大内宿は江戸時代を今に遺す奇跡のような街並み、情緒あふれる茅葺きの宿場町です。
お蕎麦屋さんや見るだけで楽しいお店など30軒以上の茅葺き屋根の民家が並んでいます。
ネギを箸の代わりにして食べる十割そば「ねぎそば」が有名です。
人里離れたこの山里には年間800万人以上の観光客が訪れます。
同時に茅葺屋根の民家で暮らしている人々の生活も垣間見えます。

Ouchi-juku is an emotionally rich thatched-roof inn town that retains its 17th-century streetscape.
More than 30 thatched-roof houses, including soba noodle shops and other fun stores, line the streets here.
"Negi-Soba," a type of juwari soba eaten with green onions in place of chopsticks, is famous.
