Snoring is a common condition that affects millions of people. It is the sound that occurs when air flows through relaxed tissues in the throat, causing them to vibrate during breathing.
While snoring may seem harmless, but it can cause disruption to both the snorer and the partner, leading to daytime fatigue and irritability. Snoring can be caused by obesity, alcohol and sleeping on your back.
Other conditions like sleep apnea, nasal congestion, or deviated septum can also contribute to it.
There are several ways to prevent or reduce snoring. Losing weight, avoiding alcohol before sleep, and sleeping on your side can help. As well as applying Nasal strips, mouthguards or other anti-snoring devices. In some cases, surgery may be necessary to correct the underlying conditions.
