I bought and tried one when they first came out, kept it less than an hour. Went back to garage, sold it and never looked back. Thanks for another great review! Cheers!
Personally the game needs better stat system for the tires as not all offroad tires are the same. I remember looking at datamined stats for the tires before, I don't remember what all of them are but I do remember the mud values on a few of them. OHD II & III = 1.5 UOD I & III = 1.5 ANK Tires = 1.7 OHD I (P16 lookalikes) = 1.9 UOD II (old MudRunner tire) = 1.9 TMHS I (Tayga tire) = 2.4 Offroad chained = 1.5 One thing I've noticed, if you look at all offroad chained tires, you'll never see chains on the OHD I or UOD II. They only ever put chains on the offroad tires with the worst mud values. From what I've seen the worst mud tire starts at a 2.0. So at a 1.9 OHD I or UOD II are basically the same as a mud tire stat wise. I guess according to the game anything in the 1.5-1.9 range is seen as "Good" while 2.0 or higher is seen as "Excellent". At the moment in my game I'm more going for style over performance, so I'm looking for tires that look more like a proper offroad tire. So the two sets I've settled on are OHD I (1.9 stats) and UOD III (1.5 stats). And I can tell you this when you get into the mud, you can definitely feel the difference in the trucks running the OHD I tires compared to the trucks that run the UOD III tires. Both sets are within the range of being "good", both sets may ultimately get you to the same spot in the end, but the OHD I definitely got more grip and chews though the mud at a faster pace then the UOD III. The chained tires physics are weird though. When I was doing Zimnegorsk Mud Trail Time Trials there where a few times I got faster times with chained. Chains feel like they dig into mud more them offroad, sometimes that digger in helps you, other times it doesn't. But by all technical accounts, chained tires should be worse in mud.
It has a lack of tires. Those all terrain chains are nothing compared to other stuff. Plus the revs are just not there sometimes. It is, however, a speed demon. And it's a thirsty boi. There's just something about your reviews that make so much more sense than other reviews on RU-vid. You can't be beat. Keep it up👍
If you put the offroad tires on the boar instead of chained it turns into a Jeff special monster. I think it’s worth checking out the offroad tires. It may effect it positively in other areas too.
No kidding about it being thirsty! Emboldened by the 300 litres tank I tried the fine tune gearbox on it but quickly realised that I could hardly drive across the street anymore before running out of fuel. If you take the Azov 7 and pull the BOAR through mud or snow this fuel-guzzling monster will actually run out of fuel first.
I tried it long enough to figure out I didnt care for it. WAYYYYY too expensive for what it can do. It's only fast when it isn't pulling a load and the tire selection is terrible. No mud tire options? WTF were they thinking? The Tayga runs off and hides from it, much less one of the many modded trucks.
I think the diffs really let the boar down. Even when you lock them they still spin unevenly. I think because the ramped flatbed is heavier now and digs in more as you’ve found in your previous tests. I do like the boar but the devs are annoying and had to give it bad tires and fiddle with the engine.
I had high hopes for this one, but it seems that is totally lackluster. Guess that the only one I care now is the long paystar. No rush to start wisconsin yet. I´ll keep using my blue camo nosey kolob then! hehe, now with the new suspention, does the nose-less kolob worth a try?
@@TimostrategytheMoth Shame on me, I´m taking my sweet time to finish Yukon. so I didn´t went to grab the new trucks. I used to be up to date on the current releases, but I took some time after Kola region. Will look forward to try them all, but I tend to avoid none AWD trucks, Except P16 I need to rebuy that one! hehe
Why do you use chain tires they suck for mud All chained tires in the game have a mud stat of 1.1 - 1.3 meanwhile simple offroad tires have 1.2 - 1.9 (3.5 for Pacific P16) For reference the base MHS1 Mudtires have a mud stat of 2 and Tayga Balloon tires have 2.4
testing the semi tractor with a towable trailer is nonsense. when you tested the Kolob 74941, you did it with the Zikz 5368 attached to it, that had had a blue sideboard semitrailer
I'd like your opinion. Devs from an upcoming game had asked me to find out if RU-vidrs and Streamers would like a game mode specifically designed for them. They intend to make it easier and faster paced for that particular group so they could show off more of the game. Would you personally consider such a game mode a cheat and be reluctant to use it. There is no wrong answer and you are already on their list to receive a game code so any answer is fine. I'm just here to cut and paste your answer and send it to them. Thanks and as always, good vid. P.S. I don't work for any game company and don't have the power to grant game keys.
