Snow White vs Cinderella: who is the leader of the Disney princesses? Well even though Elsa was queen and has magic, Ariel sings one of my favorite songs of all time Part of Your World, and Rapunzel has one of the grandest and most powerful stories throughout her movie and series, I think the competition for leader falls to the first two heroines that Walt Disney brought to life. Beyond the similarities in their stories though, Snow White and Cinderella also contributed to launching Walt Disney’s career to new heights at different points during his life. Their animated stories haven’t just been around the longest relative to the other princesses; they were integral to not only sustaining the Walt Disney Company.

If it were up to me and my extreme bias, I’d pick Rapunzel for everything. But realistically, Cinderella. Everyone knows Cinderella and there’s an immediate reaction from both young and old when she walks in the room.

Sad that this Channel doesnt handle/explore any more intense themes like Disney being so f-ed up they are proud on Mulan and stand behind Discrimination on Genocide-Level. This cant just be ignored. For several years now, China has been systematically repressing its Uighur Muslim minority in that region - subjecting men, women, and children to torture, sexual abuse, forced sterilization, family separation, and brainwashing, among other horrors. They add to the Chinese government’s other abuses, such as banning expressions of Islamic faith. Even worse, the film credits specifically praise the police security bureau in Turpan, a city in eastern Xinjiang with a large Uighur population.

Snow White has always been my favorite Disney Princess and I never thought of her as passive. She told the Seven Dwarfs to wash their hands or they wouldn’t get any of her cooking. She knew they were lying about washing their hands. Plus she’s the one who told the Seven Dwarfs I can cook and clean if you let me stay. She made that deal because she knew how to do those things which she enjoyed and could also stay alive. The other characters wanting to help her because of her goodness is a superpower itself. Like Cinderella she’s also a victim of child abuse and still remains hopeful, gentle and kind even when her own stepmother the woman who’s supposed to love her and care for her, her only living family member wants her dead. I think a lot of people miss this aspect of Snow White and also Cinderella too when they claim “their weak and passive.” Cinderella is one of my favorite Disney Princesses and I love your videos Issac and I just wanted to give you my thoughts on Snow White!! 💙🍎✨

I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks that snow should be the leader of the princesses and yeah you’re right she called the dwarves out about lying about not washing their hands and when she told them march straight outside and wash or you’ll not get a bite to eat I freaking loved that I’m like yes girl yes I know it seems small and insignificant but it proved that she could stand up for what she believed in

Cinderella is definitely the leader. Snow’s story just wasn’t as strong of a person as Cinderella was. She is one of my favorites of all the princesses, behind Jasmine of course

Even though these princesses aren't real, they played a big part in the formation of Disney and was a big part of my childhood and I'm sure to thousands, maybe millions of other childhoods. Walt Disney was amazing and I'm glad you're actually doing this. I always wondered this too.

As much as I love Cinderella, I'm picking Snow White on this one. She has shown she can take charge, even if it's just to make sure the dwarves wash their hands. Plus she's iconic, so much so that she has her own star on the Walk of Fame (which I'm not sure Cinderella has or not) So I'm team Snow White

Personally I feel like Rapunzel should be it because of the series but between Snow and Cindy, it should be Cinderella. Cinderella showed she could handle extreme circumstances in the third movie and never gave up when times were tough.

It's honestly Cinderella. Cinderella not only has the best story feeling etc.(Not that any other princess does not" cinderella has the popularity for a reason everybody loved her story/movie so muchh that got her to where she was including her obstacles etc. Many don't want cinderella becuase she is technically the main. But that's the reason she's the main she has the best of everything. If that makes any sense. That is why some people just want to choose another princess to try to be a fan of a "underated princess" or one that you guys see does not have any sort of recondition.

I don’t count Cinderella 3 as canon because the prince hardly had any personality aside rolling his eyes at his dad during the ball. The writers had to create a personality for him for the story to actually work. I love her as a character considering how horribly she was treated, yet never complained and always believed one day things would change, like if not for her little friends its possible she would’ve given up on any hope she had a long time ago. I do like how she isn’t even mad at Anastasia for trying to steal her man, but asks her if this is what she really wants or even loves him? My only critique is Cinderella was so determined this was the man she was meant to be with, but Cinderella 3 was only one day, and she doesn’t even learn anything more about the prince himself aside he somehow got on the ship destined to banish her to the New World. I really loved the ending credits song I Still Believe but I feel it doesn’t fit Cinderella and Charming the best because instead of relying on a magical shoe, he relied on a magical touch this time, and geez he even was touching Anastasia as Cinderella and didn’t notice something was wrong or off! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Cinderella, the woman didn’t just survive her circumstances, she had allies and support group. Snow White also showed endurance and ability to gain support and a family that actually cared about her, but she was 14. I’m not dismissing her because of her age, I’m saying she needs more time.

I believe snow whole is the leader of the princesses Not only was she there the longest also because she moved a lot of Animators including Walt Disney which made him more famous in a way and into more animation.

Of the two, though I love them both, I prefer Cinderella, as the stronger, more adult personality. However, the nice thing is, we don't really have to choose between them. Both ladies, and both films, as different as they are, nevertheless both delightful in their own ways.

You know, it's nice that Isaac does videos like this. It's kinda hard to find someone who does videos as optimistic as he does since usually, people mainly do theories that ruin these movies. (No hate to them, just stating that people mainly do those type of vids nowaday) It's nice that someone makes the movies even more enthusiastic than they already are.

I DO agree with you that Cinderella should be the leader of the Disney princesses....for ALL the reasons you mentioned. I would say though that while Snow comes off as a more passive character, I think she and Cinderella are both strong in their own ways. Snow doesn't allow her stepmother to break her gentle and kind spirit and when she finds the Dwarves cottage, she takes on a mother-like role for them and in turn, she inspires them (for example, Grumpy) to be their best selves. Grumpy initially was very untrusting of women and he didn't want to help Snow White.....but as they were leaving for work, its GRUMPY who warns her to be careful and watch out for the queen and when the animals come to tell the Dwarves she is in danger, it is Grumpy (not Doc, the leader) who leads the charge to go save her.

I have always seen Cinderella as the maternal princess saying to all the others "All right girls this is how you do it". I worked in retail with a lot of Disney Princess merchandise and when the lineup was presented Cinderella was at the front every time. Also this was when Tiana was the newest addition.

I agree. Cinderella is the leader of the Disney Princess franchise, although she is extremely underrated amd mistreated by Disney (especially her movie restoration being the worst ever...) Sure Snow White was the first but Cinderella overshadowed her and improved everything Snow White was as a character... Also she is the icon for Disney Magic, Disney princesses and Disney Fairytales in general. Cinderella is the most popular fairytale of all time and all over the world. It has been adapted a gazillion times into different stories like Pretty Woman or Maid in Manhattan. Her legacy is definitely bigger and more impactful.

I think snow white should we give them some more slack because I think It’s well known a lot of stuff was left on the cutting room floor because they didn’t know how to properly animated realistic human characters yet why do you think the three realistic human characters to get very little screen time compared to the rest of the cast

Fun Fact: Snow White and Cinderella actually shared voices at one point as Ilene Woods, the voice of Cinderella, actually voiced Snow White for a 1949 audio book version of story, and the Evil Queen in that story in that audio book was voiced by Elenor Audley, who voiced Cinderella's villain Lady Tremaine, which means that with this she has voiced all three of the original Disney Princess Villains, The Evil Queen, Lady Tremaine, and Maleficent.

Walt Disney's movie adaptations of Snow White, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty are the definitive film adaptations of those fairytales. Especially Snow White and Cinderella had a huge impact on how pop culture views those stories,and a lot of details that Walt Disney added to his adaptations like love's first kiss or Cinderella's father dying at the beginning of Cinderella are synonymous with these stories despite the fact that in their original writing version those details are not present.

A few coincidences Adriana Caselotti (the voice of Snow White) was born in 1916, Ilene Woods (the voice of Cinderella) was born in 1929, this is a 13 year difference Snow White was released in 1937, Cinderella was released in 1950, this is a 13 year difference Adriana Caselotti died in 1997, Ilene Woods died in 2010, this is a 13 year difference

Cindy will always be the leader (she was also Walts favorite) cuz everyone can relate with Rags to Riches tale. Its also the most worldwide known fairytale Disney adopted. Also Disney used castle as a logo & park trademark. I know their first castle belongs to Aurora, but its the Cinderalla one which overtook the world. It was place of Cindys hope, dreams & were eventually her dream did come true. Not to mention that horse, carriage & fairy became a standard in LITERALLY 80% cartoons featuring a princess, also a standard doll set you would buy to a little girl. HOWEVER For the 2nd place, I would give it to Belle - she is among the most realistic D girls, the only one with a brown hair (most natural hair color - so ofc appealing to largest group of western population) & the first one who truly had a brain. She didn't have love at first sight, her relationship grew over time. So yes, Belle goes to 2nd But in terms of real popularity, list is like this for almost 10 yrs already: Cindy/Elsa no1 (adults prefer Cindy, younger ones Elsa), Ariel 2nd & Belle 3d - and wherever you look at, their products are always a bit more pricey than the rest of DP group

For me, Cinderella is the leader. Sure, Snowhite was the first and has the largest box office success, but let's face it, Cinderealla is the leader. Whenever you see a Disney Princess Merch, Cinderella is the most often to be seen in the middle. Snowhite is too nice that I imagine her being like a subtitute to Cinderella while Cindy has a hidden badass side of her, as seen in her third movie. In the awarding of Disney Legends including the Disney Princesses acting/singing voices, Jodi Benson(Ariel), Annika Noni Rose(Tiana) Paige O'Hara (Belle) and Lea Salonga(Jasmin/Mulan) they sang "A Dream is A Wish Your Heart Makes" whichis from Cinderella. I agree in all your points, Isaac! The castle was even inspired by Cinderella and she was Walt's favorite. I even became an Disney Princess fan then to overall Disney fan because of Cinderella. Snowhite came first but Cinderella had a bigger impact to Walt. Cinderella was the leader and I looked up to her so much! Everything you said is what is going through my mind. On the other hand, Snowhite looks so innocent and she dreamed of a prince too much where Cinderella is has mature morals and she is fell inlove without knowing, it is a prince. She never dreamed of him, her dream was different, it was just fulfilled through the prince. If we're talking about filmaking, it's Snowhite but in terms of franchise, it's Cinderella.

I was hoping you would say Cinderella! 😄 I may be bias since Cinderella is my everything, but even before she was my favourite, I kind of always saw her as not only the leader of the Disney Princesses, but the symbol of Walt Disney’s whole brand (other than Micky) so yeah I agree with everything you said. 😊 I also think Cinderella represents fairytales in general as her usually the one people think of when they think of fairytales. 😊

i mean, regardless of who ur favorite is, Cinderella is the epitome of a disney princess. it wouldn't make much sense to have anyone else. She's just THE disney princess. I like that there are other good reasons for it too, but in my mind that is for sure the reason that matters the most.

Both represent beautifully the magic of fairy tales, but it's also very interesting how in Cinderella's story it's more "big city" kinda tale she is located where most people are and where most things happen but it's locked up inside, while Snow White is forced out of her home and the story has more of a nature, forest cottage core vibe. Well for me it is Snow White. She has and will always be my favorite princess✨💙🍎💙✨ Because i like how even though she went through alot things, it didnt take her Down and she still remained being a kind and caring person. I can relate alot to her and Cinderella But mostly Snow White. I really didnt relate with any of the others. Because i been there in a simalar situtation. She is one of My biggest motivation to keep going on with my life with a smile. My favorite quote is “Remenber, you’re the one who can fill the world with sunshine.” In My opinion they can both in their own ways lead the princesses.

I think since it's the first full length animated movie, they don't want to ruin its name with a live action or maybe it's because they won't be able to get a actor with a similar voice to the animated one. The voice actor was paid to never voice act again but of her iconic voice to stay in snow white and only snow white.

I remember a show called House of Mouse when there’s an episode when Pete dressed up as Snow White and giving Mickey, Minnie and the other some treats that looked like apples (I don’t remember much of that episode, it was when I was a kid how everything was cool and all) and once they fall asleep there was Pluto, the only one who didn’t pretty much fall for Pete’s disguise, that’s when Snow White came in and she was pretty upset of what Pete has done, so she gave Pluto something to wake up the employees which I remember it funny and cute at the same time. I wish the show could come back again, though it has some weird moments, I still loved it no matter what

I’d say Cinderella considering she was actually Walt’s favorite character because how much he resonated with her, especially considering WW2 occurring. I personally don’t believe in a leader of the princesses because that makes it sound like all the others aren’t as great and that flat out isn’t true. Each princess stands out in her own way. My personal favorites are Pocahontas and Rapunzel because they’re both tough women and I feel in certain aspects their stories are similar. Yes Cinderella is an amazing woman considering in the sequels she even helps Anastasia with her happily ever after and doesn’t hold any grudges. Its ironically the hair of her ballgown that kinda ruined it for me. Plus her prince for me is easily my least favorite because of how little he actually did in the original and especially part 2, and part 3 the writers had to give him more personality to make the story work, and no I don’t count he loves her even as a former scullery maid when the ball was his dad’s doing

I have to say that I always enjoyed the Cinderella movie more then Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. Bias aside. Cinderella is more of a leader and a role model. She took it upon herself to make a dress for the ball, was compassionate and kind to those around her, she was hardworking, and she stood up for herself. While Snow White was kind and compassionate, her circumstances created her story. She also took poisonous food from a complete stranger who was supposedly just randomly taking a walk in the woods. I just feel like Cinderella’s the better role model for little girls and has a more interesting story.

When I was little, my favourite movie was Cinderella. I realized when I was older, in conjunction with my dislike of horror movies, that Cinderella was the one movie that didn't have any "scary" moments. Think about it. The climax of every other Disney movie at the time (around 1993) would have been scary to a 5-year-old. This is coming from somebody who saw The Lion King (original) in theatre.

Can you do a video about a Beauty and the Beast theory if Gaston's reputation was severely damaged to majority of the villagers after the events of Beauty and the Beast? Because in the opening scene of Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas, everyone of the village came to the castle to celebrate Christmas with Belle and Prince Adam, but I think that only LeFou and Gaston's "buddies" do not attend the Christmas party in film due they are the only ones in the village who remained faithful to Gaston and his "legacy".

In the end of the Cinderella movie that came out recently I just cried my eyes out for how heartwarming plus end the end credits with the song together was so beautiful, sweet and heartwarming my eyes just couldn't stop crying out............ I agree! Snow White is a great Princess for her time but she never really did anything, everything was pretty much done to her and for her. Cinderella on the other hand takes an active role in her life, even as she was met with so many setbacks she continued to strive to better her life. 👍✌️🙏❤️
