Titan Quest is the game I played longest in my life, maybe if I count the time, its gonna be months non stop of playing. Hopefully they will make more DLCs.

There are two things that keep me coming back to TQ over other games. The world/story and the itemisation. ARPG devs seem to have lost the ability to understand items. TQ (and a couple others) items blow D3,4 itemisation out of the water. Every D3 character feels the same, D4 will be like that too...and everyone will do 80 quadrillion damage per hit while zooming about faster than light speed while blowing whole screens up. D4 will be like that in time, I guarantee you. TQ has near endless builds I want to try. A single MI, Epic or Legendary with a cool stat can make a completely different build. D3 had practically nothing like that.

I also enjoy Titan Quest much more than D4. I think D4 feels like a cheap soulless mobile MMO. That's the best I can describe it. Titan Quest on the other hand doesn't feel like that. I just started TQ all over again after like 10 years or more probably. Awesome time to enjoy that beautiful game again.

I prefer TQ over D3, in TQ I think the gear you find are more valuable than in D3. I was blocked at the garden of esperides for days dying against Lodon ( and trying new gear) until I got Kybele, in D3 you go change built and just try to improve the stats on any gear issue solved.

I've been playing TQ for the first time those days and I'm loving it. The game is simple and solid, it doesn't try to be what's it isn't and is quite fun to build your character and smash to anything that comes in your way. A good portion of freedom, wide range of enemies and scenarios, good spacing between one thing and another, that help with the feeling of 'isn't I killing zombies for the last 1 hour?' Modern ARPG like diablo 4 of course have better presentations, but it doesn't live to the hype... Either because is too simple to entertain the audience for too long (kind like Diablo 3), or too complex for casual playing (poe). Basically is either a general audience game or a niche game. One game that manages to overcome that was elden ring, and end up being a masterpiece, which I highly doubt that Diablo 4 could imitate.

TQ is not perfect, but is very good indeed. I feel that itemization is a little weird, in the sense that I hardly catch myself wondering 'is this item better?' usually the answer is no, maybe it is because the game does not have too many modifiers that actually matters to you, or lacks of modifiers that have sinergies with your build. I know the game does have a lot of modifiers, but it feels weird, this is one thing that PoE is very good, because itens can have a wider range of modifiers and you usually wants a combination of 3 to 6 ones. Anyway my point is that once you find a good blue item that is good for your build, you will hardly find a yellow or green that could replace it.

The class system is awesome, but the skill system feels a little too simple. You have freedom to choose the ones you like, but they seem limited. As a first time player it was awesome to see the skill tree at the first minutes and then be able to choose a secondary one, very good, but... That's it. There is no further enhancements or skill progression after that..and none dlc added that. Would be nice to be able to level up our skills even further, thing like 'reduce recharge', '+1 projectile' or even unlock new skills for your chosen class. The game still very good anyway.

I only recently learned that the lead designer of the original Titan Quest release, Brian Sullivan, (and apparently he also was co creator of Age of Empires 2 and Age of Mythology) actually worked on all the new expansions directly aswell. That's a true labor of love by a game developer, and when you see interviews with him in 2006, he has the same smile on his face which i have when playing Titan Quest. I think he deserves a lot more recognition for what's basically his oeuvre in game development, as far as i'm aware. And what i get from this video is that Diablo 4 seems to be a great game but doesn't beat Titan Quest for you personally. I will play Diablo 4 as well when it releases, but Titan Quest will keep its own "immortal throne", sorry for the pun, i'm sure as well.

I think is just you, cause you play this game so long and no tired of it. I really love Titan Quest, but i didn't even get legendary difficulty, i just get bored... Especially when game force me to beat Ragnarok every time. And... the masteries i think is a little boring these days.

I ended up with a lot of tries, builds and characters, but I always give up somewhere in the middle of an epic difficulty, when leveling is become incredibly slow.

@@CromCruach 3x loot/xp mod my friend. If you buy ember, you can instantly start on legendary. Levelling and farming gear is the entire point of an arpg though, i've got multiple chars/builds on the go at any one time, have been playing for over a decade myself, and STILL playing. That's a testament to its replayability and nuance as a game, and an arpg

Diablo IV : Where is the Diablo's atmosphere? Why again the seasons and the loss of your char(s)? Why a so poor tree (new game, not complete)? Why a world boss you have to beat with other players (MMO or HnS)? I prefer Last Epoch, at this point.

We know for like 3 years already that Diablo IV is going to be a bit MMO oriented, it´s nothing new. For the case you didn´t knew: Diablo isn´t out yet. It releases in 3 months so there are still some incomplete aspects. But here we are: Welcome to the age of the never satisfied toxic gaming community. Whatever you try to do, people are NEVER satisfied. Sad.

Every game is different and it can not satisfy every single player out there. We all can decide what we want to play though and this is what we do, if a game is not good for you, you can go with something else and enjoy.

Where is the Diablo's atmosphere? Well imo they did excellent job in D4 with that and many people agree. You will not lose your char when season ends its just for fresh start for competitive players usually. Skill tree is quite underwhelming i agree and i dont think paragons will save that. My biggest issue with D4 is the enemy lvl scaling ruining the good feel of level up and itemization looks pretty boring so far.

I am very disappointed. I finish the game (the 10 suns) and... nothing. No orb, no portal... Strange!🙃 When I come back to Aton, the pharaoh gave me money and XP, cool. Bout why no boss orb?

I thinkTQ is still better, diablo 4 is super easy, it meant for 4 year old childreen. Diablo 4 is slower then fate 2. Even Van Helsing is better, it has mini games. My friends are avoiding it until its 5$
