It is hard to imagine a more stupid or more dangerous way of making decisions than by putting those decisions in the hands of people who pay no price for being wrong Thomas Sowell
I agree with David Starkey: one of these reasons for British political stability and patriotism is because our aristocracy always had skin in the game: our ruling classes always threw their own offspring into foreign wars and not the lower orders alone....
It's worse than that. They only pay a price if they endorse liberty. And they can see that. From Germany to USA. So long as they hide behind the cloak of "safety" they can and have destroyed us.
@@robertmoore1061 Carl Hennegan, Sunita Guptra, Ivor Cummins, Dr Mike Yeadon, John Ioannidis and Prof Livermoore, who are most definitely scientific experts in human disease and epidemiology, have been advocating this natural herd immunity from the outset with the most vulnerable shielding themselves if they so wish. What's in it for DD ? Why would someone tip him off rather than a Scottish Westminster mp ? The woman supposedly connected to his information has said he's talking rubbish . It's an election year in Scotland and SNP were set to win a thumping majority , and hopefully still will , it's a pity unionist parties have so little to offer that they resorted to this.

Travellers thoroughly deserve their reputation, in one northern town where elderly people had been defrauded out of large sums of money for sub standard and grossly over priced work, 97% of those subsequently arrested were travellers. And this kind of reprehensible behaviour is prevalent wherever these degenerates choose to congregate.
What “Scottish” press? With the exception of The National, all the papers up here are just subsidiaries of their English counterparts - e.g. Scottish Daily Mail, Scottish Daily Express, etc. And they are all very openly unionist.
@@lucasduncan1082 The National is not a news paper, along with the daily ( retard ) Record, both SNP propaganda mouthpieces are nothing but bum-fodder. The most effective way is to vote in May however I think the SNP will still take a majority sadly. Even afer Nicola Sturgeon was found tonight to have misled parliament. Truley sad.
I reckon that the best thing for you and the rest of the VichyScots is to pack your bags and go live where you feel more comfortable. That would be a win for you and a win for Scotland.
In my home town in East Cheshire a bunch of so called Irish Travellers came over from Nottinghamshire and held a Roman Catholic funeral in the Weslyan Chapel (I don't know why) not the catholic church. They took over the centre of the town parking their SUVs on double yellow lines, bocking the streets. The 2 local policeman were powerless to do anything about them, or the drinking on the street. There was an unpleasant atmosphere about the place. The funeral was for someone whose family had 9 members sent to prison in the Nottingham Crown Court for operating modern day slavery.
I too live in Cheshire, some travelers here have bulldozed a green field, surfaced it and now it house 30 caravans and has a power supply...all without planning. One rule for them, no enforcement because of PC nonsense. If I so much as put a greenhouse up with PP I would be told to tear it down....

Love Lord Sumption. It's strange that no one dares to mention the half billion dollars the Gates foundation donated to the main stream media. It has obviously hijacked the narrative and terrorized the public.
This nonsense will run until 6 May and the good people of Scotland will speak loudly and the hate filled Yoons will get trounced. The Tories will then be reduced to begging their English pals to make mischief on their behalf, oh wait that's the low level they're already at !!!
Concerning Travellers, take pubs as an example, everytime they're let in what happens, they end up hassling people, attacking people and fighting among themselves... without exception. And people wonder why they get banned!?

And I think that Conservative MP’s for Scotland should now be following David Davies’ lead and exercising their PP in the matter of the SNP and Nicola Sturgeon. My MP here in the Scottish Borders is John Lamont Cons. and an ex MSP. I look forward to his support for David’s position before the election process starts up here.
In Scotland a lot of this has been discussed, Wings Over Scotland, Gordon Dangerfield, Yours for Scotland , Craig Murray for example . However the coverage on msm is conspicuous by its absence or skewed towards Sturgeon
I love these conversational interview discussions. They allow the person being interviewed the time to properly answer the questions put to them. Andrew Neil is a bastion of well researched, fair but hard hitting journalism. Accountability on “both sides” is key to debate and he understands this. All mainstream channels should try taking a lead out of his book.👌🥊x
And he seems to have a proper mic! So happy he’s clear and easy to hear, that’s my only comment I’d make about this show, sometimes I struggle to hear with laptop mics being used or similar.
Yes the lockdown approach has been taken my a majority of governments but I remember a TED talk entitled “Why is the majority always wrong?”. Perhaps many governments were fearful of not following like sheep.
We are talking Pontins!! lol. It's not the Savoy ffs. Travellers money, is as valuable as anyone elses. How RACIST. I am not a Traveller, but defend their rights to go where ever anyone else can.
@@lizscott6911 if you'd had your establishment wrecked by travellers you may not be quite as keen to gallop into this on your high horse. Besides, a bit classist of you to mention Savoy in such esteem and Pontins with a sneer. Hypocrisy? Go out set up accommodation for travellers for a couple of months and then report back to the committee 👍
@@rightmatt Pontins is where we holidayed with our 4 children, many moons ago. so I am far from elitists. If any group trash anything that belongs to someone else. Take them to Court and claim damages. That goes for everyone.
@@lizscott6911 I don't even know what Pontins is tbh (was hoping I could get away with that bit of ignorance) Just couldn't help point out that double standard. Dealing with travellers is v hard and costly. On a personal level, where money isn't involved it's much easier. I have some experience.
The Irish travellers thing is a tricky one. Having grown up and lived a lot of my life in Ireland, I've had to be muscle at a shop to prevent people shoplifting whenever travellers came (occasionally remove stolen goods from a car for that matter!) and I was never needed to do that otherwise, but I've also known travellers who were great people. I don't see how discriminating against the latter is helpful yet that there is a concern there is understandable. There are travellers and then there are _travellers_ and the latter is what they are known for as a group.
Reference Neil's comment on being "polite about the shadow cabinet". Poor Keir Starmer. He isn't exactly spoiled for choice is he? Once upon a time the Labour Party fielded parliamentary candidates that had life experience, had real jobs, were passionate in their beliefs and were capable of calling the government to account but not any more. Sadly this is what happens when the box tickers are allowed to select the candidates.
Travellers and camp sites. I will try to be diplomatic. There are cultural differences or societal norms that differ between some travellers and other holiday campers. These differences can cause non-travellers' holidays to be impacted negatively. I doubt this is the intention but where a camp site has a reputation as a place for where travellers go, people avoid it.
The Lovely Jonathan Sumption, the Only Person speaking Any Sense throughout this exagerated histeria. The Gvt should have listened to him 12 months ago.
Another great show, thank you Andrew. As always, discussing in a balanced view the things the so called "mainstream" are not. I was wondering what was happening with Sturgeon, now I know :-)
I believe the Spectator will retain a lot of goodwill from the Scots opposed to SNP oppression, collusion and dismantling of Scotland’s prowess in education and industry. I will play and pay my part if Spectator continues to fight this illegal Crown office support to suppress fair journalism to inform the Scottish public. You have our commitment in this. Thank you for doing what your remit is, keeping us informed.
If the quality of this interview can be the benchmark for GB TV news reporting and analysis then I am anticipating a massive success when Andrew Neil and his colleagues go live later this year. HURRY UP ANDREW.
the reality is that after travelers rolled up nearby, numerous folk had garages & sheds opened, but notably little taken. There was however massive disruption in the small town at local pubs at night. It was only after some 5 weeks after they left that all the thefts took place. They're not so stupid as to do while 'on site', but that's why people object to them. Police proved very reluctant to confront them & it is highly doubtful if anyone saw any of their property again. Travelers is a total misnomer to many of these groups. This group had untaxed flatbed vans but also top of the range 4x4s & mobile homes. Obviously they do rather well from their travels
Before these journalists doing the bidding for Astrazeneka they should ask themselves why the US regulatory body (FDA) has not accepted this vaccine yet.
Lord Sumption gave the most coherent argument I have seen against the lockdown madness. This kind of cold logic is what we need advising no.10 instead of that petrified Whiity thing.
Much credit is given to the UK vaccine rollout but little acknowledgement of natural herd immunity taking place. No mention of the flawed PCR testing regime either, which has resulted in enormously inaccurate case numbers owing to myriad false positives. Now that use of the PCR (only recently corrected by the WHO) is giving a more realistic picture of case numbers, there are less false positives; a timely coincidence with the vaccine rollout. However, correlation is not causation.
Vaccinate the infirm and over 65's while allowing the immune systems of the young and virile to develop their own life-long defence. Vaccinating the young only condemns them to a lifelong dependance upon vaccines when dealing with new variants, but maybe that was the plan all along.
@@jeanpeace1277 Very well put Jean. At 58 years of age and dealing with issues surrounding M.E. (CFS) Covid represents a threat _'if'_ I contracted it, yet having experienced numerous _'autoimmune'_ responses to different medications as well as witnessing my 89 year old father experiencing his *'first ever blot clot'* ten days after the jab as well as my mother extreme exhaustion... I have made an informed decision not to take the jab deeming the threat of this variant of the flu [Covid] _'which I may or may not contact'_ ... less of a risk to my health than the autoimmune response I am certain would follow if I took it. If I didn't suffer with M.E. and the autoimmune issues surrounding it I might very well _'consider'_ taking the jab, but denying children to develop their own immune response to this _'flu'_ is criminal in my opinion. It will be interesting to see what consequences I _'might suffer'_ for making an informed decision regarding my own health having considered the threats Covid and Jab present, I guess I shall have to wait and see.
The BBC and BBC Scotland seem to be shutting down the Salmond Scottish crisis after a brief cursory mention. BBC should be protecting civil liberties and rooting out highly questionable political practises. Hopefully the new GB News channel will plug this democratic gap in British news reporting - and stop abuse of power by unscrupulous administrations.
Someone asked me if I saw the latest news about UK v EU on vaccinations. When he mentioned the BBC, I laughed out loud. After I finally stopped, I told him I hadn't watched the BBC since last year as they are biased against the UK, they mis-inform and lie to the public with their WOKENESS, and that I stopped paying my BBC licence. He was stunned (in a good way) after watching this channel. I'm not sure if he is a convert yet; but I'll keep at it! :-)

Sturgeon has previous form of underhand dealings. Almost 10 years ago while deputy 1st Minister she leant on a judge not to impose a custodial sentence on a foreign born, serial fraudster by the name of Abdul Rauf who had fleeced the taxpayer of £80,000 over 15 years. This became known as the 'Rauf affair' in which she was caught red handed but despite the serious nature of her dealings there was no sanction. To believe she had nothing to do with the Salmond conspiracy is fanciable. She organised and controlled it from the beginning, we all know it but can't as yet prove it.
American states have demonstrated that locked down states versus non lockdown states seems to have little difference. Imperial colleges models have been demonstrated to be completely wrong when applied to Sweden.
