Definitely a clear day and a great training opportunity. Great looking day. Nice show shoes - They tend to be getting smaller these days - Any thoughts on this?
I have now tried a few different styles, and these seem pretty good for my sort of terrain. They are the XL model of the Tubbs Flex VRT , 28 inch? long with a lot of metal for walking on steep iced inclines. I got the 28 over the 24 because they were on sale mostly, but also some extra load capacity. These are more narrow and easier to walk with than my previous ones. The models with a tubular frame and fabric between are much better on powder snow, but I mostly fear sliding down the mountainside due to ice 😂
Going out for a two hour one in hilly forest but flattened trails. And it is snowing! I have to get cross country skis soon! Are avalanches a risk there Fredrik? I'm thinking of upgrading to TUBBS. They good for you? Spectacular. Thanks for sharing
Thanks, Huples! Make your self a hand drill fire while out there 🤪Tubbs are very popular here in Norway, and they seem pretty solid. They make two style, the tubular frame and the plastic. For your terrain tubular would be more suitable I believe. Not much avalanche danger in this terrain, but in other places I am more careful and check the warnings before heading out.
