I could tell immediately at the :03 second mark that that is the 1st tornado that formed just south of Seymour TX on May 1 , 2019 , right before the more photogenic one formed a bit north of there . Didn't even watch your video yet .. will watch now ! I dont think I'm going to be disappointed!

Great videos, you've been showing up recommended in my feeds lately! I'm not usually that moose but I'd highly recommend skip talbot's videos on storm chaser situation awareness. I can see you are familiar with a lot of storm spotting concepts but you gave yourself very little room for error. I noticed in this video and a few others, that you rely on the condensation funnel to make visual contact with the ground. This isn't usually the case, more often than not you will see subtle ground circulation if dust gets kicked up with or without a visible funnel cloud. If you can see a funnel cloud and dust below it, even with nothing in between, that is enough to confirm the tornado is on the ground. When you thought you were in the ghost train, you may have actually been in the outer bounds of a weaker tornado just making contact with the ground below the funnel cloud you were observing in front of you. The ground circulation isn't always directly beneath the funnel cloud, it can sometimes trail ahead or lag behind where you would intuitively expect it to be. Try to imagine the centrifugal force at the point of the funnel cloud and where it might "throw" its ground circulation to get an idea of the actual safe distance from the funnel cloud or rotating wall cloud. In the case of a rotating wall cloud, start at the center and keep in mind that dangerous ground circulation can be present even before a funnel cloud is visible as well. Hey! We both busted on 5/1 in the same spot 😂 I would have caught the Seymour tornadoes as well, but as I was closing in from the East, I lost road networks and had no choice but to wait for the storm to cross the river. By that time it already produced the tornadoes. Stayed on it all the way to Gainesville, but still bummed knowing I could have bagged those tornadoes had it been for a better road network....

He’s in the bears cage with consist hail, rain and terrible winds, it is in between the rain wrapped and the tornado. The bears cage is just as if not more dangerous than the tornado
