Great video, well produced and informative. I'm a HGV driver and have been looking for a better sat nav (my car one isn't really suitable). Thanks for posting, think i'll have to make a purchase.
For Dorothy Allen I have had no problems getting map updates at all. I wonder if anyone else has had a problem. Using coordinates is a bit of a mine field as there are so many different ways of expressing a location. Check the syntax of the Snooper coordinate system and make sure it matches the coordinates that you are trying to enter. Peter
Great video it's much appreciated. Just unboxed mine for my truck having watched your videos to make up my mind. One thing I can't figure out, I want to have the radio playing whilst driving as my truck radio has stopped working. Is this not possible? I can't find a way :-(
I have not tried the radio whilst driving (as my cab radio works fine) but it should work with no problem at all. The only issue may be that the reception might be poor when you did your test. If you continue to have problems let me know and I will take it for a drive with the radio on. Peter
Sorry to take so long on this...YES IT WORKS Go to the radio station you want and whilst it is playing press the on off button at the top briefly. That brings up the menus which allow you to get to Navigation. The radio will still be playing. Please let me know if your does not do this or if you have problems. If needed I will include a demo of this in my next Q&A video. Peter
Are you the same Peter Parfait associated to the property auction news magazine lived in pows wales / great job on the videos / are you working for snooper ,if not then you definitely deserve commission as you’ve convinced me to go and buy one and probably many more ,don’t think snooper could have done a better job !
Hi Karen, Dad's family were from Wales but I am not the one that you mention. No, I have no connection with Snooper but rate their satnav above that in my 2015 BMW. Peter
hello fellow youtube watchers I have the truckmate pro 8100 as a basic truck sat nav it's ok but for the money they are looking it's a bit disappointing tv will only work if yr in a big city with strong freeview signals the Ariel is tiny with no option to plug better one in and the hands free Bluetooth is a joke it works but no contact or log details show it also can't read yr messages the map update only work on pc not mac witch is not supported and the firmware update refused to install on the device just to let you guys know ok cheers
These units are useless. and customer service is even worst. Here's a game for you, Call Snooper customer services then post how long it took you to speak to a human.
+Steve Taylor Hi Steve, I am sorry that you have had problems with the Snooper support. I had to call them about 18 months ago when I had a mix up doing a free map update. It took less than 5 minutes. If I can help in any way I will. I love mine and rate it twice as good as the unit which I have in my BMW. Peter
Sorry you can not help. The unit is dead, will not see satellites. (Even after been left on for Ten (10) hours) (My £60 Garmin working fine (less that 5" away from the snooper)) Snooper customer care is useless. I've saved my money on a repair (With a poor 30 day warranty) and bought a Tomtom (with lifetime world maps, etc) with 2 years warranty and far better customer service.
