fun fact: splash damage from the cannonballs goes through the closed door, so at any invasion i just sit in my tall ass box building at the first level, put one cannon on each side and block the doors off with banners, cause apparently mobs can't push the door when it's a banner in the way

Cannons are kinda nutty if they connect. I started a Skeletron Prime fight with almost every arm GONE.

I remember when these first got introduced in 1.2, they were cool but so awkward, cumbersome, and difficult to use that I never used them for anything, I just wish there was a hand-cannon item that you could use, it would obviously have to be weaker but it would be cool if there was one you could fire cannonballs out of and pierce multiple enemies.

We were having trouble with the destroyer so I said “fuck it” so I got a cannon and it got shredded and I felt like a god.

It actually used to be a meta strat for fighting skeletron prime early hardmode using a cannon. It made killing him take a matter of about a minute, but this was quite a long time ago. Not sure how it would work today, but I imagine not nearly as good as it used to be

I’ve done the cannon against hard mode bosses, just make a huge line as close as you can next to eachother and face them all up. Then you just gotta spam which ever cannon theyre above

Never knew you could launch no-damage cannonballs with wiring! I could use that for some set pieces.

This only use for explosive bunnies is setting the free all over you boss arena to get an army

I think it would be fun if they got a re-work, making you sit in them and aim more fluidly at cost of mobility. It could also make way for other weapons like this, and that would be fun for multi - you could fortify your base even more.

my favorite way of dealing with the goblin army is cannons on the castle walls, it was a wonderful addition to the lava moat.

I found it quite good against the hallowed mimic when playing early expert hard mode, as I struggled with the fight and needed to try get the stormbow as early as possible, it worked good because you can choose where the mimic spawns.

I set up a farm for pumpkin moon where you abuse I-frames with honey and spikes, then fire the cannon straight vertical with the kill platform below. When pumpkings show up it hits them twice and it shreds. Easily wave 10.

When I played 1.2 in my phone (ogram) I used to deal with mechanical bosses and ogram. I love it

the cannon can actually be really good against bosses if you have two players, one sits in honey with other regen items and lures the boss to him, this only works with some bosses but the other player has a cannon lined up, then the cannon user spams the cannon and it can be pretty good

Try to defeat mechs with only cannons. Proceeds to place a mass of them. Aim them all up. Multiple rows. Now gotta go fast with cannonballs. Not all may hit. But some will.

I used the cannon against dreadnautilus. I put myself in some blocks so only the spin attack would sometimes hit me, but the cannon melts it pretty fast when the mini boss is above you.

There's a playthrough someone did called "demolitionist class" and they beat all the mechs using the cannons.

i used the bunny cannon to farm golem and it worked really well

I have used cannons for the frost moon but i couldnt make it further than the wave where the ice queen comes in. And i tried it like that but i never got something from the ice queens. sad story but cannons are very good for that if you have the right arena where the mobs only spawn below you.

rabbit cannon is the best, i remember when golem was first added to console my world didnt have a temple door so i faught it really early, activated the bunny cannon through a wall a bunch and had golem dead pre mechanical bosses

A mechanism that can't do damage when optimized so you can only use it while standing still. Because standing still is a great idea during boss fights. Brilliant.

My brother and I built a areana and set up cannons and beated plantera with cannons on the Xbox 360,was very fun.

An upwards broadside barrage against bosses could work. Aim a row of cannons facing the sky, then run pass them with the boss over the cannons and open fire while running pass. 50 plus percent of the barrage should hit the target.

The memories, when I would play terraria with my sister we couldn't defeat planterra (first time ever in hard mode) so I set cannons in the arena for my sister to use because she wasn't good at the game I had turtle armor and would fight her while my sister followed on the many cannons I set up. It was great.

When I first played on xbox 360 I couldn't beat the twins and skeletron prime so I made an arena the size of my world and filled it with cannons and it still took me a few attempts I think I used cannons for ocram too

Cannon is how I beat mech bosses the first time I was ever in hardmode. Fine choice, very pricy. Useful especially for spazmatism when he sits on the same horizontal plane. Shredded his health and let me out-dps the end of the night. Skeletron Prime also stands in predictable spots if you stay still, making cannons useful

Fun fact: in 1.3 my friend and I killed plantera in roughly 70 seconds using bunny cannons and pre plantera armor. Idk if this works in 1.4 but it was a sight to see
