Last 10 days they have been warned. Nobody listened. People just don't care. It is just another opportunity to look at their Instagram or TikTok while they wait for transportation.
.....all while snow plows sit idle in Whistler, only a couple hours away. We probably have more plows and sidewalk clearing equipment than the rest of BC combined, and no one thought to HELP or ask for it?..
Don't drive unless you have a full set of snow tires; carry chains & know how to install them properly. Also brush all the snow off your vehicle. Vancouver drivers just seem to love mixing bad habits with bad weather.
@@shaun1040 Where's the bylaw that states they are illegal? I used them for two weeks straight in 2008 & I've seen a few vehicles using them during this storm. The garbage trucks are all equipped with chains for the alleys.
It is winter, it is Canada. Nothing surprising in this. People can still walk, drivers can drive slower and that is all. For homeless people, it is for the government to take care of them.
The amount of people attempting to drive with underpowered cars and no snow tires or chains is ridiculous. A 15yr civic on all season ms tires isn’t gonna make it through the slush 😂 It’s stupid that chains are illegal in the city. The city doesn’t clear small residential streets, but as far as I’m aware it’s illegal for private contractors or citizens to plow city streets? How are people suppose to leave the residential streets to get onto the semi clear main roads if no one plows, and chains are illegal… 😂
LC. Back in the early 80's they sacred the sheep by saying, the earth is cooling. We are going to run out of food and freeze. Send money. We can fix it. That didn't work. Then they said the earth is heating up. We are going to run out of food. Send money. Then it got tough to explain why, for the first time in recorded history, it snowed where it had never snowed. So now the go-greenies dreamt up another farce. They said let's call it climate change! That way, if the temp goes up, we can say, "We told you so". If it goes down we can say, "We told you so". Got all the bases covered this time! Well, they did get it right. Climate change is real. So real in fact, it have been going on for over four and a half BILLION years. Long before cows were farting!!!!
TFW people from Edmonton complain about 30C+ weather, and I have to deal with 40C+, 90%+ humidity weather every summer without AC lol; and we don't even call it a heatwave. Maybe it's time for y'all to grow up as well lmao.
You shouldn't take cars or trucks out in snow due to government fuel efficiency regulations they are 500 to 1000 lbs lighter nowdays which means that they can't get traction and slide in the snow and ice
We get snow like this every year and I have lived in Vancouver most of my life. I lived in Moncton NB for 3 years and they always cleaned the roads. Our BC govt doesn’t care
