Snowy Owl Invasion 

I so love owls but these snowy owls are true gems of nature! Thank you for the close up look.... beautiful.

Just saw my first Snowy Owl today at Little Talbot Island state park near Jacksonville, FL. Only the 3rd confirmed sighting in Florida. A great life bird to add and right in my backyard!

I just could not help but to snicker when I saw some of their faces since I've seen similar looks from humans before their morning coffee. XD

Well, for those in the southern portions of the United States, we could have bird feeders, and make a small habitat for SnowOwl packs. This will give a nice natural attraction, and possibly help in a small amount to prevent these birds from going instinct.

Such a beautiful animal, we have an Animal Ambassador named Yeti, he's a snowy owl who meets with kids in schools and at community events to inspire them to take action to protect biodiversity. Snowy owls are so astoundingly beautiful that everyone that meets Yeti can't help but be awed by the wonders of nature.

Does that mean dogs and cats too? I don't know why you're going on so about this with me? All I said was I wish I had one. And you're making a big to do about nothing. I'm only one person what about the other 9 million ppl. I believe God made animals for our pleasure as dogs and cats make ppls blood pressure go down. And they are comfortable with us. Get on the 9 +ppl. And I'll keep wishing I had one since when did a wish hurt an animal? Or a person for that matter?

How do these birds avoid overheating in warmer climes, especially when they're so well-insulated?

i saw one in new york city, on the top edge of a highrise building. some seagulls were harassing it. he casually reached out and grabbed one, and ate it. about 15 years ago. it was bigger than i had thought from books. five years earlier, i saw one on a distant fencepost in a field in hopewell, NJ. it never moved. both sightings were late january.

Awesome !! I live on Vancouver Island, and watching the news, saw the report on the "Owl Invasion " in Ladner , on the mainland. Why didn't they stop here for a visit ?? The only one I've ever seen in the wild, was in Manitowadge Ontario, when I lived there in '70-'71. Beautiful , and awe inspiring experience !!

Such a magnificent raptor. When I host my Snowy Owl Photography Workshops in Ontario Canada guests have the opportunity to Snowy Owl Wildlife Models. They are simply amazing photographed in their natural environments and it saves stressing these owls in nature.

A snowy owl was just down the road often on the same powerpole….watching the grassy field for food…..it was there for two years.. but havent seen it since..this was around 2010.’its 2023 now but I have moved since then so maybe its still hanging around! The snowy owl was in west michigan about five miles from Lake Michigan in muskegon county.

We have an immature male snowy owl in Jasper County, Mo., in far southwest Missouri who has been here for about a month. I've seen him and photographed him three times. I'd video him, but I don't have nearly the equipment this person has. Beautiful job.

I live on Vancouver Island, apparently there were sightings, alas, I missed their appearance. I did see one when I lived in northern Ontario, but that was some 40 yrs. ago. I am thirsty for another visitation. Wonderful video. Thank you.

Amazing video! We saw them in Smithville Lake, MO. However, an article in the newspaper explained these owls are starving. The four snowy owls that were killed in KS and MO by cars and train were very low in weight. Is there a way to help them and feed them?

They're such beautiful animals, probably the best looking birds on the planet I reckon. I remember the delightful sight the first time I saw them for real at the raptors center in Vermont, 1998.
