In 1951 a severe snowstorm blocked California's Donner Pass, effectively isolating the city of San Francisco. This documentary shows how the crews of the Southern Pacific Railroad worked to clear the tracks through the pass and keep them cleared in order to allow San Francisco to be re-supplied.
