1:00 I cannot stop laughing every time I watch that ep. Everyone was so frightened and the Snufkin just casually arrives saying he wants to be the same as Moomin gets me every time XD

Remember the exploding frog phenomena before you commit. (Birds pecked out the livers of frogs so they couldn't deflate after trying to make themselves look bigger, so they kept inflating until they exploded)
You should have included the scene where Snufkin wakes up Moomin in the morning to show him the hattifatteners. Or where he plays a song for him as he sleeps next to him after working on papa's chair all night.

This Snufkin will always and forever be the true Snufkin canon Snufkin! I love the fact that this forest hippie will give the universe the middle finger if it means he can’t be with his friends. He’s not only polite and kind to Moomin but also to his family and has great moments with each of them. He also does have some problems so he’s not perfect but he truly loves his friends and puts himself out there the best he could. Everyone in this series is so cute and likable and it will always be my favorite Moomin series next to the books. ^^
90s Moomin made Moomintroll feel very young and Snufkin fluctuated between being sometimes childish and other times older and wiser depending on what the show needed him to be. So their relationship always felt like a big brother taking care of his younger sibling. 2019 Moominvalley definitely makes them feel closer in age and more like equals.
I think the 90s one did a good job of showing them as equal ages, just very different experiences. They both get excited about things and rambunctious but moomin has the advantage of having his parents to fall back on, so he can afford to be a bit more childlike and innocent. Whereas snufkin is forced to take a more adult role sometimes because he only has himself to fall back on.
I noticed this as well while I was watching the series. Thanks for putting it all in a video. These two are so sweet, we definitely need more from them ♡♡♡♡
@@annaadkins In the Swedish dub theyre also the same age in voice idk why your english version sounds do young and why yojr moominpapoa dounds like a grandpa. Snuffkins name in swedish=Snus(mumrik)en hes species is then a Mumrik Little My is = Lilla My, wich stands for lilla Mymlan (little mymble) Her sidter and mother is also named = mymlan (mymble) Their species is = Mymla Hemulen= hes species is hemul. Theyre like pokemon they are the thing theyre named.
60s and 70s Moomin gives that same vibe. There snufkin is practically a young adult while Moomin is like 12 tops. 2019 is best for shipping. Any other version just feels a little…odd.
When I watched and Snufkin lied about the 5 minnows I was like: "SUCH A GOOD FRIENDDD AWWWWWWWWWWWWWW SNUUFFFFFFFFFFKIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN"
You should've added the scene from the last episode where Snufkin gives moomin his harmonica so that "he has something to remember him". It's makes me cry everytime!😭
Guys, stop acting so surprised that Snufkin cares about Moomin. They are best friends and Snufkin is as fond of Moonin as much as an antisocial vagabond could possibly be of an extroverted Moomin... Platonicly >.> As for Snufkin helping Moomin fish, i think he just didn't want such a catch to get away lol
That is one interpretation, yes. It's not the only "correct" interpretation, because there is no objectively "correct" interpretation. Are they platonic? Are they not? Entirely a matter of your opinion.
@@sea_slug yes, but moomin has shown interest in another character, snorkmaiden. And it's never been specified that the guys like each other. I like the ship, but there's not much proof that it is romantic.

The weirdos that think Snufkin and Moomin are romantic clearly haven't had a caring friend before and fall in love with everyone that's nice to them -_-
