Eatchel gives the biggest attack buff in the game. The only downside is that her buffs take some time to build up, but in longer fights, she excels as a buffer. M1 gives her 2 paws that are permanent and do not decay as long as no one drops below 30% HP and she has a kinetic weapon. Those 2 paws do in fact buff her healing because her heals also scale off her attack, which the paws provide. M2 reduces ult cooldown. Not too notable. M3 provides a damage boost for each paw. Due to M1, the team is getting a free 6% damage boost on top of the attack boost you're already getting. M4 increases the attack buff that each paw provides M5 gives another paw, thus further increasing the attack buff she gives M1 is very good and highly, highly recommended. Her support skill also has some use in jump starting her sig weapon buff to burst an initial phase of a fight. It also makes her the best stunning unit as she provides built in buffs unlike the other operatives with stun capabilities. Her ultimate isn't meant to deal amazing damage. It's just meant for obtaining paws, which is where her massive attack buff is. If you're trying to use her as a main dps, then mobbing with her standard skill is where she will have the most use in that role. But using her ultimate is critical to maximizing her buff. Intentionally not using it is just nerfing oneself. The reason her sig weapon buffs her ult damage is to make it easier to obtain max paws. If you want faster access to her ult for her big attack buff while sacrificing the strength of that attack buff and her healing, Xinye logis can be used. That's quite a few attack boosting sources. So her manifests do in fact, increase her healing and increase her's and her team's attack, thus increasing the damage output of both. The paws her ultimate gives also scale based off her attack the moment they are made. Since her ultimate puts Lux logis at max stacks and if her weapon buff is fully active when she ults, that's a huge attack buff. Eatchel is a healer and attack buffer who excels at longer fights and allows many mechanics to be ignored. If you want any support to have decent performance as a dps, they'll need investment. That's the nature off using something outside of its role. The main thing is that we don't have enough longer fights for her to truly shine. Most boss fights are over in seconds. I've used Eatchel both as a dps and a support in various content since she came out. Her dps capabilities are expected of a character who's role is to support. Kaguya and Mauxir perform far worse as dps than Eatchel does, yet I see a lot of people asking for a Eatchel's attack to be buffed. If you want Eatchel to dps, following the "supports as a dps need investment" thing I mentioned, you'll want her sig 5* weapon. Btw, Eatchel with her sig weapon and 5 paw buff can put her total attack over 8k. That's a lot of attack If you just want a healbot, yeah go for T1M0 Eatchel. But all of her manifestations aside from M2 contribute to her and her team's damage. M1 is what you want at the very least.

talking about Eatchel, okay... I want her to be buffed, because it's crazy how badly she's perceived by the playerbase. you either have the school of thought that says "she's bad, because she's not good at speedruns" or the ones who go "she is the optimum comfort pick". it's crazy how she gets stacked in tier lists considering her position as a limited 5. covering her kit, she has 3 main roles in an optimized game state. 1- healer, and we all know she's great at it. 2- Buffer- she has the longest duration buffs, but questionable places to apply them. 3- part breaker, as a niche use. I have ideas to improve all of these, but the issue is i don't know whats to much. my goal is to raise her general tier assumption from her common third row placement to a second row. As a bonus, I do want to use her as my on field character, so some of my decisions are affected by that. Change #1- Lux Squad. Winter fleece should not be removed by any skill except her support use. opening up maintaining full winter fleece even during her on field use would let her be more viable as an on field role, and she could use her standard skill without lowering her overall healing rate on top of her current role as swapping in to ulti and backing out in most optimize comps. Change #2- damage increase, though i don't know how much she'd be affected by attack specifically. I'm not sure exactly how or where, but especially considering her position as a limited 5, why not? it would help her partbreaker role and on field use as well as synergy with Lapis Lazuli if it is an attack buff for those who can't get blitzing fangs Change #3- allow her buffs to also apply to something beyond attack earlier. part of why Eatchel is lower rated as a support is because she suffers from similar problems Tess suffers, in that she buffs one part of the damage formula a good deal, but it's gated by both being behind her ulti for full effectiveness, and to up her damage output as a support it's better to have multiple points of manipulation. while an M3 eatchel does have some damage buff on top of attack, the ulti gating made her optimal combos as of a few months ago with characters who just were losing on the competitive angle, like Hush and Swift. a points been made that Eatchel may become more useful the longer boss fights go on, as she also suffers ramp up time for her full effectiveness with her sig, but giving her another buff element she bolsters, such as crit damage or shred, tired as thats becoming since Kaguya and now Starshine with Sig can do it would greatly help her buffs have more bite. maybe even just reworking the manifestations and dragging M3's effect down to M2 would help. appending certain buffs in the calc would sadly also tilt her overall value to one type of DPS or another, whereas now she's a generalists role, but altering some additional part of the damage calc with new things she buffs, especially if said new buff shares her current uptimes, could be massive especially in the longer encounters. Its weird to me how lorewise her actual kit doesn't seem to line up in my eyes since her burning flame could have been a shred source, but here's my thoughts on what could possibly be done. all of this was shooting the breeze.

Eatchel will be very useful in the future as I am anticipating a power creep in year 1.5. So like what this channel always advise us, invest in Support as DPS is volatile.

I absolutely love Eatchel and I use her all the time. I can see your point but she is great. I would prefer they buff her attack.

i would do a buff to all supports, like the new fenny, to be more involved and allowing us to be able to use them in content instead of being seen some seconds after using their support skills.

The problem is not on Eatchel or other healers, the problem is that the game provides too many cheap heals. There should be more game modes like Jotun tunnel where heals are scarce and important.

This is because Eatchel v1 had the bulk of her healing and buffs tied to the ultimate. She totally sucked like that, so Eatchel v2 now has the amazing constant healing support skill. I agree with your point about the manifestations, but tbh I'm happy with her as she is. All I wanted Eatchel for was a healer, and her new healbot role turns all content into easy mode.

Also: I personally think Eatchel's design is completely messed up. There's not even a hint in the story that she's a healer; she seems much more like a skill based attacker, especially with her powered up mode. It's too late now, but imo Enya should have been the healbot, and Eatchel should have been more similar to Cherno.

I didnt like her rework at all. Her healing was originally fine, But they have now over buffed it.. The problem with her was her DPS values needed to be buffed. But it got ignored. She didnt need to have the best healing, she was intended to be a hybrid. She could of been a great substain DPS character. But they blew it. Eatchel is nothing but a healiing bot now. Doesnt even match her personality. Imagine a titagen experiment, for years in a secret lab... just to be a healer. She has the wild beast theme too.

They need to add more difficult content that would require healing.

Seasun already done that by adding nascent wooden but suddenly they nerf it by decreasing their dmg and reduced teleport.
