units with 8+ health on round 0. By round 7 its already gg.

I'm a bit worried the dev team didn't realize at any point how badly Swain's adventure is designed. There are two major points that SHOULD have been caught on but they either missed them entirely or ignored on purpose (I'm leaning towards the latter). 1. The adventure just completely throws out the window strategizing you would expect from LoR. Enemies summon 4 units for free, have 50% higher stats and plenty of mana to work with. There's no outplaying the opponent here - you either pick a champion with lifesteal/big heals for this adventure or pray to draft into that stuff. And you still have to deal with all those burn and stun spells. So you either win in two turns or stall until you draw all your healing options (super fun, btw). In comparison, most opponents in Lissandra's adventure can be tricked in some way. It's not the same as outplaying a living opponent, but it's something. 2. Swain's adventure is incredibly BORING. Modifiers of individual opponents are completely overwhelmed by the ones applied to the entire adventure and the first three turns are basically always the same. It's the same on player's side. If, at the very least, a shop was offered at the beginning like in Lissandra's, you could try to roll for a fun combo to work with. But instead it's just a common power node you can try and pray to RNGesus to grant you an epic rarity or higher. Why do I think the devs decided to release a mess of an adventure despite being aware of its issues? Because they have assigned only 5 rewards in total for completing it. As such, this is not an adventure proper - just a weird challenge you're expected to complete 5 times in total and never touch again. For majority of players, including those with 6* champions, Swain's adventure could just become inaccessible after the 5th win and they wouldn't even notice. It was just a check on the list, 'release a super hard ”adventure” to occupy big spenders for a while' - check. The LoR team feeling proud about recycling an existing adventure to save resources would have been cute, if their approach to doing this didn't feel so lazy.

Dev: "we know that not everyone will enjoy that adventure" Spicy: "i enjoyed that recent adventure" (1:44) And i seen other liking it too. Not trying to be rude, just saying that for some ppl, the things you mention are not that big off a problem as they are for you and that they hopefully will try to make adventures in the future that ppl like, which didnt like this one. And from my knowledge they even announced that they are just taking swains adventure from vi's story and making it a 5 star. So i assume they literaly gave the same "unique" power as in the adventure, just changed the deck and slapped on the 2 new powers that everyone has, as difficulty modifier

I think Swain is the sweetspot for difficulty. You have to build your champ around the adventure and imo, its good that not every champ can clear him. A Pyke will never clear him without high roling lifesteal somewhere somehow, thats why Bilgewater isnt a region you have to clear him with. Pnz,Ionia and targon all can either clear the city breakers turn 1, or lifesteal stall it out. If everyone can clear everything without problems, where is the challenge and even more important; Wouldnt it feel unsatisfying, winning, knowing you were ment to win? ^^ Edit: I cleared him with Jinx on my first braindead try with 5* and the 6* power, that didnt even feel like a challenge. Kayne however, oh boy did i juggle in my brain to clear that, and i realized that Runeterra champs werent a challenge reward for a reason ^^

Beaten Lissandra for all the rewards. Never once had fun doing it. I think they have just become money Monkeys like every other company unfortunately. They can say they are doing things to be fun, but it doesn't make it true. Maybe if it wasn't so difficult without paying hundreds of dollars to level up champions for those of us who may need to allocate our funds differently, I might develop a different opinion then.

@@tobias97erdt So you're saying they are selling content that they specifically design to be fun, even tho more challenging, isn't supposed to be fun? I think you outthought yourself there sparky, try again. My point is they come out with content now that isn't as enjoyable because there is a paywall if you want to gain max power. Or I guess with their current system, wait about 7 years to gain the daily and weekly rewards enough to do so? Most of the reason this mode did so well is because it is relaxing to play. One of the greatest features of LOR was that is was supposed to be player wallet friendly. I don't feel it is any more. And I enjoyed POC way more than I did pvp even tho there were no real rewards for doing it. Also, I'm not anti-spending on the game, they have just made it really hard to get more than maybe 4 stars unless you spend literally hundreds of dollars. BTW I did finish all of it now, and again I found Swain less annoying than Lissandra I still stand by my statement. The game has changed. I'm hoping it will again soon.

@@aeovid it's not meant to be fun for "underequiped" champions and for the difficulty level normal 3* champions are underequiped. Can they beat it with some skill and luck? 100% and I did so with all the lissandra/swain runs. But I found it to be not the greatest joy. That you are frustrated about the trash aquisition model is 100% justified but that the adventures are unfun for 3* champions is just within their purpose to oppose a serious challenge for 5*+ champions
