He's not a sell out, he doesn't feel the need to talk violence and add to the negative. Like he said somewhere else, he's grown now. He's smarter now. He doesn't get involved with the negative when he doesn't need to, and why should he? Are you going to be there for his family if something happens to him? No? Well then. Liked him from the beginning, like him more now he is enough if a man to do his own thing.
I love how he says "When I wrote that song it was like a whole lot of frustration was on my mind" He's the most chilled sounding dude on earth, sounds like there could never be a frustrated bone in his body.
Even when snoop was a youngster, he always gave it up to the older homies in the rap game. Like calling Ice T a true legend. Respect to the homie Snoop lion.
Snoop is very inspiring I like how he uses his lyrics to express the real way of life and how corrupt our society is. Listening to that song myself made me think of his frustration and what he was expressing was very true words
He was a west coast, black moderate, and that isn't a knock about his race. It's pointing out his origin from L.A. and culture, which was simply summed up. But, don't take that as a shallow. I really mean something deeper. It was hard for Snoop to 'walk that line', so to speak, and keep it real. But listen to how intelligently he remarks on things affecting his area, his city, his neighborhood, his people! He really brings the voice of his people to a wider audience without sounding in vogue or insincere. He is charismatic, which helps, but also plainly speaking the truth and trying to cause positive things for people. Love Snoop!
Only a person from da suburbs sitting behind a keyboard would say snoop is not a real crip for growing up and realizing his mistakes that he was born into making...gtfoh
Man why dont they do interviews in streets no more? U see it all the time back in the 90s with rappers and other musicians like kurt cobain too, that format is so cool, no bs studio podcast lounge shit just a street and some talking. It has a vibe
Wow I remember him, and I remember snoop dogg when he was the age of 23 he has been great but now he is old wow I'm impressed how people are going everytime.
"You never hear 2 songs that sound the same". EXACTLY! You sure as hell couldn't say that now. Ridiculous what way some people went with Rap and Hop-Hop. We need our OG's! Gotta remember why they are here. And to keep it Alive! REAL MUSIC! Respect. I don't like hearin these youngsters disrespect the OG's. And never will stand for that. Pisses me off when they aren't even anything special in my opinion. And just copying other music and style so it all sounds the same. If a song is garbage it gets blown up for some reason. Then HELLA people copy off that 1 song so they all sound the same. And the same exact thing repeats to now you don't hardly hear any of the good real music. Sucks. Rant over.
