I remember Sacred. Then was Sacred 2 and 3. I remember Diablo 1-3. Then was 4. I'm not afraid, I just want to see gameplay, interface and atleast beta before something I believe in make me feel pain.

My son played this game (TQ1) since he was 6 years old (born 2005) and he still plays it! Tried but didn't like Diablo, Vran or Van Helsing, only TQ. When he was 8, we flew to Athens, Greece for his love of this game and Greek mythology (that he learned about from the game). The little guy literally ran up the Acropolis to see the Parthenon. As of now, I play online with him and my daughter. Incredible, unbelievable news!

If people actually thought titans quest was a d2 reskin they never played it. It is still one of the best arpgs out there. The dual class system and skill synergies was way ahead of its time. If you didn’t play grim Dawn you should. It’s basically titans quest in a different setting. Great game.

There's no need to exaggerate just because a few people who never played the game called it a reskin of D2, when it wasn't. Titan Quest is definitely one of the best arpgs ever made but it isn't better than D2. It also came out nearly a decade after D2 so of course it was "ahead" in some metrics. As for it being a better setting, a subjective discussion, I disagree. Diablo's lore/setting is far more unique than Titan Quest's can ever be, by their nature. Titan Quest's setting strength is also its weakness. It is awesome that it is based around various culture's mythology but that is also what hampers it, in my opinion. It is not unique and has been visited in video games...a lot.

The original had some of the most impressive lighting effects of its time. Sunlight and shadow actually looked like sunlight and shadow. And unlike most games of the time, if you walked through tall grass, the grass actually moved in response to you, unlike the fake "ghost grass" of other games. It was those subtle details that helped make the world more immersive. It was still something of a linear "follow the yellowbrick road" kind of adventure. And I would have preferred having the ability to rotate the camera, as we were initially expecting. Not perfect, but for what was available then, one of the best in the action RPG genre. I sank many hours into it. Even my late uncle played it.

What I always loved about Titan Quest, was how historical it felt. At the start of the game you were literally just a dude (or gal) with a knife, roaming through the greek countryside. Only far into the game and in the expansions your surroundings got truly fantastical, by by this point it felt like a natural progresion since you already killed a titan. I hope they can recreate that feeling with the sequel.

The expansions on Titan Quest made me extremely happy that the game was not completely forgotten. I always thought that Titan Quest deserved more credit, and I always hoped for Titan Quest II, but to be honest, I never expected for it to happen. Well, now this is something I am really excited for!

I hope it is not always online so modding is possible or local hosting for workshop content (titan quest with 3-10 times as many enemies was sooooo much fun), features the option of mixing classes for deep customization and builds and has a a whole bunch of creatures from myths and legends to fight.

Dear THQ Nordic, Thank you for bringing back Titan quest. I've been waiting for a very long time for this. Is there going to be a shape shifter class or I can turn into mythological creatures? Or have a pet? That's a mythological creature? I'm Greek and I would love to turn into a Hydra or have a pet hydra. Or Minotaur or something badass like that. I can play so many other games and turn into a bear or have a wolf pet and frankly I'm bored with wolves. This setting really has a chance to be different and I would love more mythological stuff

The main reason I bought into Early Access for Grim Dawn was because the main developers from the original Titan Quest were there (loved the first game), and that game (Grim Dawn) was (still is) awesome. Hope the team behind this one can make a proper sequel to Titan Quest...I'm all in as of now...crossing fingers. ;)

Wow, it only took me a mere growing up to live to this day. Child me who had to beg my father to get me the first one back in the day, spending so many early mornings of the weekends grinding those first three acts is rejoicing for holding out hope for all these years. Hopefully, just like the first one, this will be one that I can come back to for many years to come. Hopefully this comment can be replicated once I get ready for retirement when the announcement trailer for the third one drops.

Then I'm curious what you think about all the inaccuracies in this trailer. Like, Sparta famously didn't have any city walls and they were mocked in antiquity for not having huge ornamented statues, temples, and structures like the Athenians had. Yet we see all of that in this trailer. The Fates talking in an Arabic accent is also kind of strange.

Actually, you raise some excellent points - well-spotted! While the accents may just be an attempt to add mystic (and is thus excusable), the portrayal of Sparta as a sort of doppelganger of Athens is an inaccuracy comes across as a case where historical factuals are (over)stretched for the sake of artistic liberties. Sadly, this is a relative common (mis)direction followed by historical games and I wish developers would hire more people (like you and I!) to point out these little inaccuracies so that the quality of the game is enhanced even more! 🤗 @@ruveng.9058

I'm going to get all emotional. Titan Quest, my first ARPG and, in my books, the king of the genre itself, is really getting sequel. For the long time, I considered it more of a fool's hope, and yet here it is. This goes to my wishlist without question. THQ Nordic, on behalf of me and all my fellow fanboys and fangirls of this franchise, thank you. You have already done more than enough for us by resurrecting first game, and now you give us a sequel. Please, reuse the original TQ soundtrack theme though, it is so bound with this franchise it would be great loss not to include it. Also, I do hope regions of settings will (even as DLCs, in your case, I won't say a thing if you do it that way) also include other mythologies, such as old veterans Egypt and Orient (and I wouldn't mind India and Mesoamerica either). Once again, thank you. Where many other publisher fail, you just keep rising!

@@max417481both Greek and Roman mythology are adapted from the much older Egyptian pantheon of gods, and the symbolism of Egyptian divine avatars are seen all over the world. Ra, Zeus, and Odin are each gods of the sky. Each symbolized by an eye and some kind of flying bird. Ra was first.

I remember coming to a video game store when I was 10 and still pretty clueless about gaming. I really loved topdown RPG's but I was too scared to play Diablo. So I asked the guy there if he knows a game that combines Diablo's gameplay with Greek mythology, (which I was really into back then) and he said: "Well, there's Titan Quest." And the rest is sweet, sweet history...

I recommend Grim Dawn if you want a slightly more recent take on Titan Quest. It's from the same developers who made Titan Quest, unlike Titan Quest 2.

17 лет! 17 мать его лет.. Неужели это взаправду?! После жалких и отвратительных длс, я думал Титанам конец. Всеми силами молю, пусть эта будет та самая шикарная история о богах и титанах, как первая! Отныне, самое желаемое ожидание! В первой части я просидел наверно свыше 3-5 тысяч часов, перепробовал очень много-многое, и просто с удовольствием перепроходил её постоянно :) Ждём!

I'm not sure I've ever been this excited for a game xD My first ever PC upgrade was to play Titan Quest, which I played the demo of on my dad's work laptop and then proceeded to play for several years. I actually learned so much from the first game too - so hyped.

I only played Titan Quest recently, but I'm so happy to see this! I'm a little cautious since it's made by different developers, but I can't help but to feel a bit excited. I love the ancient Greek setting.

Hope we will be able to visit other mythologies. Don't get me wrong, I love greek mythology. But it's so well known and overused, it's became boring (and scandinavian mythology too).

у первой части куча длс вышло,я все прошел кроме последнего там надо высокоуровнего перса иметь или сразу создать высокоуровнего,я попробовал мне надрали жопу и я так и не прошел последнее длс.=/В описании видео ччылка на игру в стиме ина сайте там есть скриншоты игры.

At long last!, A surprise to be sure but a welcome one! Right on time, I've recently finished all the content with a minion build. I really hope that we'll have great minions and propogating spells like infections, curses, fire, madness (causing enemy "friendly fire") and better summons overall, I'd love to run an Eldritch minion overlord who's also dangerous up close and at range with reflect. Or a minion master with a high range lethal aura that uses propagation/infection with shields and buffs.
