Loved your video, thank you for sharing. Did you book the Tabyana beach and snorkel excursion or the Tabyana beach excursion and just rent snorkel when you got to the beach? Was it booked through NCL?

It was through NCL, John Kutter worked at Grand Roatan which was next door. Can rent masks and fins at either. Tabyana was out so I went next door to Grand Roatan to rent them.

Hi , do you mind telling me how was the food at tabyana? I see it is buffet style, is it all you care to enjoy? Or is its like 1 plate controlled? The beach and snorkeling looks beautiful! Thanks

It was simple food, nothing extravagant but was fine. I think I got seconds. Alcohol drinks cost extra but good prices.

I was researching how to go to Gumbalina Preserve and also snorkel. Looks like the Gumbalina, Tabyana combo is the ticket. Where you able to rent snokle gear on the beach? How far from the reef is the drop off point? Thank you for your help! Loved your video.

yes you can rent gear at either Grand Roatan or Tabiana Beach resort. We swam from shore and headed for the rock just off the beach about 130 feet away. You will see fish the second you look but the reefs were close to shore. Please post here if you saw the same sealife I did. I have been hearing sad stories about reefs.

Do you by any chance remember if the ride to Tabyana Beach was rough? I have read a couple reviews that mention it. I get extremely car sick.

Wasn't rough but a bunch of us in a van was not a highlight of the trip. I think it was about 30 minutes to get there. Ask to sit up front.

Looks you had a private guide for snorkeling - was it part of the package? I am afraid to snorkel alone, I need someone besides me

yeah, that was pretty cool, I used it twice, one for my free included light breakfast then again for a full breakfast. I actually originally had "Rant Cam" segments where I complained about things in a number of short segments but cut them out. I should do a separate video on "What I don't like about Cruises!"

They were not allowed to come up past where the wet sand ends or go into the water. So as you walk to the water they approach you. You will see in my video of Costa Maya we did some shopping from them as they came up to us. They had some great deals.
