This video is kind of irrelivent in terms of offroad testing atleast because at that time Boar only had UOD tires but now it can have better OHD tires thus Boar now can perform even better in mud than whats shown in video.

You forgot one thing. The P16 can destroy nearby fenches just with it horn.

It's very tempting this P16 until the lack of AWD in some deep mud and/or snow just kills it, great for pulling, great traction, great engine power, just that one mud pit where it can just stop and that's it. Still, if AWD was added to the P16 it would just be virtually unstoppable.

Oh I'm loving the horn on that P16.

Pacifics are a Canadian truck built by a couple guys who used to work at the Hayes truck factory. Another Canadian truck manufacturer but Hayes went out of business because their trucks were too good never broke down hardly and they weren’t selling new parts lol

The people who loves the the P16 definitely is still playing on easy maps like Michigan and Alaska. Late Taymyr maps and most of the DLC maps, especially Imandra and Amur will eat the P16 for breakfast,lunch and dinner.

The P16 handles the weight better, and has the best low eng torque. But the boar takes the cake for speed and overall versatility

P16 all the way! got stuck On a steep hill with the Boar, even on LO it wouldn't budge. switched up to the P16 and went up like it was flat ground... I love the game, but when the medium trucks outpower the heavies, there is something wrong in their math... for a test, tried the Step 310E and it outpowered the Boar, it was quite funny.

After wisconsin maps, you have to add "Rocks on the road" run on the tests.. dying to know wich truck can handle those roads best

I just can't seem to like the p16. Idk it struggles too much on the hills. On the other side it got the best tires for mud. Boar is a great truck for logging, it's compact and so you can have a nice turning radius. On the other hand it doesn't have mudtires unfortunately...

In my testing i found that the pacific fairs better when in auto

Strange the P16 got stuck in deep mud, I remember hauling the largest trailer in the game through this mud without any issue

I just picked up the p16 on my hard campaign. It's the best thing I have currently but I def want AWD

I feel like the P16 for the deep swamp, shallow mud and deep water should have been set to medium low since it would match the low range of the Boar better.

I think now boar got new offroad tires, same as derry longhorn ones. They might be better now. Also a thrid competitor with derry longhorn (the one you rescue) could have been dope :p

I would love to see the comparison of ‘logging crane+log carrier rear’ capable trucks. To my knowledge, only the International Paystar 5600TS and Pacific P12 are capable of this role (oh and of course the Pacific P512 PF but I ignored it due to the lack of AWD and general performance :/ )

The trick here with the stats is that the P16 may show worse power/weight, but it also is a fair bit heavier than the BOAR (despite looking smaller) thank old heavy metal Pacific truck building for that. If the P16 were as light as the BOAR it would outpace the Tatarin offroad

The pure love of the p16(Godzilla) is all i need that truck and its horn do all i need it to mines only been stuck once and it was my error in turning silly the truck itself slowly made it anyhow no winch.

The p16 has never flipped over for me 1 time for a mission. But the first mission I try to do with the Boar it flips over

Looks like P16's only real advantage is it's tires. If you could mount these on other trucks, P16 would be obsolete.

The Boar is almost perfect, much better than the P16, just hate when the snout gets stuck in holes and the winch is the only tool that can take it out.

The BOAR is pathetic off-road and in mud. We've been given a good looking truck, for a map that has deep mud.... But the truck sucks in deep mud. Complete disappointment. And there's no mud tire options either only off-road..... Disappointment.

Boar has a bouncing suspension, which makes it bad in mud.

Based on these tests alone... I don't see any reason to choose the Pig over the Pacific, except maybe appearance and the cute horn. Even its AWD seems to be offset by the bad tires.

In conclusion: The Boar is overall a more agile if slightly less powerful version of the p16. If doing anything over more bumpy terrain or on icy roads the boar will work better. P16 for everything else

The answer is simple: P16 needs AWD. And even with all of this , I think everybody will agree that one is russian legend, one American lehend, but all of us love the P16

Tires and AWD aside, many heavy trucks in game are lacking more powerfull engines. A real pitty.

The kolob is a better heavy hauler than both of them.

Более прыткий и с "горячей головой" ,но опыта в сравнении с настоящим мужиком - нет. Да и гудит П16 так, что мне встать из-за уважения охото :D . А вот с двиглом у П16 реально проблема. Ну не хватает этой туше движка помощнее. Или полного привода. Хер с ним с приводом-фишка у него такая, но двигло очень слабое. Он сам по себе весит 25 тонн . Все же мой выбор п16 . Не знаю, ну вот нравится он мне капец как !

Personally I'll still pick the p16 and here is why. It was also made for ultra heavy logging operations. Plus when upgraded it can best anything in the game with a load behind it. Even stock it's very capable as the real one was. The reason you might have problems with it is the gearing and no awd. The advanced special gearbox is designed around the gearing provided for them irl. And trust me it was geared way lower then any other truck in the game. The truck not having awd is also accurate as in a logging operation there would be no reason to take power off of the back wheels when that's where all the weight is being carried. It may be slow but the torque at the wheels caused by the gearing and no awd still makes it the best in the game. When you have weight on those back tires nothing can stop it. The boar is good overall but suffers from high gearing which eats away it's performance on a load and I can't remember it having difflock Which is another problem. Diff > awd any day aswell Compairing trucks on their speed at doing stuff rather then capability of doing the task sometimes is the wrong way to grade them. The hill climb proves my point on the gearing. When doing a mission it's about getting there easily and not just fast. The deeper mud tests also prove my point as the reason the p16 got stuck is thanks to the weird physics around those trees in the road. Awd trucks don't have a problem with those because of that yet the fact the p16 does what it can is all thanks to how well it was designed as a truck. If you want the ultimate truck for the game pick up the jbe p16. You will never need another truck after that

I wish Boar had optiono f bigger wheels. Not only it would help it permorm better, the small wheels just look so puny on such large truck.
